35:34 This. People always seem to dismiss emotional and mental damage. They’re like, “well the victims didn’t get physically hurt so it’s no big deal”. But physical wounds heal, psychological ones are much harder to heal especially when people want to pretend they don’t even exist.
I got a weird anti-trans one on part one. Weird how some get ads & some don't, but The Platform has been fucking around with ads (including what they called "tolerance testing", seeking the "ceiling", i.e. max number users will tolerate before leaving the app or buying Premium). Placement & number of ads are no longer the decision of the channels / content creators themselves, and they now play on videos that don't even have Ad$en$e enabled and inactive channels. Hooray.
One possible reason for being anti-union is that an MLM org-chart isn't actually perfectly triangular. Or rather, there are two parallel organizations. One layer is the distributor lines with the founders at the capstone of the structure similar in shape to ancient Egyptian architecture. These are technically customers of the company so no unionization there. The other layer is the core staff (administrators, accountants, legal, PR, etc) that are usually proper employees of the company. Some of these may be contractors but certainly not all, so they can still be concerned about unionization there.
That's a well-constructed argument, but I think the core issue is that conservatism is about preserving hierarchies. Any concept or activity which would result in a flattening presents an existential threat to their self image. Hence their propensity to respond with violence.
@@cf453 My comment was in response to the part of the video where they speculated that Amway's anti-union activity must be purely ideological because downlines can's form unions so unions wouldn't affect them. Of course the ideological reasons are still there and I agree with you about the core issue, but I don't think conservatives are often introspective enough to dig that deeply into their own ideology.
That list is over all a troll, but vandalizing the bathrooms happened and at my friend's kids school, some kid stole an entire bench. This was a middle school. You have to be in awe of a middle schooler who figures out how to steal an entire bench.
middle school is the lowest point of human behavior. i don't know why anyone is surprised by what 11-14 y/os will do given any prompt. imagine being 13 and having tiktok to triple dog dare you. the peak of a lack of frontal lobe
@scarletkittyeyes I totally agree, but if you asked me at that age to steal an entire bench, I wouldn't have been able to pull that off. Now that I'm old enough to have a tween of my own, if I did I'd be low key proud of them for figuring out how to steal a bench without me knowing.
The Ticktock challenge thing just reminds me of the whole era of news where they would make up fake emoji codes and acted liie they were a universal way to talk behind parents back, like young people are that massively coordinated. Yet same adults think that people actually wanted to eat tidepods, not that they wanted to take a photo pretending to and not realizing the outside dissolves. Like the whole joke was that you can't eat it because it's harmful. It's almost like these kids are strong and weak at the same time and oh....
The sucky part about smart people is that it's damn near impossible to convince them that a belief they came to irrationally is wrong. That part at the 46:00 mark really hit hard.
Thoughts on Tyler/Owen cook, of RSD? He’s a motivational speaker/self help seminar guy. I randomly found him on RUclips, and listened to a bunch of his long form stuff. Enjoyed it. Saw him live, and got a totally different vibe.
The idea that a grad student shouldn't get sucked into a system that wastes potential and offers no reward shows a fundamental misunderstanding of the power dynamics of academia
I’m not a Christian but I’m pretty sure “let he who is without sin cast the first stone” is a Christian concept. I wonder if DeVos thinks he’s without sin
Relistening here and there, it would be cool to have pictures of the guests along with Robert if you dudes get the chance going forward.
Heck yeah
They should have gay porn on a loop. Each ep a new gif.
And animate their faces smashing together and exploding like they do with the cgi team helmets for the NFL
🎵ARE YOU READY FOR SOME BASTARDS🎵
Actually this whole podcast is just a vessel for Robert to practice his impressions. There are no guests

Dick Chrysler is a politician from Michelin.
Michigan!
Nice Freudian slit
Slip!
Interesting. Actually got RUclips ads for this one. The first one was a scam ad for a "morning routine" that could "cure" hearing loss.

I would like to learn more of this morning routine and it's cure for hearing loss

Glad these are getting posted, never listened to them before
Actually mild to moderately excited for these.
Thanks for listening!
You guys bring much joy and light into the world...with your black humor. Thank you.

I recently hosted a Jamaican BBQ party. We called it JerktemberFest and made a holiday of it. 🇯🇲 🍗 🐖 🍛
Come on down to Big Dick Chrysler! Our Dick is Big, but our prices are small!
I had to check my family tree to see how closely related I am to sue and luckily the lines split off long ago lmao

Ford was from Michigan too

If I hear the words Glister or Artistry or the name Jack Daughery (don't remember how that charlatan spelled it) I'm gonna mark out
Oh my god XS! I remember that shit! It jostled memories of them pushing healing magnets and rhodeola
Sorry, Robert's wrong. Here in NH we used to have a Richard Swett as our US Senator.
Yes, he goes by the nickname "Dick".
The difference between Amway and slavery is a slave will run away if given a chance.
Churchill wasn't really that witty. Most of what he said was "ivrumablefobavlewba" because he was drunk all the time.
Gas lighting is the American way...
