Every Amway person I've met, never answers questions, they just circle around it using vague language with big words, and it takes forever for them to say the company name
@Iotola Whohehe Exactly right, there's a lot of misdirection, withholding of information, and outright lying. Not sure about whether an Amway employee can be a distributor, I know one and I'll check.
I came across several myself and this happens quite often. They tend to delay the name drop because they fear that the person would know the company's name and would go negative beast mode on them. We're humans so we try to avoid anything that would "attack" us. You know... survival instincts. I've met several Amway IBOs that are pretty awesome people and some not so cool. Like Dave said, either you're positive or negative there's no in between.
Patrick Nguyen Also, to say “it’s Amway” is largely not the point and not entirely the REAL answer to the question. Amway is just the company, a tool that I use because they ALLOW me to leverage their inventory and distribution systems. As an IBO, you get to put a name on your business because you control it, and you control you.
Honestly just avoid amway and all other pyrimad schemes. Its that simple. There is no good mlm, they are all 'by design' setup to make less than 1% very rich and 99% very poor. Its not you that failed, its you that got scammed by that 1% that pitched you the scam. Of course someone made money, thats how a scam like this works, its not 100% lose for all silly or it wouldn't be scam.
There's the problem, you thought it was a sales pitch. If you thought you were being pitched something, then you were clearly not paying attention and don't have what it takes for business owner mentality.
@@viz2790 funny how the idea of mlm is to feed off the fears of those who think they arent anywhere in life without being a business owner or being in mlm, doing stupid seminars about entrepreneurship and empty questions being told to you. Wake up, the only reason amway is still in business is because they arent just a mlm but they own orlando magic, hotels, and many other random avenues that make it impossible for the government to shutdown.
MLMs will ruin your relationships because you have to turn relationships into income. That will wear thin on your friends who are mostly just buying stuff because they feel bad for you.
@@gratitudesociety5587 MLMs are all about leveraging your social circle to make money off them. If you think that's "not true", congratulations, you're part of someone's social circle.
I have to say, dude handled that caller's question rather eloquently -- neither endorsing nor denouncing. Like -- it MIGHT work for you, but it might NOT, and it would require X, Y, and Z from you, so...is this really what you wanna do?
The inherent problem with any MLM group is that the focus is always on recruiting people. Theoretically, the more people you have layered under you the more money you make. However, for the layering to work everyone underneath you has to be successfully selling the product. That doesn't happen because they all want to get as many people recruited underneath themselves as well so the focus is not on selling the product. Without the product sales no one in any level makes any money.
In Amway it is done by getting people to sign up for “ditto” delivery every month. The distributors are their own beat costumer as they stockpile inventory.
Here's the problem. If you have a product that is good enough to sell on its own why do you need other people to sell it for you? You don't see Walmart asking other people to sell their products do you?
Well they do open up hundreds of stores which sort of like bringing new people into the business. Franchising is similar in concept to MLM. Sam Walton could never have made a fortune in the orginal store standing at a cash register checking people out. MLM is similar to franchising but different.
You will either be driven to do something, or you will be drawn to do something. The best advice Dave says here is that you need to understand what will be required of you. Not all MLM’s are the same. Just like not all financial advisors are the same. Gather some facts, make a decision, and don’t whine over not getting results that you haven’t worked for...IN ANY FIELD!
I agree that just like some MLMS sell garbage so does some major companies. The worst part is just like in companies with poor leadership, horrible organizational ideas, horrible trainers and horrible results. Same goes for MLMs, you get what you get if you don't vet your recruiter 😉.
I was in Amway and recruited my brother and two of his friends. Within months I lost all of them and the bonus that helped me out a lot because it made them uncomfortable with how pushy you had to be with the product or the business. I was even uncomfortable having to talk to 10 strangers every day, what really made me walk away was the fact that my upline, my mentor and support, was incredibly disrespectful when I had moved away and wanted to join another branch. It makes people greedy to an extent that all they’re thinking about is money and how to make more. The products are great, I love their home and laundry cleaning products and the vitamins are the best on the market I’ve found so far. (Open to comparable options). I’m not a sales person, I didn’t like the person I had become when I was an IBO, I just miss the wholesale discount.
U can buy them thru my account. Just like a customer. My goal is to reach sales for $1,000,000 in a year. This is not a small business for small minds. I have a $9 billion platform to use it. Bst Rgds
Yeah I would be upset to if I partnered with you and devoted my time and energy into supporting and coaching you only for you to want to join someone else lol.
@@TheBurn65 I wasn’t coached or helped in any way. Even when I would ask for help I was told to listen to audios and given books. That’s not mentorship or coaching which is why I looked to go somewhere else. You wouldn’t be a good mentor because of your attitude to this comment, there is no empathy only hostility and resentment.
I'm an Amway Business Associate. I did not sign up for the mentorship part of the business as the Mentorship Groups are a separate entity. I got into it soley for the products. Multi Level isn't for everyone. One thing I've learned is don't sell a dream if you aren't living the dream.
I wouldn’t recommend it. It ruinied my relationships and put me in debt. The compensation plan will not get you paid what you’re being told. U are strongly encouraged to buy inventory to sell for samples. And it’s an old school cold call use all your contacts recruiter system. Unless you are already well off and have the money and time to burn in case it doesn’t work, then go for it.
Well to be honest is not that the platform doesn’t work it’s the people who get involved who don’t make it work thous to those who do make it WORK THE CORRECT WAY THEIRS A DIFFERENCE,this doesn’t work with leaving your jobs in general this is a partial part time that comes in the end and if you educate your self correctly and work with the right informers I myself I’m from New Jersey contact me if you want HUGE SUCCESS(OPPORTUNITY OUT HERE) plus like this guy said in the video is %100 correct both from how to approach anyone and if they don’t like it or wants to hear the info it’s simple Ok no problem my friend Thank You anyways for letting me come this far with you.Have a good day.
Still_Meig B That “old school cold call use all your contacts recruit system” thing, that isn’t true at all. Might’ve been the case 30 years ago but not now.

@@patrickdroney4443 More like Right, MLM is a pyramid scheme plain and simple, go ahead and be fooled to make a negative amount of money...but any business that requires you to make more people to be low level sellers is dumb. Especially if you rely on your facebook group.
I actually feel like he spoke the truth about the industry... It certainly is not for everybody. And, there is a real toxicity with the way some businesses train their recruits the think about others. But, there are a few who have figured it out, without ruining relationships or integrity. He also said, honestly, that he's not a fan in general. But, he acknowledged the legitimacy of the industry, with respect to some of the companies.
also one piece of advice that i can offer to anyone thinking about doing amway is, at the end of the day you should make your own decisions because IT IS YOUR BUSINESS and you should run it like it is your business win or lose. dont be afraid to lose, losing can be good because it teaches what not to do and empowers you to make your own decisions.
It is NOT your business 😂 you’re just a sales person who sells AMWAY products. Not your products. They just want you to have that title so you make more sales. If it was YOUR business you wouldn’t have to have 30,000 customers to make $5
I have been "invited" to share a "business opportunity" a few times, sometimes it is embarrassing to say no. In the UK Amway get round the law by claiming it is a business education system. The indoctrination of recruits urges them to not let others "STEAL THEIR DREAMS" what it really means is not to let outsiders give you sensible advice. The products are rarely mentioned, it is all about recruiting more and more mugs to join the system. I have witnessed a number of people put huge effort into making a success of it to no avail. One thing that Amway representatives don't like is people that can do the mental arithmetic quickly.
@@lkempis100 I don't know or remember the details but the priority was to induct more and more people. A great opportunity to lose friends, the business model was supposed to change when pyramid selling was outlawed so they pretend to be something else.....
I had several meetings with my recruiter, and went to their suit and tie meeting. I didn’t hear the word Amway or about the selling of products until I was over an hour into their presentation. It was manipulative.
The challenge that I had with Amway was the fact that the seller would not take NO for an answer. The first person who tried to sell me the product - after I told him no- called in his manager to persuade me to purchase the Amway product.. I in turn called in my husband who successfully threw them both out the house! Lol! That in and of itself was a complete turn off from Amway. They were way too aggressive and pushy The experience was unsatisfying.
I am truly sorry to hear about this experience, but the problem you have/had wasn't with Amway itself. Your problem is with people whom you encountered whom were selling Amway products. All it take is $62 a year and you can have a license to sell their products and build a business. Some people are taught to be overly aggressive with their sales tactics (by their sponsors, not Amway), some are taught how to treat people as human beings a just offer to fill a need if they see one, but to take "no" for an answer if it is given (again, by their sponsors, not Amway). I just politely ask that you not base your entire opinion of Amway, the company, off of two knucklehead distributors. All Amways really does is make products for the distributors to sell. They don't teach how to sell them. I hope that helps!
@@Brandon-218 How so? I haven't lost more than I have gained. Granted, if you stock pile prodects like a traditional store and are unable to sell said products all you have to do is return them to Amway for a full refund because Amway offers a 6 month money back guarantee on all of their products. But, why buy/stockpile products when you have your own website where you can direct customer's to so that they can buy from you there and have Amway take care of the shipping (just like Amazon)? Just be careful who take advice from on how to build a successful Amway business. No, you do not lose money by getting involved with Amway. You save money and also get paid a percentage back from the products that you use on a regular basis anyways. It's a pretty sweet deal!
As an IBO, I AGREE WITH YOU... They did not treat you person, so it kept a bad taste in your mouth, like sour milk... I apologize for such aggression on behalf of all of those who are NOT like THAT... it's either for you or it's not. I have no problem taking no for an answer. Most fail to realize the more No's you get.. the closer you are to that one yes.. you're always only 6degrees away from your mission being fulfilled for That day
If a person try to sell you Amway product, be very careful. It is a scam. If he tells you that the product works better that other product, he is not telling you the truth. The real reason why people or he got involved with Amway, (MLM) is the concept of RESIDUAL INCOME. That is getting paid over and over again for doing something only once. The product is only secondary. So if a person try to sell you Amway products and try to convince you that they are greatest product, it maybe true or not. But the Amway distributor knows something you don't. Something that may not have explain to you or you not understanding why thousands of people are so fascinated with this industry. If the idea of getting paid over and over for doing something only once appeal to you, then maybe MLM is for you. If the idea of repeat work for repeat pay is for you - then staying in a job is for you.
My father went diamond in the 90s he quit his job in 1984 and hasn't worked since. I built with my wife and we reached almost 4000pv, our best IBO quit then started recruiting our group to another MLM and blew our team out. We didn't have it in us to rebuild. I know it can work as my dad has lived a very leisurely life, traveling, nice cars etc.. (he's 67 now) We may choose to build again we may not. If I do I would do a couple things differently. 1. I wouldn't recruit people I know. It can hurt relationships and it gets easy to recruit strangers after the initial fear of doing it passes. 2. I would not hide what it is. Either they will be positive or negative about it. I'll straight up tell them it's Amway and ask what are your thoughts? Yes? Great let's grab a coffee. No? Great it was nice to meet you. Just my 2 cents.
Cel3381 your dad succeeded because he was in long before Amway switched over to the pyramid scheme it now is. He was already established. Your expenditures will always be more than any net gain. Just accept you are a commission based salesman and recruiter. That’s it. You aren’t a business owner. You aren’t a mentor.
Im happy for your father, that choose not to listen to the no's and followed his dreams this people saying negatives things are still asleep they choose not to educate them selfs. Its only a reflection of who they are. There are great leaders in amway.
Cel3381 Where you in any training group to help you build your Amway business? You can rebuild! I bet you it’s worth it. What’s the alternative? Work for 40+ years.
Kelsey Samuels The thing is, people forget there are so many people that love their job and want that so badly. The amount of people on isolation right now that are hating it and missing work shows that! I work in a school, part time and there’s lots of teachers here that are way past retirement and want to work, they love their job and don’t want to retire and stay at home everyday, everyone has different passions and goals :)
As others in the comments have said, it's very telling how Dave dances around this question and refuses to give a straight answer. He goes on about how MLMs have super high turnover (read: people who lost money and decided to stop the bleeding), but refuses to condemn MLMs as the pyramid schemes they are. Why? His friends who make 7 figures in this industry are a clue. AmWay was founded by the family of Betsy DeVos' husband, who is the current CEO. Could these people run in Dave's social circle?
What is more risky debt or joining an MLM? I wonder why he equivocated so much with this? Dave is such a strong advocate of winning with money and MLMs are a loosing proposition for 98% of those recruited.
The Lead Quote Personally, putting your life and your future in the hands of someone else, building their dream, that’s just stupid. I’d much rather roll the dice with an Amway business than have a job. At least I can control the results in Amway.
I’ve personally made money in MLM It’s great if your trainer is knowledgeable. If not your left to make mistakes and in my case it could cost everyone their license. People don’t like talking in person as much anymore. Social media will blow up any business.
Dave Ramsey, you failed your callers in this answer. The business structure of MLM is unethical. Not to mention entire churches have been torn apart by this business model, especially when the pastor or elder’s wife starts selling. This is very sad to me and dishonoring to the Lord. Be brave and tell the truth, even when it’s unpopular. Your friends who made millions did so by definition at the expense of others they recruited.
MLM is the most ethical business model why because the people that sell the product are actual users of the products. How are you going to sell somthing you dont even use ? That's is unethical. Would like to hear your explanation
Jorge Marquez it’s unethical because it almost always requires you to exploit your friendships for profit. It tends to provide false hope to working class people with poor financial intelligence (because of bad schooling) because the profit isn’t even very much for 99% of them
@@jorgemarquez1767 To start, it requires you to exploit your personal relationships to succeed. Be it family, friends, or fellow church-goers. If you do not do this, you cannot mathematically succeed. For them to also succeed, they must exploit their person relationships. At some point you'll find a foundation of people who will sign on, but cannot or will not exploit their relationships, and they will lose money. The people at the top get the rewards, only at the expense of the misery of the people at the bottom.
My Wife and I joined Amway in the 90s. We enjoyed the 10 or so years we where involved with the business. I suppose we where fortunate in that we were sponsored buy a couple who happened to be very successful with it, emerald level when we meet them. They really didn't lead us buy the hand or do it for us. We had to decide if we wanted to really wanted to make a go of it or as a business ie, building a large downline or not. For myself I knew what I wanted to achieve from the first moment I saw the plan, as we used to say. They where extremely supportive and held nothing from us. In two years we were their sixth profit sharing direct distributer for diamond level. I completely loved what I was doing, and would still be in there helping other like minded folks today where it not for some swelling changes that occurred in the business in the late 90s early 2000s that saw many good friends of mine get cut down by the corporation have their business taken from them for little reason other than mussel flexing, and greed of the new family corporate leadership. For me , it was a very sad time, and something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy But yes, for most of the time we were involved I can tell you, we loved it.😂
The newest model for Amway is to have 60% or more of your of your business volume be from customers. Dave is right, not everyone succeeds because not everyone will do what is necessary to succeed. If you find it too hard, then don't do it, find something you can do. World Wide Group has principles that are a benefit beyond simply making a living as well. My cousins started an Amway Independent Business and then quit to start a gym. They were successful in the gym for years and sold it for a huge profit. Hopefully Independent Business Owners look to make new friends and keep old friends. There is nothing wrong with starting a business with low overhead and growing into the sales role gradually. it's a different kind of risk that can pay off if you can be consistent. It is not quick, nor easy.
I really enjoy listening to Dave but whenever it comes to MLMs he doesn't give a clear answer when I would assume he would just immediately say "no", and that "it's stupid", especially due to how conservative he is with his approach to money. I've noticed this with a couple other online gurus as well. I have a theory that maybe there's people high up in these schemes that are in the same social circle as Dave and the others I know of and it would be an issue to fully demonize these companies due to this. Again I REALLY enjoy Dave's advice but I notice a huge inconsistency when it comes to his advice regarding MLMs.
He literally said it’s not a bad choice if doing MLM will be a fit for what you actually want in life, he’s basically saying it’s up to the person because there’s nothing wrong with.
Top comment says: "Dave Ramsey wrote the forward for a book, The Legend of the Monk and the Merchant which was written by an Amway distributor who also part of World Wide Group."
A caller will ask Dave why credit cards are so bad, and he will reply with ‘My great-grand mother smoke and drank every day until she was 95 years old, but that doesn’t mean I can say cigarettes are ok.’ And then another caller will ask Dave if it’s ok to be in multilevel marketing, and he will reply ‘Only if you do it right and it fits your lifestyle.’ It is clear Dave has no integrity and is inconsistent in his beliefs on debt. If 99% of people misuse credit cards and 99% of people lose money in MLMs, then Dave should hold them in the same regard and not care about what his millionaire friends think about his advice.
Credit cards CAN be a great thing if you know how to use them. The cash rebates and rewards points can be significant. The trick, though, is to pay your statement balance IN FULL every month. I seldom use cash at all!
Everyone wants to dump on Amway. Amway is not the problem. People are the problem. Most people are too lazy and negative to succeed at anything regardless if it's Amway or anything else. Get around the right people and you can succeed at almost anything
Amway is not the problem. It is the cult like tactics used by Amway Motivational Organizations to sell you books, CD's, and conventions that are the problem. The high level pins make more money selling you this stuff, than they do from actually operating their Amway businesses!
@@Dman425 Amway itself is not the problem. It is the actions of some of the leaders of the Amway Motivational Organizations that use cult-like methods. Unfortunately, even though the Corporation itself is aware of the situation, they have aided and abbeted it for many decades!
@@Dman425 Yes, I have. I was in Amway back in 1971. In fact, I knew Bill Britt before he even got into Amway. Learned how the real money was made, as some of the high levels showed me. I like how he added being treated like an idiot for not joining. My wife went to an amway “fellowship” yesterday and she said Tracy literally said “if you don’t do this. You have to be an idiot”
Dave says “For you to treat me like an idiot because I won’t join your thing, is going to damage our relationship.” I totally agree with his perspective. But on the flip, for you to treat me like I’m an idiot because you don’t understand my thing and refuse to, and talk about it like you totally understand it when you’re completely ignorant about it, is going to damage our relationship.
I’ve told people I’m not interested after letting them explain and two people have just snapped and gotten aggressive! There is such a pressure to sell, and it can destroy people
No! I was in a mentorship program connected to Amway for a month and cut ties as soon as I could and got all my money back! If you join an MLM it goes against all frugal rules and you will blow through money purchasing the products yourself! Don't do it!
Dave obviously has a conflict of interest ("I have friends that do that...") many commenters have already pointed out that he seemed to have a hard time facing up to the fact that the data points don't point to good results with MLMs. I've always felt if a product was wonderful it wouldn't need to be pedaled that way. Go direct or sell traditionally!
Yes I just made a comment on this as well, it seems like maybe he has close friends involved? I've never understood why he doesn't speak out about them it goes against what I thought his philosophies were.
The funny thing is when they try to recruit you, they don’t tell you what the business model is. They just bait you until you attend one of their seminars. The short answer is No! I already knew something was fishy anyways
My wife and I just avoided recruitment. They used a lot of jargon to make it sound like you were helping people but it was just a network marketing organization
I received more help from the comment section than I did from Dave lol. Poor caller though. He wanted a cohesive answer that Should have been simplified to either a yes or a no. Rather than Dave’s “ if it fits your life style ,then sure why not ”. At the end of the day I’m thankful for the comment section and those who simplified It to one answer : NO.
jason gonzazlez the fact that you rely on RUclips comments for your opinions and information (which you think are facts) just shows that amway, in your current mindset, isn’t for you. Wanna be one of the masses ? Or do you want to think for yourself. Gotta think and do different things to live a different life !:)
You really didn't listen to Dave did you? He gave good commonsense and told guy what that job is what skill you need to do well in it. He was very honest. "Is it for you?" If it's not for you. You're not going to succeed in it.
Usually when asking for an advice, the adviser will never tell you what to do, is their duty to give the two sides, so the person can have a clear answer of their own, not based on what other ppl told them to do.
Dateline NBC and Chris Hansen investigation says Amway = scam. Dave, if the DATA says 99% of people don't make money at MLMs, I'd say that's a bit more than polarized. And you are always about the data, Dave.
MusicPhrase Has anyone from Dateline or Chris Hansen ever built the business before? Would you take advice from a tv repairman about how to get into politics?
On NBC's Dateline "Expose." NBC = Liberal organization. Like MSNBC, Liberals have socialist tendencies and have an agenda against Capitalism, and those spreading capitalism. NBC is also vested in high stakes competitors of Amway such as Proctor & Gamble, S.C.Johnson Wax, and Colgate Palmolive to name just a few. These are advertisers on NBC Daytime Soap Operas etc., and competitors of Amway's home product lines. Amway has done over 10 Billion in annual sales in the recent past. These figures bite into these players profits. There are lots of reasons that NBC would have bias against Amway. Even the people they interviewed in Dateline were Berkeley Graduates (more liberal activists with anti capitalism agendas) In short there is a battlefield for the minds of the people in America. Amway is a company that uses it's resources to give people opportunity to put into action the free enterprise system and become part of the money making side of the economy, not just the consumer side. This enables ordinary people to employ their marketing skills and create income with no limit. The traditional market only allows people to purchase their products and they keep the profits. Amway SHARES profits with people that they partner with. It's like Rakuten on steroids because you don't just make money on your personal purchases, you can promote and share the opportunity and make money based on the network you can build through other people that join your network, not just your personal consumption. This is empowering and very much like creating mini franchises that also allows others that get in, the EXACT same opportunity to do it for themselves as well. They just have to do the work for themselves just like everyone else.
Actually you done the best choice. They told you that because they saw you as a money 💲 . This clowns will get triggered when people don't want to join their company .
how anyone still joins MLMs is beyond me. I laugh at my 19 year old self all the time for even trying it out. Just think to yourself, what if everyone in the world joins? It cannot sustain for it will fall apart.
Most people aren't good at math and figure out that there aren't enough people in the world to make it work. When I was 18 I some friends tried to get me into Amway. Lucky for me my older brother had taken me to other MLM conferences and I already knew what the scam looked like. All of the MLM companies have the same sales pitch, the same lingo, the conferences look the same and the same script. We started calling it Scamway and making fun of my friend. This infuriated my friend and he tried to prove us wrong. Well a year later after losing money with Scamway he quit and told me I was right.
I have been approached several times over the years of people trying to recruit me into Amway. The commonality for each occurrence is the person did not tell me it was Amway in the beginning and later got angry when I kept saying "NO". When I tell them I do not want to be a salesman they insist that being a salesman is NOT what it is all about. B.S.
Several comments about selling Amway ... I never heard that the Amway company is for sale. The only thing that people do is buy a franchise from them . If that company is a pyramid scheme, WHY it has its own NBA team? WHY one of the CEOs has been president of the Chamber of Commerce of the United States of America? WHY It has Partners Stores like Nike, Apple, Bank of America, Best Buy, Microsoft, Macy’s, Disney, Foot Locker, Home depot, and many more. If associating with the Amway company was a scam It would not have survived the time it has in the world in more than 180 countries and some very strict countries such as China, Germany. Amway was founded in 1959 and I am quite sure that the FBI would not have allowed it to continue its operations if it were a pyramid scheme. The companies mentioned above never but never had commercial relations with Amway if it were a Scam and Elisabeth Dee DeVos (Betsy DeVos) never had a position in the government as the current United States Secretary of Education since 2017. Her husband is Richard Marvin DeVos Jr. is an American entrepreneur, businessman and author. The son of Amway co-founder Richard DeVos.
You have to have a good mentor for these types of things to work that’s for sure. If someone approaches you about it I would always ask them why they are doing it and check for a genuine anwser
Told my cousin I just started the Dave Ramsey plan. He said, "I used to like Dave until I heard him talk about multilevel marketing." This hurt his reputation. Dave should've called Amway out for what it is-Stupid piled on top of stupid all the way up the pyramid.
Any MLM business is a scam (or rides on the line of being one) I grew up and live very close to the Amway headquarters. It benefits my area and state, but at the expense of taking advantage of the "little guy" looking to get rich quick selling products you can get at most any store.
Lex & Cinnabon we understand your upset cause you don’t have it takes to build your very own business sir. Scams are illegal in the USA and the BBB controls that. But maybe you know something that the BBB might have missed about MLM’s. You can make an appointment right away and consult the BBB with your classified information and hopefully if your smart enough they’ll listen to you...LOL🤣
Usually Dave gives better advice! (I imagine he doesn't want to offend his friends making money from one of these schemes.) If over 90% of people are LOSING money in a particular business model, it is NOT a good financial choice. You would be better off flipping burgers at McDonald's.
I was really surprised how he presented it as an actual potential opportunity instead of what it is--a pyramid scheme. Hes just dancing around with language instead of being straightforward
Well said. It’s is true it’s not for everyone and there is negative and positive things, pro and cons to every business, and it really all comes down to is for you to do what you enjoy.
@@dillonkummer949 Ramsey doesn't know what he's talking about when it comes to Amway and other MLM scams. The Amway corporation and upper level IBOs are bad.
“People are sold the dream” “very driven because of a HIGH turnover rate” “people join for the money” all reasons why it’s a bad idea for most people. There’s a high turnover rate because people are recruited with the idea they’re gonna ‘secure’ their financial future. And then they throw a bunch of money at it because the cult behavior makes people feel like they HAVE to. Then you’re left feeling stupid for believing in any of it. I’m ‘deprogramming’ from MLM currently and it’s been rough.
Somethings fishy here. The evidence is irrefutable that 98% of people never make money in MLMs, and they also prey on the financially strapped, like his listeners. Why wouldn’t he react as strongly against them as say, whole life insurance.
Here's what I would say: Look for success stories of people who worked in Amway for over a decade and maybe retired early, had something tangible to show for it like a strong base of wealth and no debt, then compare that to the number of reviews of people who joined Amway, worked hard, and felt cheated in some way based on the high prospects and low turnout. The ratio should speak volumes. Yes, it takes a certain type of person and MLM isn't altogether a bad concept, but don't be so overly confident in yourself like you won't be in the majority of that ratio of people who just didn't think it was anywhere near worth it.
Samuel Carter best comment so far, this reasoning stopped me from spending cash I don’t have to start an IBO that I don’t have time to work on that might have or mightn’t have been successful. Avg. monthly salary is like $60. speaks volumes.
Hannah Sawyer But you have plenty of time to work 8-10 hours a day and watch endless hours of tv, I bet. And the average monthly income (IBO’s don’t make a salary, it isn’t a job) is $207. So, just don’t be average, it’s pretty simple.
Hannah Sawyer Have you ever wondered why though? It’s not because they CAN’T, it’s because they treat it like a gym membership. Choose to be one of the ones who do make money. It’s that simple. The compensation plan works the same for everyone.
This isn’t the first video where Dave has given a neutral stance on MLMs. A GOOD financial advisor would tell you to avoid any MLM nonsense. This should be enough to make you unsubscribe
Hey people so that we are all on the same page. FYI MLM companies include Amway, Avon, Mary Kay, Tupperware etc. There are many good people in them and a few bad seeds. Pyramid Schemes are a different thing all together. MLM are not for me and maybe not for you but there is nothing wrong with them.
Key takeaways that most commentators have ignored: Dave has friends who are legitimately millionaires and have become so through network marketing or the network marketing industry. Dave recognizes that companies like Amway are not pyramid schemes. But noted that they are not comparable to traditional businesses either. To be successful in network marketing requires a skillset in sales, sales management, motivating others, marketing and promotion, and treating people with dignity and respect.
No truly successful Amway higher up got to the top by treating people with dignity and respect. Just the opposite. Their very success is predicated on people working like slaves. I can agree with the rest of your points though.
To be successful in network marketing requires RECRUITING SKILLS and successful retention of recruits requires deceptions and even brainwashing.... Belittlement of recruits when they fail in a system where failure is THEIR DESTINY is then required... "You don't work hard enough" "You have a broke mindset" ETC ...
hilarious comment, jray. It's like the vitamin selling schemes - you have to get enough people below you who buy stock and then just end up consuming it or giving it away because they can't sell it. If they had products worth selling, they'd just sell them direct to customers. people need to ask why they have to sell the products rather than the company just dumping them on amazon to be processed efficiently at a very low cost.
I used to be part of AMway went to multiple conferences but realized once they told me not to pay my student loan and invest in the business was crazy. They brought a spreadsheet with my bills and loans and what I can give up to grow my business and theirs also. The moment I gave up when they told me to move back with parents and give up my place since it cost me $1500 that I could use for growing up my business.
I know people that are very successful in mlms and the trick from what I know is it you keep working at it and listen to what successful people in the businesses say to do then you will be very good but if you quit then obviously nothing is going to happen. The only people that way it's a scam are people that quit or didn t have a sponsor that knew what they were talking about. It's just like any business if you work hard at it and educate yourself and put the work in consistently it will work
🤦♀️ It's a lie. Have them show you their tax returns and statements since they've been in the business and see how much they spend in comparison to how much they bring in. You can work the business for years and do all the right things, and still never come out on top and then they blame YOU if you're not successful. Do the math. It's a horrible way "to-do business."
In Amway there is the "true believer" who is just starting their business and can't say anything bad and will defend it to the death, and the person who's been in it for a few years and regret all the money they lost. While it's not technically a pyramid scheme, it is in actuallity because 75% will not make a dime and only 1% will make enough to do it full time.
I am watching this video after I got disappointed at this person whom I thought I had a nice start of a mutual friendship, but ended up tried to sell me products.
People are ALWAYS looking for the easy way out. There’s nothing easy about Amway until you understand how to be fearless in dealing with people and of course representing yourself and what the como has to offer people.
@@cheesybeast1721 Buying “personal volume” and “self-development” books, courses, and seminars every month. “Coaches” who advise you to keep “investing” in the business, travel to “night owl” meetings and conferences, and pare down your finances to not even be able to afford health care. An upline that tells you to buy protein bars and shakes to eat for your food intake so that you’re shopping “your own store.” Sometimes people are so pressured to recruit and rank up that they will pay people to join their team, or buy extra PV in order to rank up or stayed ranked up. MLM’s will say they don’t do a lot of these things, but that is not necessarily what is happening behind the scenes. That is what I have seen in my own personal observations and experiences with three friends in this particular company. I encourage you to do your own research.
@@linzzz519 this IS my doing my own research lol thanks for explaining it because my recruiter told me it was my own business so I didn’t have to meet any requirements for pv since everything is up to me. Although they did have a optional $35 per month subscription for LTD.
True story. I am making money from my job and it is NOT any kind of mlm. Plus, I get paid sick time, paid vacation and medical/dental/vision coverage. Can your mlm do that?
Thank you for telling it to me straight. I was recruited by a girl who seems really nice, and she directed me to another guy who just seems like a really nice down to earth guy. I had one get to know you meeting, was asked to read a book called "Who moved my cheese?" which is a really good book, by the way, and then I went to this Zoom seminar where this guy who is also really nice and down to earth gave a vague explanation for how it works. And it wasn't until now that I heard the names Amway or World Wide Group. When I asked if it was multilevel marketing though he didn't say it was, and said it was network marketing, so he made it sound like it was something completely different. All along the process people have been very vague and when I asked for a simple explanation of the business model, they said "If I could explain it to you briefly I would". But then they proceed to say it's really simple. Yet they leave out so much information. It seems misleading. The recruiters are vague. I'm seeing red flags. I think some really good people do this but I definitely don't think it's for me...
I wasn't sure about this because the moment they started to tell me points and the money that I needed to launch, I started to get hesitate. I just started to work on a fellowship that's not going to give a paycheck for me that pays alot. 🙃
@@dillonkummer949 Really, and why is that? Because they're so honest? Because they provide such legitimate, successful careers for people who are bad at math?
Network marketing depends on your social situation, who you know or who knows you , skills , discipline, time , dedication , effort , learning , teaching , showing , telling , explaining products , speaking publicly , retailing , recruiting , sponsoring , attending seminars , having to make presentations , performing great at every step , do it back and forth, for years , focusing to final success , is it easy or hard ??
Look in to stocks or real state or start your own small business and see the time and money it takes to become successful, mlm it’s just another way to build something for yourself but taking advantage of the future using e-commerce. Most people will always have a job mentality so never go in to business thinking like a employee. The mindset of the person makes a big difference. So don’t expect to the same thing you do at your job thinking you will succeed in any business.
My mom does Amway for a living and she makes ALOT of money. You don’t join amway to get quick money. The people who do it long term make it a lifestyle. It hurts me so much that people will listen to all the “no” in the comments and miss this opportunity. They just haven’t met the right people and was quick to judge. If you have time and want to have a prosperous future like me, message me and I can give you all the information you need. I’m not here to waste your time but I’m willing to give you my time so we can both prosper and build the future we want to live. Right hand to god we can make it work with effort and time. You make anything work with effort and time and if you feel that you want to build relationships and live a healthier lifestyle to influence others to join you send me a message and let’s get you starts :).
Kevin Patel it’s literally not, it’s like building your own business without an actually physical store. You network and find workers to help sell products and you also find your own customer like any other business... your just lazy. You don’t want to put in the work.
So I am an amway associate. I know this exact cult like behaviour that people can really give off. I just gotta say.. if you learn how to use a mlm system efficiently and practically with a great product you have to make sure you have a great support upline or like Dave said you gotta be a great recruiter and motivator. I am fortunate enough to have support and a team that actually works away from that cult like attitude and model that is stereotyped. So i would say dont be shy to learn about the system but be wary whom you decide to "line" with.
Oh please you all Amway clowns are running a circus 🎪The weird dancing shaking butts and clapping three times screaming Amway before you eat. I mean seriously 😳 is that the madness you got to do all because your upline and platinum told you to do so.
I think amway does more harm than good. sure a very very small amount of people may make it to that top level and make livable money, but for the most part I think it just damages relationships and isolates the people selling amway from their friends who dont want to sell it. Its sold as a dream and that anyone and everyone could and should do it when it's truly not. When you ask a friend to see you in a week because you're going through a terrible time and need to see a friend. And they cancel an hour before because they suddenly need to go to an amway interview it shows that they value the idea of making money over your friendship.
WOW so where did you do your research on this? What attracted ME to the business was the best relationships I have seen anywhere. Between married couples..parents mentoring next generation business owners.. between brothers and sisters.. (and yeah the money is great). "Amway" never did ANY "harm". Every nutrition product is sustainably sourced and every product is 100 percent money back guaranteed for 180 days.
MLM recruiters always emphasise on the money, financial freedom. But I'm with the host 100% that you have to know if this is the career path you want. A career is more meaningful for your life than just money.
The not being able to make money without customers, or “not” getting paid off recruits are both big misconceptions. You in a way do make money off recruits and not really off customer base sells. Actually most of the money you make will come from business partners if not all of it. Amway doesn’t really focus on customers like you’re a seller, and you’ll know what I mean if you’ve ever been an IBO. they talk about “talking to people” the most. Because that’s where you make the money. Getting people into partnership and having them “buy from themselves”. Most IBOS don’t have customers and just make money off their downline. Their downline are technically their “customers” bc they’re making a purchase of atleast 500 dollars a month and having around 6 recruits do it. Then they have those 6 people get 6 people. That’s how the money is made not through true customers usually but through people recruited into the business. 🙂
So yes ur technically paid off recruits but only if they’re purchasing lol. You get a portion of their buying money and don’t let Amway fool u they too will make big profits off u because if you have no recruits and are doing your ditto that’s abt 500 dollars a month you’re practically handing to them. You must have other people your recruited putting in atleast a ditto of 500 in order to make money. This is not a business lol and these people know nothing about business or running a business. They just recruit people and “try” to get customers. If u had them in front of a room of true business owners they would know nothing abt business
In before the usual mlm npc responses: "Not a pyramid scheme because muh physical product!" "The structure of the company you work for is shaped like a pyramid tooo!" "I know a guy who knows a guy who knew a guy who made SIX FIGURES!"
Dave probably has friends that do Southwestern Advantage which is also located in Nashville. It’s a legit business with an A+ rating with the BBB. Dave is spot on - they’re not for everyone and you have to really be a motivated, driven person who enjoys sales, managing and motivating salespersons, and recruiting. And the product has to be something you believe in.
@@dillonkummer949 it works for about 0.4% of people who do it. studies show that 99.6% of people who do MLM fail. so it does work for some people. but I don't like those odds. much easier to make money doing other things.
@@dillonkummer949 it's well documented. check out Robert Fitzpatrick's work, over 99% of people lose money in MLMs. that's just reality. I hate to break the news to you. you have better odds at winning at Roulette than making money in MLMs. the only people in MLMs that make money are at the top of the pyramid. MLMs are pyramid schemes in which a product is used to suggest legitimacy. However the suckers in the scheme are the ones buying most of the product. I'm not ignorant on this issue. I know many people who have been duped by these schemes. and the odds are stacked overwhelmingly against you. at least if you fail at youtube, you don't have to waste money buying BS oils or vitamins every month.
Mlm means running to your friends, convincing your family members and asking everybody you encountered about the opportunity. Unfortunately that is the old way of doing MLM. Now with internet, text, social media, etc... doing Mlm is no longer the same. So if you are one of those people that think MLM is chasing your friends and family, you need to be updated. I just recently had several one on one meetings with my recruiter, talking about dreams and books to read, like 12 pillars of success. I finally went to one of their suit and tie meetings and didn’t learn about Amway or the selling of products until I was over an hour into their presentation. I felt so manipulated. The second I saw “starter pack $115-$200” I put my pen down and stopped taking notes. I thought I joined a group teaching people how to follow their dreams and start their own business. I thought I was around business owners with unique ideas and companies. Nope. Just a bunch of people selling products for Amway. Sure, you can make a lot of money. But I hate sales, so it wasn’t for me, plus I hated how manipulative they were. I wasn’t scared, or too lazy to put in some work, but they will make you feel like a waste of oxygen if you don’t join. I ready to put in some work and learn, but it felt too shady.
I lost thousands of dollars I'm Amway cause they sell yu the dream I'm not lying they are good talk Yu out of you not leaving the business mean while Yu are spending money so they are making money off of you
Being in the business of making money based on how many people you recruit to recruit others and so on, is a pyramid scheme. Let’s not mince words. If the big income can’t be made off the product(s) without recruiting others, it’s a pyramid scheme. I struggle with the fact that Dave doesn’t condemn them with 99+% of people who join MLMs lose money.
Every Amway person I've met, never answers questions, they just circle around it using vague language with big words, and it takes forever for them to say the company name
They are taught to answer a question with a question.
I am Amway person. May I answer your questions, Midnight Animal?
Like Dave has said before, if they pitch you more on joining the company more than the actual product, then you should NOT join!
Really, What would Robert Kiyosaki say about that? NO concept of the concept.

whysoblutube I don’t think the Amway company is for sale.
Yeahhh but it only takes a bit for that initial foundation/infatuation with the notion of retiring early to stop someone from committing to it
The inherent problem with any MLM group is that the focus is always on recruiting people.
Unless the people under you are also buying the overpriced product for their own consumption.
In Amway it is done by getting people to sign up for “ditto” delivery every month. The distributors are their own beat costumer as they stockpile inventory.
Because its a pyramid scheme
It’s the same thing people do at work, they sell a product , a service and worse they sell their time hourly at a lower cost.
uhmm you are NOt all.owed to sponsor anyone until you have customer sales first
Here's the problem. If you have a product that is good enough to sell on its own why do you need other people to sell it for you? You don't see Walmart asking other people to sell their products do you?
Bingo!!!!
Well they do open up hundreds of stores which sort of like bringing new people into the business. Franchising is similar in concept to MLM. Sam Walton could never have made a fortune in the orginal store standing at a cash register checking people out. MLM is similar to franchising but different.
Walmart’s online site is much like Amazon, where third party sellers handle a large majority of the sales.
Walmart doesn't pay you for using products. Even if you're not selling products, just consuming, you get a percentage back.

They were way too aggressive and pushy
The experience was unsatisfying.
You're right, the business requires them to have those traits, but they end up losing more than they gain.

Listen to more audios !!!
I think this is 100% right. The DeVos family is massively powreful. One of those folks surely pulls Dave's strings somewhere up the chain.

Just make sure the respect is Reciprocated.
What is more risky debt or joining an MLM? I wonder why he equivocated so much with this? Dave is such a strong advocate of winning with money and MLMs are a loosing proposition for 98% of those recruited.
MLM key word (solid product), why dont you buy something that gives you money, instead of just letting it be an expense.
Yes because 98% of people are losers
The Lead Quote Personally, putting your life and your future in the hands of someone else, building their dream, that’s just stupid. I’d much rather roll the dice with an Amway business than have a job. At least I can control the results in Amway.

Unethical?? How so? Id love to hear your answer.
MLM is the most ethical business model why because the people that sell the product are actual users of the products. How are you going to sell somthing you dont even use ? That's is unethical. Would like to hear your explanation
Jorge Marquez it’s unethical because it almost always requires you to exploit your friendships for profit. It tends to provide false hope to working class people with poor financial intelligence (because of bad schooling) because the profit isn’t even very much for 99% of them
@@andrew2388 there is TONS of people with great education who still choose the American success story
@@jorgemarquez1767 To start, it requires you to exploit your personal relationships to succeed. Be it family, friends, or fellow church-goers. For me , it was a very sad time, and something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy
But yes, for most of the time we were involved I can tell you, we loved it.😂
Can you elaborate on what happened in the 90’s and 2000’s?
What happened please?
1st hand experience....no. Run away!!!!
That is your experience. Others make a lot of money! So, join the professionals and not the losers!
K my exact thoughts!
I’m sure he also doesn’t want to get sued for defamation. He has to be careful in his position.
A caller will ask Dave why credit cards are so bad, and he will reply with ‘My great-grand mother smoke and drank every day until she was 95 years old, but that doesn’t mean I can say cigarettes are ok.’
And then another caller will ask Dave if it’s ok to be in multilevel marketing, and he will reply ‘Only if you do it right and it fits your lifestyle.’
It is clear Dave has no integrity and is inconsistent in his beliefs on debt.
If 99% of people misuse credit cards and 99% of people lose money in MLMs, then Dave should hold them in the same regard and not care about what his millionaire friends think about his advice.
He maybe inconsistent on this issue but he does have integrity. He stated, that for most people MLM is a crummy part time job.
in business the loss is an expense, cc it is a loss
Credit cards CAN be a great thing if you know how to use them. The cash rebates and rewards points can be significant. The trick, though, is to pay your statement balance IN FULL every month. I seldom use cash at all!
Everyone wants to dump on Amway. Amway is not the problem. People are the problem. Most people are too lazy and negative to succeed at anything regardless if it's Amway or anything else. Get around the right people and you can succeed at almost anything
John Dyer I hear ya..
Amway is not the problem. It is the cult like tactics used by Amway Motivational Organizations to sell you books, CD's, and conventions that are the problem. The high level pins make more money selling you this stuff, than they do from actually operating their Amway businesses!
You obviously have never been in this cult before
@@Dman425 Amway itself is not the problem. It is the actions of some of the leaders of the Amway Motivational Organizations that use cult-like methods. Unfortunately, even though the Corporation itself is aware of the situation, they have aided and abbeted it for many decades!

Hi
Dave obviously has a conflict of interest ("I have friends that do that...") many commenters have already pointed out that he seemed to have a hard time facing up to the fact that the data points don't point to good results with MLMs. I've always felt if a product was wonderful it wouldn't need to be pedaled that way. Go direct or sell traditionally!
Yes I just made a comment on this as well, it seems like maybe he has close friends involved? I've never understood why he doesn't speak out about them it goes against what I thought his philosophies were.
Amway is direct selling
Data points to no good results but do his friends get good results? It sounds like his friends are good at Recruiting which is how the money is made
The funny thing is when they try to recruit you, they don’t tell you what the business model is. They just bait you until you attend one of their seminars. The short answer is No! I already knew something was fishy anyways

Dave's body language and facial expressions says it all.

I wish people would be upfront about it.
Never say no. Instead say, "sure man" to everything the Amway recruiter says. Drives them crazy.
I had someone come to me when they changed their name, I kept saying it sounds like Amway, they kept insisting it wasn't. It was Amway.
Several comments about selling Amway ... I never heard that the Amway company is for sale.
The only thing that people do is buy a franchise from them .
If that company is a pyramid scheme,
WHY it has its own NBA team?
WHY one of the CEOs has been president of the Chamber of Commerce of the United States of America?
WHY It has Partners Stores like Nike, Apple, Bank of America, Best Buy, Microsoft, Macy’s, Disney, Foot Locker, Home depot, and many more. If associating with the Amway company was a scam It would not have survived the time it has in the world in more than 180 countries and some very strict countries such as China, Germany.
Amway was founded in 1959 and I am quite sure that the FBI would not have allowed it to continue its operations if it were a pyramid scheme.
The companies mentioned above never but never had commercial relations with Amway if it were a Scam

The majority of people don’t make money in Amway. Amway makes money by all the “business owners” buying there stuff.
well i make money from customers only have no team p
Rick Grimes I believe something like 1/10 of a percent of people who join amway make real money
Hannah Sawyer Have you ever wondered why though? It’s not because they CAN’T, it’s because they treat it like a gym membership. Choose to be one of the ones who do make money. It’s that simple. The compensation plan works the same for everyone.

Phenomenal response of truth!
Key takeaways that most commentators have ignored:
Dave has friends who are legitimately millionaires and have become so through network marketing or the network marketing industry.
Dave recognizes that companies like Amway are not pyramid schemes. But noted that they are not comparable to traditional businesses either.
To be successful in network marketing requires a skillset in sales, sales management, motivating others, marketing and promotion, and treating people with dignity and respect.
Amway IS a pyramid scheme...... Full stop.... All Multi Level Marketing is .....
You are full of it
hilarious comment, jray.
Very unbiased answer. Thank you very much. I agree with everything you said 100%
Dave's body language says...let me not say the truth on this one...

It's baffling to me that Dave is so firm about not being stupid with money, yet he has no backbone when it comes to condemning MLMs
@@dillonkummer949 Really, and why is that? Because they're so honest? Because they provide such legitimate, successful careers for people who are bad at math?

Look in to stocks or real state or start your own small business and see the time and money it takes to become successful, mlm it’s just another way to build something for yourself but taking advantage of the future using e-commerce. Most people will always have a job mentality so never go in to business thinking like a employee. The mindset of the person makes a big difference. So don’t expect to the same thing you do at your job thinking you will succeed in any business.
Has anyone ever actually won anything from Publishers Clearing House? 🤔
Show me your bank statements.
SiouxShoney19 xx what will that prove?
Nah. Amway is a scam.
Kevin Patel it’s literally not, it’s like building your own business without an actually physical store. You network and find workers to help sell products and you also find your own customer like any other business... your just lazy. You don’t want to put in the work.
That's a good point. One one side there's deca millionaires. On the other side, there's people who feel devastated. It's also not easy at all.
Are you still selling Amway?
@@OnlyJalenPhd bet not lols
Oh please you all Amway clowns are running a circus 🎪The weird dancing shaking butts and clapping three times screaming Amway before you eat. I mean seriously 😳 is that the madness you got to do all because your upline and platinum told you to do so.
Amway sucks.
I’m interested in knowing if you’re currently still with Amway?
I think amway does more harm than good. sure a very very small amount of people may make it to that top level and make livable money, but for the most part I think it just damages relationships and isolates the people selling amway from their friends who dont want to sell it. Its sold as a dream and that anyone and everyone could and should do it when it's truly not. When you ask a friend to see you in a week because you're going through a terrible time and need to see a friend. And they cancel an hour before because they suddenly need to go to an amway interview it shows that they value the idea of making money over your friendship.
That says more about what kind of friend you have... not Amway.
no
WOW so where did you do your research on this? What attracted ME to the business was the best relationships I have seen anywhere. Between married couples..parents mentoring next generation business owners.. between brothers and sisters.. (and yeah the money is great).
"Amway" never did ANY "harm". Every nutrition product is sustainably sourced and every product is 100 percent money back guaranteed for 180 days.
@@malachysmith4319 Something an Amway representative would say
@@josiebiddle9886 There is no "Amway representative". I do not represent the company. I own my own BUSINESS.
Bingo
Dave this was so good. Thank you for the clarity.
What a great show. Everything he said is true in my experience including the good and the bad.
Pyramid scheme.
Yes
In before the usual mlm npc responses:
"Not a pyramid scheme because muh physical product!"
"The structure of the company you work for is shaped like a pyramid tooo!"
"I know a guy who knows a guy who knew a guy who made SIX FIGURES!"
Prove it
Mark Cuban call them "Wantrepreneurs"..😂
mrt094 Pyramid scheme? You mean a job?
Dave probably has friends that do Southwestern Advantage which is also located in Nashville. It’s a legit business with an A+ rating with the BBB. Dave is spot on - they’re not for everyone and you have to really be a motivated, driven person who enjoys sales, managing and motivating salespersons, and recruiting. And the product has to be something you believe in.
mle011. I have never had a good experience with anyone who was involved in it.
Like Dave said, its polarizing. You either love it or you hate it.
If your friend is trying to get you into an MLM, chances are they aren't your actual friend.
Dave has great common sense and is very adept at sniffing out BS. Therefore I can't understand how he doesn't come down on these scams.
Because he has basic Econ 101
@@dillonkummer949 it works for about 0.4% of people who do it. studies show that 99.6% of people who do MLM fail. so it does work for some people. but I don't like those odds. much easier to make money doing other things.
Dillon Kummer There’s no possible way Amway can be used negatively. People have been kicked out for that before.
@@dillonkummer949 Good luck with that.
Get on with the times.
So it’s worse
Meeting with people from Amway was one of the most disgusting pathetic experiences of my life.
Why?
Respect for Dave after this. He looks at both sides of the story. Going into this I thought Mom schemes are stupid but Dave showed that it is just another marketing technique. Much respect for opening my eyes
They are absolutely stupid and Dave is grifting for whatever reason
@@northwestclasspnw7974 he's not exactly beating their drum but he's playing both sides of the fence a little, because a lot of people who share his social values system are big mlm people.
I lost thousands of dollars I'm Amway cause they sell yu the dream I'm not lying they are good talk Yu out of you not leaving the business mean while Yu are spending money so they are making money off of you
Amway is about customer relations. If you lost thousands of dollars, you must’ve not been very good at building them
It’s not a scam guys, I’m 19 and I do it. You just have to be patient have have the right mindset. I been doing this for a year now
Nice. You are close to retirement l!
Are you retired yet?
hey how is it going business wise ?
Being in the business of making money based on how many people you recruit to recruit others and so on, is a pyramid scheme. Let’s not mince words. If the big income can’t be made off the product(s) without recruiting others, it’s a pyramid scheme. I struggle with the fact that Dave doesn’t condemn them with 99+% of people who join MLMs lose money.
