      Article ain't wrong
Problem is people like Shams and Adrian were never real journalists
They kiss(ed) ass for access and real sports journalism died long ago for it.
Same damn reason nobody in the media ever had the balls to call out Darvin Ham for being crap even though the dumbest fans could see it
All these athletes are entitled bitches today so about out to the journalist for actually having the balls to call him out

That article was way out of line!!!! If that is how Phily really feels about Embiid and Embiid is unhappy in Phily, I'm sure there are plenty of other teams interested! You shouldn't put hands on others, but there are also lines you dont cross, and that article crossed them!

  • @dru55the1egend
    @dru55the1egend 2 дня назад +7

The article is in poor taste and very poorly written. Too many journalists nowadays are unable to report in unbiased terms, their articles always trying to sell their own agenda. It's a terrible two paragraphs that should have been re-written before publishing.
That being said, Embiid is in the wrong as well for laying his hands on the journalist. Even though I understand why he got upset; athletes are human too and will have human reactions, especially when strangers write articles referencing their family (one of whom is deceased) and criticizing them in the same vein. These are mitigating factors in my eyes, but still do not excuse Embiid for his actions.
    They both crossed the line.

@ such a child to write a comment and still be ignorant. Joel had it in his mind to engage with that reporter because of an article, not the game. He would have found him in a different space and it would have went the exact same way. You can't prove it wouldn't have can you? No i can say the context of why he was mad would have traveled. Your point of LoCkEr RoOm and the reason for the disagreement aren't the same and it makes you look really stupid. Oh man the locker room enraged Joel so much that's why he pushed him. Your points dont line up and you are an idiot. Keep replying and showing the world just how low the IQ goes. There are other spaces he would have crossed paths with that reporter, in a hall, before or after the game, at practice when reporters are watching.

I think if Ebide was this upset with a reporter, his action should've been to go to his front office and request the reporter's credentials with the team be revoked. He could, as petty as it might seem, go so far as tell the 76ers it's a him or me situation by stating he would want a trade if the reporter showed in the locker room again. Trevor, you are right that violence is not the answer, and this reporter was out of line in invoking Ebide's family in a hit piece. I'm honestly surprised the team allowed the reporter in their locker room after such an article.

If Pompey saw it as a punch, I'm assuming it was a very hard push.
Embiid hosted a block party in Philly a month ago in his brother's memory. It was covered by ESPN and he was quoted saying something similar to what the reporter said recently.
I don't think Embiid was truly mad about the son/brother comment. It was what was said after that got to him. It seems to me he's using the son/brother part to have some cover for what he did.

"Remember what you said about doing it for them... Well, put in the work and get it done!". Reality check about where he is in living up to HIS words, maybe; but unquestionably nothing negative was said about his family. Absolutely, no justification for assault!

While you should never assault someone unless you are in fear of getting physically harmed, especially if you are 7 ft tall and 280 lbs, there were no details of what was said at the time between Embiid and the reporter. If the reporter really got stupid and was rude or antagonized Embiid there might be some justification for the actions. Also any witnesses accounts, "he shoved him" can have a lot of degrees of harshness. Embiid is so big, just placing his hand on the guy's chest and saying you are being rude get out of my face I don't want to talk to you can be exaggerated into an assault charge. There just wasn't much details on what happened in the locker room. Also Embiid has had years of experience of being a celebrity and being criticized and he is not stupid. @@KClouisville he did, he said if embiid wants to honor them he needs to start by playing. It was extremely disrespectful, and what embiid did was extremely mild. This will rightfully destroy hayses career and force him to move out of Philly.
Just because where you're from is so soft doesn't mean everywhere is. Words have ramifications. If you say that to most ppl I'm Philly, you're getting hit expeditiously.

I’m with Embiid however he shouldn’t have put his hands on him even if it was just a push.

You are a fool if you agree with Embiid… Assault a middle-aged reporter when you not even playing is sooooo stupid. You are worth over half a billion dollars. This ain’t worth it. Philly season OVER!!!

Yeah I think there are a few ways you can quote unquote agree. I don't think anyone truly believes that it's okay for him to have done what he did.

@@TheBasketballBulletin we live in a TikTok age… who even reads articles? C’mon Embiid. You cost your team and your city the season. Be more mature.

Nah, you're a fool if you think you can invoke the memory of a dead loved one to criticize someone and think shit will be sweet afterwards. Actions and words have consequences. All these keyboard tough guys fail to realize this 🤷🏿‍♂️

Pompei committed career suicide. No player will speak to him with sincerity nor will he ever get a meaningful quote from players again.
Pack it up and cover the Phillies or the Eagles and hope they don’t view you as a snake.
