The NBA charges too much to watch the games at home, excessive 3-point shooting is boring, and star ⭐️ players don’t play and are always injured. It’s also annoying that the commissioner prefers to promote non-American players than home grown talent

I think the Lebron point had it right; simply the league has too many streaming options; and you have to pay for at a high price. For example to watch the lakers (arguably the most watched team), you have to get spectrum sports net in my area at 150$ a year or $20 a month. League pass doesn't cover all the games either. With today's prices so expenses and If I am on travel; an illegal stream is actually easier to watch the game. So yes, price and blackouts... NBA is actually hard to watch every game if you really want to watch every game. They need to simplify the options, broaden it to watch everywhere and go down on the price.

  • @heyYo31
    @heyYo31 9 часов назад +11

NBA league pass blows & is minutes behind real-time. For leagues who promote gambling it’s unacceptable. Nothing happens to you for streaming, you’re just real time & not app delayed by multiple plays, downs, etc.

When I lived overseas in Asia, league pass was great because I could watch literally every single game. Now I live in Canada and every game is blacked out. What’s worse is Raptors games are split between 2 different sports networks, so even if I am willing to bite the bullet and get cable service, I need to subscribe to two different channels! It’s just infuriating!

  • @bbonds7849

Let's see...there's zero hustle of any kind; no one plays any defense; guys just walk the ball up the court; everyone camps out at the 3-point line; everyone just jacks up 3s; there's no ball movement; refs go out of there way to give the Lakers a +25 free throw advantage on average; LeBron and other players load manage and barely play; LeBron James is a clown, and the league continues to push him like he's something special; LeBron's son has made the NBA a circus show as the 55th pick with a guaranteed contract. Did I miss anything?

Analytics messed up the entertainment of the game. Analytics say to only shoot 3's & layups. That might be more efficient, but it's boring to watch. The 80's, 90's, 00's and early 10's were much more dynamic. Players shot 3's, mid-range, layups, played in the post, and some isolation game. Different players played different ways back then. Now most of the players play alike for the most part. Just shoot 3's or drive and kick. It's boring to watch.

Too much 3’s. No physicality anymore, lots of one on one basketball.. just a lot of different styles of play are gone like in the past. Used to have triangle offense, used to have big men that were cumbersome and not just pogo sticks with 3’s, Too much players sitting out, missing games, no more killer crossovers, everybody boxed in to one type of system to run. The loss of posting up, load management of course. Man it’s just too bottled up now

It’s definitely largely part of the blackout rules. I live in the Suns Market and just don’t bother to watch a lot of those games even though I’d like to because of the rules and the costs to get access. I can pay for nba tv and not even have access to games they are showing which makes no sense. ESPN is another provider and they don’t have an easy, affordable option either. TNT at least now shows on Max but didn’t use to. So it’s a combination of the stupid rules and the primary stations do not make it easy or affordable.

The quality of gameplay as a whole has ruined the NBA. The lack of defense, the high focus on 3 point shooting, and the poor officiating makes the majority of games unwatchable. The constant complaining to referees after almost every play and the all unnecessary showboating turned the NBA into a glorified street ball game lacking any kind of professionalism because they would rather focus playing one on one basketball and not team basketball.

Valid points on the reasons why NBA viewership is down now but will most likely pick up as the season moves along. The bigger concern is how the NBA could be dying in the years ahead due to must watch talent. At least this is what the 2024 Paris Olympics told us. Was ready to see the new generation of stars take over but it was still the old guys past their prime (Lebron, Steph and KD) that got the job done winning gold! Could WBD actually look smart for not renewing their NBA deal??? We shall see.

I can't make great pass and dunks. Anybody that ever played can make some wide open 3s. What I don't get every coach thinks you need to shoot 30-40 a game but don't play defense against the 3. Cable is extremely expensive nowadays and if you enjoy the game it’s better to pay for league pass than opting for a 100+ dollar a month cable plan. I think if they bundle HBO/ESPN/ And ABC so you can watch all the games throughout the year the sales will go up exponentially. With the way things are divided now it seems like you have to pick and choose. Just my thoughts.

I agree to me the biggest reason the problem of NBA league pass you can't watch live televise games like regionals blackout but also live television on TNT and ESPN because I don't have cable and ESPN and TNT is for another subscription especially the ESPN games because it's not ESPN plus you need cable but also I ag it nfl is number but only in the United States but at least NBA is more popular worldwide

I've had league pass before but why have blackouts when watching home games. Should have all games, home and away games. Left that years ago

I have cable and NBA league pass. It's expensive but worth it to me. Most cord cutters I know are passing on sports to save money. This is a [problem that is only going to get worse.

League pass had too many blackouts I had to get two other services just to watch a game that’s why I ended up canceling everything and stop watching basketball

Because the regular season really doesn’t matter and the first 30 games teams can come back so it doesn’t matter who does good early

The NBA needs like a 55 game season to make the games matter more. But the numbers seem fine.

The fans are sick of refs being the star. It's the only sport where we know who every ref is. If you look at calls made, it's every little petty call. It's also stars not wanting to play every game.

Less interest cuz of illegal streams, live youtube playbacks and discords. Viewership will increase if you give less options to fans. Black out social media means and have fans focus on the actual live games 💯

All the NBA has to do is draft and hire the best basketball players in the world. They clearly do not have the best players in the world competing in the NBA. You have way too many so called “superstars” who are not elite and others are 1-2 dimensional players.how is a guy considered professional and donor know how to dribble and layup with both hands???? 🤦

Athleticism and defense are important too. If a players role is to play tough D and rebound and dunk, skill is not a requirement, but that player is in the bottom half of the league. In 20 years, that player won't be in the league as there are enough great athletes with skills. Compare '80s and '90s to day and you can easily see the skill gap, but not necessarily an athleticism gap.

Reduce games/season to like 70. Get rid of all back to back games. And for God sake start calling traveling. To a casual fan, their 10yo kid has more strict traveling rules.

Stop trying to reduce the games. Then it'll be 60. Then 45. Then 12 and they'll still feel entitled to miss games.

It's all about access!!! Turned off on sitting players. And hard to find a compelling game. The product is bad and the League doesn't care. Who wants to pay $200 when they sit curry or LeBron. Fans are tired of getting the short end of the stick. At some point they give up like myself. Or they just go online like you said and watch highlights on RUclips. This ways you're not wasting 3 hrs
