I've been using JMS for 4 months now on our farm here in the Philippines. It usually takes 48 hours before its ready to use, but now that's "summer" (not rainy season) it only takes a little over 24 hours! It facilitates incredible growth and combined with JLF we've seen equal to, dare I say it, more growth and fruiting than neighboring farms using chemical pelleted fertilizers! IMHO, I've been seeing better results from transitioning to JADAM from Korean Natural Farming. What has been your observation? Keep up the good work!
+Ian Penaflorida good job doing it man. I think you need to do what works on your farm for you. JADAM is easier to learn, I find people do NF wrong and aren't willing to overcome the learning curve. In that scenario I think JADAM is the way to go. There aren't corners to cut, it's already as simple as can be, and it's good! If you farm trees or bushes I think you consider jumping back into NF and trying again, but if you are doing row crops only maybe you don't need. NF teaches how nature works as you learn more and go deeper, that is the part you might miss. :) Sounds like you have an awesome farm! Keep on doing this loving of nature farming :)
Stumbled onto your Channel a week ago and I have to say I'm pretty excited to learn. In the past I've gone out and collected microorganisms in my local forests but I didnt really know what to do with it and was adding them to my compost and worm bins to increase the biodiversity of the final product. Your videos are sending me down a rabbit hole I never knew existed and I find it fascinating. Your videos are easy to understand and I look forward to learning more
You are doing it nature's way so what's to improve. You are just using a less concentrated innoculant but the results will be no different. These guys are not magicians.
Living in south africa and not having constant electricity for the more conventional brewing methods (airstone/bubblesnake) jms is a LIFESAVER , why im more on the jadam side than the knf side
I've used comfrey tea for years. I also chop and drop it as mulch. I use Russian Bocking 14 with an NPK of 1.8-0.5-7.0. I brew it in a 32 gallon black garbage can. Let it sit for 3 months to a year. I don't strain it, I just take the sprinkler off the can so I don't clog up the cans. I also use fermented plant juice made from comfrey which I foliar spray. I use only 1/4 teaspoon for 5 gallons. It's very powerful stuff. I also make lacto microorganisms which is also fermented. I combine it with the fermented plant juice and spray it every two weeks. It works pretty well. The only other addition I use for supplemental fertilization is some fast acting bone meal . I will use it when I start to see flowers forming on my tomatoes and peppers. Love it! Blessings to you. This was a wonderful video.
i heard that FDA banned Comfrey made creams and ingestion of any kind because it causes liver damage . i have comfrey in my back yard but i never brew it for plants. obviously it sounds that you have No problems. Did you even know it? the reason is comfrey has Alkaloyds.
That is a good idea for kiss. I appreciate simplicity. I paid 40.00 for root cuttings last year but lost every one. Van you direct me to a good source that sells Comfrey? ✌️
Holy hell am I late to the party! Found this video around February and brushed it aside like a fool... In the time since finding this I stumbled upon the JADAM stuff from some nudist female farmer (obvious clickbait is obvious) and bought the JADAM ULC book. I am now circling back to JMS and JLF demos, and I find you again after also seeing your name pop up in other video comments! Thank you, so much for this video. I am just beginning my journey into this method/style of growing and am only gaining more confidence the more I read and study. +1, brother! Thank you!

In reality these methods really work well, much better than things you can buy from the store and cheaper and healthier for both people and the environment, it's fantastic and Chris has a lot of other video's with lot's of really valuable information, well worth checking them out - knowledge is power !!!
Hi, thanks for sharing your knowledge. I make jms regularly for my garden. Now, I've been exchanging comments on a JADAM FB group, and some are adamant sa fungi (mycorrhizal etc) do not propagate in water or in JMS. Some claim to see none in their microscopes, or that fungus need solid matter and a host to multiply.. I myself often see a bunch of mushrooms after watering jms for the first time is some beds etc... I was wondering if you could share what you think.
Hi, really fancy doing this but not sure if it would lead to lots of mushrooms in the lawn... or.. would it prevent them.. as in can this restore balance, so no mushrooms, maybe no fairy rings in the lawn, and just a healthy lawn..love the video very easy to understand, no need to do a professional one!
Anyone else wondering about sea water instead of Salt. You need 430ml for 15 litre bucket. So thats 430ml added too 14.5~ fresh water. Sea water is avout 35g per litre, for 430ml should be 15.05 grams salt.
The soil contains the microbes you need, any starch or sugar will work, and (real) sea salt adds minerals but so do crushed multi-vitamins.. No need for bags! put it all in a bucket and let it work. It generates heat, and if it is still bullbing it isn't finished. When you make an instructional video it helps to understand how thing work.
I just put it in 5 gal bucket 4 cups chkn poo Added sum ashes an burnt wood 2 potatoes cut up 1 bag rice 1 tblsp sea salt Add in leaves weeds n grass Mix it let it sit An dilute it 1-2 cups per gal water. Bam doing great Simplify things for myself.
I sure do appreciate your casual presentation, to much going on or noise and I get distracted. Wonderful video, I used to live amongst progressive folks in Oregon but am now in Central Texas. The heat and humidity dictate changes in my gardening.
I remember picking up blueberrys in the wild when i was little and they were blue/purple inside! And little bit acid not sweet. Sinc there i never found wild blueberryes again.
Heading to the forest today to get a scoop of leaf mold soil. Still trying to get a hang of IMO but figured I'd do some jms jlf js jhs and jwa as I keep trying
This is my favorite video (of the ones I've watched), thank you so much for all of them! I'm wondering, would purchased mycorrhizae be suitable to add to my soil for this JMS?
Off the cuff idea: I know sea water instead of sea salt (430ml sea water to four gallons water) is good to do. Would using sea water coming out of a marsh inlet from high going to low tide be even better, as it's essentially flushing all the microbial goodness the sea water has steeped in during high tide?
Makes sense, and I agree. I think Mr Cho intends sea water, as it contains a myriad of elements, whereby salt probably does not contain them. I would say the marsh water would be a massive boon over salt, and as always 'use what you got!'. Sea water contains almost 100 million microbes in 1 cubic centimeter of sea water, so I wouldn't even worry about just using normal salt. Would like to know how it went?
Great news that apricots trees can handle cold weather because I'm in zone 6B and I was told our weather is too cold for apricots. Happy gardening from Pa.
Thank you for another great video. How often would you do a root drench with the diluted JMS solution and does it matter which growing phase of the plants?
Years ago I read an old gardening article that said to place baked potatoes in outer edge of hole before planting roses. I think she was on to something..
I made my first batch and unfortunately timed it wrong with the weather. The JMS was ready when it down poured rain all day and night. Next day-plants don’t need water…so the question is-do I still use old JMS? If so, do I dilute differently?

Are you diluting JMS with non chlorinated water? Or can I dilute straight out of the tap (hose) ??? Would you recommend reverse osmosis water to start with and dilute?
You can off-gas your tap water by letting it sit outside for 24-48hrs, or to speed up you can throw a bubbler in it and it might be finished in 12-24hrs. This is to allow the chloride to off-gas which is added to municipal waters to kill bacteria common to pipes, with this method we are trying to cultivate microbes so need the opposite. Not sure about RO, but if it’s filtering the chloride out then that would be a way to expedite, but you can also just leave it outside to do its thing
thank you for the quick how to this is great. do you use JADAM Herbal Solution at all? I'm curious to know what materials we have available here that would replace the Pasque flower.

Just getting started in this method. Can this be used as a pre-planting preparation in general for the garden? Can the JMS be stored after it has been made, and for how long. Being an active biologic I would think it would not store well.

Just getting started in this method. Can this be used as a pre-planting preparation in general for the garden? Can the JMS be stored after it has been made, and for how long. Being an active biologic I would think it would not store well.
Similar to an aerobic bacteria dominated tea it cant be stored has to be used immediately
Chris can I please get a answer I made imo2. Can u use it in coco soil ? And how do I use the imo2
Leaving water out for 24 hours makes the chemicals more concentrated they don't evaporate faster than water. Do you think epsom salt would work ?
Aloha Chris,
Where is this film shot? Don't look like the Big Island. Nice place btw and great informational videos. Mahalo
