    You can use this straight too in an area you won't be planting in for a few weeks. I do this all season long with the diluted every month or so, and in spring before I can plant go I full strength. It is best if you apply before or even after a good rain to get the microbes down deep, and you can even water it in too with rain water. It has a funky sort of sweet cheesy smell to it I've come to know. I like searching for good soil microbes when I go places, just throw a handful in a bag and keep it for next time. As long as it's pretty much local to your area I believe a good variety is a good idea and I'll add in some of my own compost and leaf mold too. It's so satisfying to see a big foamy head on the bucket to know it's good to go.👍🏻 It works like having everything that makes forest soil awesome, transferred into your garden bed where the microbes will then live, multiply, and break down soil into plant available compounds. Jadam is such a great knowledge base to add to any gardening routine.

      Normally I use bat guano ,worm cast, kelp and all types of stuff and molasses … I might start trying this instead … I have found two types of mycelium growing in my backyard one of them being mushrooms … I like the idea of watering in fresh mycelium instead of buying that powder

    A couple things, you should water it in with a hose or wait to brew until there is rain in the forecast. Since it’s an anaerobic soup it should go way down at least past the first 2 to 3 inches of soil where there is no air, to insure most anaerobes will survive. I heard this from master Cho.

    What is IMO3? What bother suspending the bag? Even so, why a 2x4 when a thin piece of wood or a broom handle would suffice, and you could tie the knot around it and eliminate the plastic zip tie. From the original JADAM videos, it is recommended that the soil be watered before application of JMS as well as afterwards.
    I admire your scaling the recipe down for the average gardener. I really like the entire JADAM methods. If you purchased the IMO3, a link to the source would be handy.
    Thank you for this video, I don’t mean to offend you, these are just questions I had while watching, along with some observations.

    • @humminbirdhoopz8231
      @humminbirdhoopz8231 3 года назад +9

      Great question! I had the same and opted to buy and research the book.
      Quick answers. Indigenous Microorganisms = (IMO)
      Any stick such as a broom handle will work. Just make sure its length doesn't prevent covering the bucket and that it is sturdy.
      So, according to the book (seen below,) the beauty of the JADAM method, if the low cost of materials by using what nature has provided us. Here is the answer to your questions:
      "As is always the case, nature comes to you and whispers, “I have what you need everywhere. Take all you need.” Yes. Take it. That is all you need to do about microorganisms. Take them from nature. Bring them to your fields.
      The secret is in the soil formed from leaf mold soil. It is abundant in the hills and fields around your house. Just take it and use it. Leaves have piled up for hundreds of years and decomposed into “black gold.” It is full of Indigenous Microorganisms (IMO) that have adapted to the environment most similar to your fields, hence making them the best workers because the microorganisms that are effective for the agriculture of a region can only come from that region. Leaf mold soil is the best collection of all types of precious microbes."
      Cho, Youngsang; Cho, Youngsang. JADAM Organic Farming: ULTRA Powerful Pest and Disease Control Solution, Make all-Natural Pesticide, The way to Ultra-Low-Cost agriculture! (p. 56). JADAM. Kindle Edition.
      As far as suspending the bag, because you want the active microbes "swinging and moving around, you don't want the medium to rest against a solid surface, thereby blocking free movement.

    I’m curious what the difference between JMS and an aerated compost tea is?

    • @jle5506
      @jle5506 2 года назад

      Only difference is the type of microbial life cultivated, jms breeds anaerobic microbes while aerated compost tea breeds aerobic microbes. Both have their uses. Also jms focuses more on fungal life in the soil while most compost tea recipes are bacterial dominated. Lookup Elaine Ingham if you want to know more m.ruclips.net/video/qnaxZFDCno8/видео.html.

Can we mix hydrogen peroxide and is it beneficial as long as bringing o2 to the soil or aireting?really wanna know Much love

      No no no only top 2 or 3 inches of soil has very lil air deeper is where these anaerobic life takes over... Apply with excessive water to get it deep into soil. Do not till your soil to aerate you will kill all the fungi near the top

    Hey man... I made JMS (or something similar) . I've put in a bucket a bag with active charcoal for a fish tank filters, with some coarse grinded eggshells and leftovers from a brewed tea , in another bag one potato and in third bag some Black Fly larvae frass.I also added about one table spoon of molasses. I brewed it with waterstone for oxygen for 48 hrs until thick foam was created. Now 5 days later the fluid smells like sea water (I didn't put any salt in it). Do you think that is ok, to smell like sea water...more like sea water stones...the ones with holes in it?

      Its dead parties over they ate all the food and died unless you're somewhere frigid usually aerobic teas peak in the 24 to 48 hours

    • @kyzero147
      @kyzero147 2 года назад +1

      I believe it’s done that way in the book. Most likely so it doesn’t have to be strained before being used in a commercial sprayer. JADAM was designed for large scale farming. JMS is time sensitive unlike JLF. If your making a 50 gallon solution and need to use it within a few hours it’s going to be a pain to strain mashed potato and skins.

      I live in Central Florida and have very sandy soil look and see if you have a local tree trimming company that will give you a woodchip dump most usually will do it for free spread the wood chips out and make jms and apply several times fungle life will go crazy on the wood chips they eat the lignin fibers and it will improve your soil cation exchange

    I tried this method using quality worm castings and some high end fungally dominated compost. After 4 days I produced a smelly foamy concoction.
    I want to believe what I did wasn’t a waste of time as well as a strain on my back so anyone feel free to guide me.
    1. What specific microbes are you trying to generate and how do you know success?
    2. Given the smell I’m concerned that what I succeeded in brewing is a pail of ammonia. A big concern!
    3. Given the need to dilute to such a high degree, the solution is weak at best and really not worth the effort. Dilution is not the solution.
    I have also bought an expensive bottle of EM which one applies at the rate of 1oz per gallon. At that rate it too better be the nectar of the gods to be effective.
    If anybody can help me in this journey I would greatly appreciate it. We all want to be as organic as possible so sharing information is critical. I just don’t want to break my back and spend $100 per tomato produced🤣

      You missed the point of this video and JMS. It’s supposed to be nearly free. Just a 5 gallon bucket, a potato, water, and a handful of leaf mold soil from the woods/forest, and a little sea salt.

    • @FlakeyPM
      @FlakeyPM 10 месяцев назад +1

      If you haven't already realised, you brewed anaerobic bacteria. If you want to brew longer than 2 days, you must bubble air through your brew.
