  • The Rhine Falls is one of the largest waterfalls in Europe, at 23 meters high and 150 meters wide. The Rhine Falls can be reached by train via the stations “Schloss Laufen” or “Neuhausen Rheinfall” (travel time: 5 minutes from Schaffhausen). From there, the Rhine Falls can be reached on foot in a few minutes.
It´s a popular day trip from Germany. Use the Deutschland ticket and take the regional train from Stuttgart main station to Singen (Hohentwiel) and from there to Schaffhausen.
The morning of July 16, 2024, was a bit overcast with a light rain. I decided to come back later and went to Zurich to walk around the city for 2 hours. I returned to Schaffhausen in the afternoon when the weather was nice and warm.
