I would put Paul in the top 10 male rock vocalists for sure. The fact that he's in his 70s and can still belt them out like it's still 1975...Daaaaaaaannnggg
I used to feed a one-legged seagull every day at lunchtime. Faster than lightning he was...AND leader of the whole pack of 2-leggers. 99% of the time, he'd run & be the 1st to grab every morsel I threw out. And NObody messed with him. Then one day, he just didn't show up. I miss that feisty lil guy.
Vocalist Paul Rodgers was the lead singer of the band Free that had a hit with All Right Now right after that became a hit Free broke up and Paul Rodgers put together Bad Company.
Biz, you really need to sit back with a bev or bud of your choice and listen to this album start to finish, I first heard this about 1974 and instantly became a Bad Co fan
This is my favorite Bad Company song! I saw them in concert and they showed birds flying into the sunset on the big screens. I can see it now! This really takes me back to the 70’s and 80’s ☮️❤️👵🏼🎸
As teens in the '80's, Bad Company was our constant companion on the jukebox at the smokey arcades in wagon-wheel, boot-scootin' Hee-Haw Land, Nashville!😅 I got to see them open for Triumph-another excellent '80's band-back in the day. Singer Paul Roger's sang for '60s band Free before BC. He also did an album & tour with Queen before they got a permanent "replacement" for Mercury. Is worth a listen/watch, at least on your own time, as it probably wouldn't win any polls any time soon. It was a flash, then gone! If you like this, & haven't heard the Beatles "Blackbird", you'll love it, & is a must-hear! See ya! 🤘😎❤
The other bird you were thinking of is a pelican. There's a beautiful song by John Denver called The Eagle and the Hawk I think you would like. It's short but sweet
Biz, I don’t know if you saw my recommendation for this, but either way another great song from their awesome debut album. Next up Don’t Let Me Down, Ready for love, Rock steady. You will love them all guaranteed. Love your channel my friend
Former limo driver from Boston MA...if I remember correctly it was Earth Day 1991 (which was also Hurricane Bob Day) I picked up Paul Rodgers (lead singer of Bad Co. AND others) and Kenny Jones (look him up) from the Boston Four Seasons at 7AM for an all day round of interviews at various New England (MA,NH,RI) rock stations promoting their new group The Law and Earth Day awareness. It turned into a 15hr Odyssey that I am happy to share if anyone is interested...just hit reply and ask.Best wishes to all. PAB
Great choice. Rodgers is such an amazing singer. Check out Rock Steady or The Way I Choose from this album if you haven't yet. The whole album is perfect Imo.
This was the final song on the album and it's great as a coda. One has to wonder if Paul Rodgers had recently read Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach, it was very big at that time and shares some of the same themes.
There's plenty to like about Bad Company, they have so many great songs like, "Rock Steady", "Feel Like Making Love", "Live For The Music", "Ready For Love", "Movin' On", "Call On Me", "Smoke Without Fire", "Burnin' Sky", "Silver, Blue And Gold", "Shooting Star", "Wildfire Woman", "Good Lovin' Gone Bad", "Running With The Pack" and more. Thanks for this reaction!
Really enjoying the variety of music that you are reacting too! Thank you. I am curious as to the amount of music that you react to how often do these songs go on your personal playlist? My guess is that it's quite extensive! Keep up the good work. Peace out! 👍🔥🎸🇺🇸🇬🇧😎
Man you should check out a lot more of these guys One of the best Rockin roll bands ever One of Ronnie Van Zant’s biggest influences Some of their best songs Burning Sky,Bad Company,Gone Gone Gone,Weep No More,Moving On,Ready For Love and The Way I Choose and a lot more These guys could put on a great show Paul Rogers the lead singer Does a tribute album to Muddy Waters and it’s one of my favorite blues albums and I love the blues But Paul Rogers had 6 or 7 lead guitarists To help him on this album Some of the lead guitarist Buddy Guy,Steve Miller,David Gilmore and Jeff Beck and Slash from Guns and Roses and a couple more All the songs on this album were written by Muddy Waters except for the one that’s called Muddy Water Blues and Paul Rogers Wrote for the cover of the album With Paul on vocals and some of the best lead guitarist in the world This is a great album Every song on the the album is great If you like the blues Bad Company is one of the greatest rock bands ever
This song is way deeper and way more than what is merely sung in the song. I never really looked into what the gull symbolizes. I prefer the mystery. edit: Your take on the song is pretty solid, as good as any.
I've only listened to a couple Bad Company songs, but I've got the Bad Company record, it was a very used and beat up record discounted according, so I got it. Hearing more songs definitely don't hurt from them lol
Hey homie not to sound like a prick but the band that made the song and album called bad company is called bad company it was their self titled band album the seagulls covered the song cause most of bad company died also there was another cover of this song by five finger deathpunch This bad company song is a different one I'm sorry the album cover to this song looked like the original one but seriously check out the og one and then the five finger deathpunch also check out deathpunch military based song also check out some of there early works too also bad company made a some other great songs too
This voice was right up there with the very best in rock.
Paul's greatness stands out on this song. This album is definitely a deep dive Biz.
Also Biz there was a book Jonathan livingstone seguall. If u check out that book the song makes perfect sense. Peace bro.
Don’t try to over analyse the lyrics, you can feel this song’s meaning anyway he envy’s the freedom of the seagull
Another perfect example of why Paul is considered one of the greatest vocalists of his genre.
Yeah man, I play this when I'm on my bike Rollin down the highway and just get lost in it
Silver Blue and Gold is another Bad company song you’ll probably love, very beautiful.
Check out Silver. Blue and Gold, The Sky Is Burning and Shooting Star. They have some great songs in their catalog.
Bad Company should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
I would put Paul in the top 10 male rock vocalists for sure. The fact that he's in his 70s and can still belt them out like it's still 1975...Daaaaaaaannnggg
Rodgers is a musical genius/lyricist/instrumentalist, he can play all the instruments. He's still out there.
This song is a testament to the voice of Paul Rodgers. It is incomparable.
I used to feed a one-legged seagull every day at lunchtime. Faster than lightning he was...AND leader of the whole pack of 2-leggers. 99% of the time, he'd run & be the 1st to grab every morsel I threw out. And NObody messed with him. Mr Biz you are a rocker 4 sure this music makes us think. Music when it touches you is what its meant to do❤
This is my favorite Bad Company song! I saw them in concert and they showed birds flying into the sunset on the big screens. I can see it now! This really takes me back to the 70’s and 80’s ☮️❤️👵🏼🎸
Somewhat along the same vein stylistically would be “Can’t find my way home” by Blind Faith. A must listen.

Lots of dynamic front men in the history of rock, my favorites are John Fogarty, Bon Scott and of course Paul Rodgers.
The other bird you were thinking of is a pelican. There's a beautiful song by John Denver called The Eagle and the Hawk I think you would like. It's short but sweet

Check out Paul Rodgers on lead with Queen doing Imagine..
It will blow your mind!

Try the song, Running with the pack.
I saw Bad Company in concert . They were as good live as the album’s . I loved every second of it . This is a beautiful song too .
Man you should check out a lot more of these guys One of the best Rockin roll bands ever One of Ronnie Van Zant’s biggest influences

I agree with this critique. Very accurate.
This song is way deeper and way more than what is merely sung in the song.

Awesome. Please consider Moving On, same album. You my friend ROCK!
Ready for love
Yea, I love the opening of Ready for Love. Don’t get me wrong the whole song is good but opening is perfect.
This is about the Vietnam War. Paul Rodgers is phenomenal.
Just today I told someone that very thing.
Reminds me of one of their other songs. Didn't listen to this, probably an album song
*GREAT SONG!!*
The meaning is of a bird who knows so much more than us. Then we shoot them out of the sky. They don't ask for nothing.
Great song 🎵 👌
Give a listen to a group called Honeymoon suite- the song what does it take . It’s an 80’s song
Yeah, not a negative thing about their message..
Hey homie not to sound like a prick but the band that made the song and album called bad company is called bad company it was their self titled band album the seagulls covered the song cause most of bad company died also there was another cover of this song by five finger deathpunch

That's a Pelican, and they eat their body weight in fish daily.
You might like Leon Redbone then.
What I don't understand is that out of the hundreds of different birds out there, why write a song about a rat with wings.
I’m with you, seagulls are the mascots for Walmart’s parking lot and of garbage dumps nationwide and quite frankly they are obnoxious birds. 😂
I almost fell asleep
😂😂
😂😂😂😂👊 I know you were thinking of a pelican 👊😉😂😂🇺🇸🕇
Love BAD COMPANY 💖💖💖💖
😂😂😂 I was
Next Bad CO song …Don’t Let Me Down, slow blues with a great sax solo, it’s a must
