- Just a quick video showing a couple things that go into making your own crab traps. In the video I’m using a 1/2” hog ring gun shooting stainless hog rings. Wire manufactured by Riverdale.

in Italy the sea is full of these blue crabs. All the fishermen are making cages. Here it has become a new job. They say that here they reproduce three times more than normal due to the climate. Two years ago we saw the first specimens, now they are everywhere, even in freshwater lakes!

do you have a link to the cutter you have there? I've seen the air nippers but I have not seen the one you put your own pliers into. I'd like to get one of those.

All is 10 and 12 gauge. The wire is Riverdale wire. Comes from .5x.5 all the way to 1.5”x1.5”
