What would have made this a better twist is if the movie led us to believe that Chelsea was the villain, but than revealed Grandmamah was the real villain and the whole conflict about Mermaids and Krakens was a lie.
Wondering when we get escape from planet earth review, also heres an animated movie you could review, Artic dogs warning: Its pretty bad and speaking of films taking place in a cold region Smallfoot
Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken is one of my all-time favorite DreamWorks films ever, and I also bought a DVD of the film. Also, there should be an animated TV series based on the film too. 🦑
I can see where you're coming from, and I think there was some missed potential (mainly in regards to Chelsea's identity), but two things end up making this film rise above The Last Wish for me: 1, RGTK wasn't incredibly overhyped, and 2, Big Jack Horner isn't there, and that guy can bite my SMA. If you're an animated character voiced by John Mulaney, you're either Spider-Ham or nobody.
@@Garyfan2001 Thank you. Ya know I find it okay for anyone to give this movie some proper and constructive criticism, but it just burns me up how the movie keeps getting some unfair hate. Like, I get it. It's predictable, but at least share some honest thoughts and be nice about it without getting cynical about the film. And what's even worse is that a movie THIS good, in my opinion, did badly at the box office,e, and Universal barely supported it. (I'm still made at Universal for doing that, by the way) it's not fair to see RGTK get a lousy reception, I find it rather sad. But at least the movie became a hit on Netflix, and most people began to like the movie, and it's getting more love and appreciation it rightfully deserves. I already declared Ruby Gillman's Teenage Kraken to be one of my favorite DreamWorks Animation movies, right next to Captain Underpants, Trolls, and Over The Hedge, and I always felt like I could defend the movie. Kirk DeMicco said there is a future for Ruby Gillman, like a sequel or a TV series (I believe there can be a Ruby Gillman TV series that is good and not like Megamind Rules), and I cannot wait for that to happen. Even Lana Condor, the voice of Ruby Gillman, said she wanted more of Ruby Gillman, and that's saying a lot. That being said, I always loved this movie. Predictable or not, I think the film deserves more love and respect. Just saying. RUBY GILLMAN FOREVER!!!💙🦑🐙
