Ritchie is one of the rare phenomenons of the industry... A seriously monster talent, who should've been one of THE biggest sensations to take the world by storm... I, myself have no idea how this never came to fruition, it's completely baffling. These things happen though I feel he's been somewhat content with how things have played out to some degree though. Some probably has had to due with his desire to not be directed by the hyenas of the labels and do his own thing, uninhibited and in restricted. I place him very high upon the same shelf as Jeff Beck, with a similar path in the industry. Self promoting and producing, etc.. Every work he has put out, has been remarkable. There are much better and more satisfying things than being ultimately famous, and sometimes making a comfortable, modest living from doing what YOU want and love, being proud of your work and satisfied with it is one of those things

Truth be told his engament with some of the bigger, mainstreamish bands is noticeable but it deosn't harm his music.

Maybe due to Dylan and Mike being the perfect rhythm section for Richie to reach his potential, not sure, but this band is the best I have see Richie with. Richie himself is one of the most talented Singer/ Guitar players I have seen and has fought hard against many obstacles to do what he does.
I can't believe that it took me the song "Elevate" by TWD to know of this incredible talent. Now, I'm hooked on his solo stuff. I think RK is the most talented musician walking this earth and no one knows!!! He is beyond amazing!!

I recommend to listen to Poison's album "Native Tongue" - Richie is doing solo guitar and vocals there and it's an amazing album.
