In this crappie ice fishing video we go into the deep mud flats looking for big crappie. Big crappie can be allusive during the ice fishing season… spreading out and roaming big mudflats. If you can find these fish however you can catch some real big crappies while ice fishing.

Thank you for measuring, soooo many fisherman throw around "there's a 14 - 15 inch crappie" no measuring stick in sight. I see that and most times say there's no way as it looks just over 12. CHEERS and thanks for the video.

I live near two pretty large ponds/ lakes that have nice size crappie. How do you locate them when there’s several other types of large pan fish in the same water? I can find the jumbo yellows no problem. Even in the big mud flats. But cannot seem to locate the crappie. I drill lots of holes searching but not sure hot to tell the dif in finicky small yellows and finicky crappie
