- "In The Court Of The Crimson King" featuring Ted Nugent from the 1972 debut album of Michael Quatro (& The Jam Band) called "Paintings". An excellent cover of Crimson King's most symphonic composition. Michael's version is rather trustful to the original but his extraordinary piano & synth skills bring new dimension to this amazing tune. His nostalgic mellotron playin' and moog sound effects makes it less darker and more sensitive as a composition! The rusted chains of prison moons

A quick Mike Quattro Band anecdote: I was with a fairly popular band opening for Mike’s band in the early 80s, and by the time they came on, there was only a handful of people - and I mean 2 or 3,- left in the venue. I stayed, of course, to see them, and his band came on and gave the most incredible performance you could’ve imagined… They kept their heads up, were professional, and just killed it! That’s always stayed with me, and I can’t possibly say how much I respect them for that very valuable ‘life lesson’… NEVER give less than all-you-have for an audience, regardless of your personal circumstances. What a class act, this band!
While tripping on LSD this video took me into a wonderful fairy tale world. Awesome music and awesome graphics! Thank You!

I dig your comments. This is so brilliant. I have been a Ted Nugent fan from his days with The Amboy Dukes. Never knew he was involved with this. I never heard of Michael Quatro. That's far out. Once again, a tremendous video to accompany the music. I had a flashback.

Michael Quatro is the brother of Suzi Quatro and the other Quatro sisters. He was in the band Cradle with his sisters.

Wow, never heard another version of this song that is from the King Crimson album that is still dear to my heart. In the Court Of...was about the first album i ever bought and the first Prog album i got at the age of 15...i have most of this band`s albums and saw them twice in the 70s and twice in the last decade with the current amazing line up. Dina, i love the intertwining of your visuals that enhance the music...this interesting version. I love the Mellotron! Always have...hope you are keeping well and happy in Springtime. i saw the Michael Quatro Jam Band at Northern Michigan University i 1972, he was opening for Chicago; and he was better than they were, he still is i expect. i was just 18 and had never heard anything like the Michael Quatro Jam Band; i've heard nothing like them since. thanks for the post.
