Instead of cancelling the electrol bonds they should have abolished anonymity but should have upheld donation through bank or bank bonds only which will reduce the risk of money laundering.

This is the advantage of independent judiciary
Its time to impeach Supreme Court Chief Justice Chandrachud for contradictory views on right to privacy in judgements regarding aadhar bill. At the most, Supreme court should have given part of work like issuance of bond to election commission while political party bank account to RBI Companies Act is already amended and the amount of money transferred is not basis for overturning act as it restrict fundamental right of freedom.

It will essentially let the Government control judge appointment destroying the barrier between Executive and Judiciary and will make Executive fully control judiciary. I think SC should explaine how it is " unconstitutional" and what is a constitutional method to get chanda/ donate chanda .... They should ..because i been to bank i have seen how a proper trail is made of electoral bonds transactions..
But they aren't made public. Wealth distribution is still an issue, if there are traces only people who are giving the money and people who are taking the money would know. This would allow parties a white means by which they can ask money for favours.

Very good decision without any doubt. It's not about any particular party but about the basic trait of democracy which was undermined by this scheme. Individuals and corporates were could use the scheme for quid pro quo which is quite evident. One right (right to privacy) can't be uphold by annihilation of the other one (right to information).
