I clean my oven every time I use it, if something drips I toss a wet paper towel over the spill while the oven is still warm that that usually makes cleanup pretty easy, glass doors get cleaned often too, but never when the glass is hot; I clean my refrigerator once a week or every 10 days right before I get groceries; as for cupboards after I finish cleaning the kitchen in the evening I pick one drawer or one shelf in a cabinet and I empty, declutter if necessary, wipe it down, and then refill. It takes about 65 days to complete every drawer and shelf (including my pantry) then I start over again; after two or three rotations you'll be able to skip a drawer or shelf until the next rotation because everything will stay pretty clean and organized. I can't imagine doing any entire kitchen at my age (71), but small increments can get the job done. Stay safe!

You have literally changed my quality of life with your videos. I worked full time for the last 35 years of my life and always had a housekeeper. Since the pandemic, no more housekeeper for safety reasons and it didn’t take long for the house to fall into disarray. In October I retired and the dread that came from even the thought of cleaning this 3700 square foot house was enough to make me want to stay in bed. I started watching your videos and began cleaning, starting with the routines. Everyday I did my zone cleaning, I repeated the words you said in one of your videos, “it will never be as dirty as it is right now.” It kept me going. Two months in, my house is so clean and stays clean. My husband helps with the weekly house blessing and we zip through the downstairs in 30-45 minutes. Everything is zone cleaned and I’m starting a 2021 declutter and deep cleaning challenge. I cleaned my garage the other day from top to bottom and it looks like a room in the regular part of the house now. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited for the day the pandemic is over and I get my housekeeper back but until then, I will survive and be in good spirits doing it. Thank you so much!

You can loosen the grime inside your oven much like a microwave.
Put vinegar in oven proof bowl and heat. Let it boil for a few minutes, turn oven and then leave for a few hours.

you can clean your oven more easily using ammonia. you place a basin in the dirty oven and fill it with hot water. you add ammonia. leave the mixture to act overnight and in the morning with a cloth wipe all the dirt. you pass a wet cloth and then dry it with a clean one. also cleans the oven door perfectly. with love from athens greece

Just a caution on the microwave trick. Years ago, I gave myself a horrible burn to the back of the hand (I have a permanent scar) by dipping my rag in the extremely hot water. The water actually exploded and burned my hand. If you’re going to use this trick, remove the water with a full oven mitt on and, obviously, don’t dip. Thanks for the great video😊 It’s always so sweet to see your baby “helping”😄

For those that have IOS devices iPhones and iPad the FlyLady has updated her app FlyLady plus. You can check the tasks in the zones for those that don’t want to use paper. Also for oven door I use the same cleaner as my stove top Cerama Bryte. Works like a charm. My oven door was not super dirty so no need to let it sit. But my toaster oven left 10 min before wiping. If spots remain use a plastic scrubber. For those that do not like the smell of vinegar use Realemon or fresh lemon juice. in your microwave oven.

We had white cabinets in our old house and I hated it. They always looked dirty. We went with gray in our new house and I love it. I really don’t notice the dirt on them unless I’m up close cleaning them. I love the backsplash in your kitchen. I almost went with it, but I decided on a gray, white, and mirrored one because I like to change paint colors and themes lol I decided to go with the Dyson V11 Outsize when we moved. We have 4 kids and 3 dogs. A small canister and 1 battery was not going to cut it in our house. Thanks for all the cleaning videos. They’re really helpful!

My oven is self cleaning by high heat. I also have enamel coated racks so you can leave them in during clean. I just wipe out the dust once it's cooled down. But i do also have to clean the oven glass as it does not come clean. Baking soda in water is a good refrigerator cleaner. Be careful with vinegar it can ruine finishes it is highly acidic. Oh yes i definitely need to scrub floor on my hands and knees. Baby boy is so adorable! Great work Stephanie!!!! Thank you!!!

I use this as a good stain remover in sinks and around the house. Especially for hard water spots. I’ve even used it on clothing stains.

Great inspiration to keep our kitchen clean! The paper dryer sheets soaking method for cleaning oven racks is so effective. It is my favorite of your many excellent recommendations. Smiled as ‘your close assistant’ helped clean up the frozen peas.
For the bathroom ~ paper dryer sheets are good on the inside of glass shower doors. Just dip one in water and wipe/scrub away soap scum. It will take more than one :).
I don’t use fabric softener for washing clothes, just white vinegar. So a small box of sheets last many years. ❤️

Steph, I can't thank you enough for your helpful videos as well as the free weekly cleaning schedule and zone cleaning schedule downloads. My focus has been on the morning routine and I'm doing very well with that. The bathroom swish and swipe has been a game changer. Now the weekly home blessing is so much faster because I'm keeping up with the bathrooms nearly daily. My kitchen is cleaner too as I'm keeping up better with the dishes. Anyway, I wish for you and your family a very happy New Year!!

For the oven, try mixing the baking soda with hydrogen peroxide and leave it overnight. When it comes to the door, I also use oven cleaner as it is the only thing that works on the door.

I have little one's too and prefer using eco friendly cleaners, I have not always been successful with the baking soda and vinegar but recently started using Norwex cleaning paste, it worked beautifully and not just on my oven , and I didn't need to deal with the chemicals 😍 I also use their cleaning cloths too! Check them out!

Rather than oven cleaner that is really harsh, you could try the Norwex paste. It is pretty amazing - but ovens are tough to get spotless. Barkeepers friend is good too, and also not as harsh.
