The Clever well there is a full 3-ish years until ps5 even comes out! The pro will be even more worth the upgrade with all the new games coming out (spider-man, red dead, bo4, etc.)

So ask someone who owns all of the systems I would recommend you all do the same go out and buy yourself each one of the systems so that way you can take advantage of all the world and all the great games cuz it's your somebody who is stuck on Xbox and you want to be able to play that new God of War guess what you can't because it's only a PlayStation game if you're an absolute true gamer you own the Xbox you own a PS you own a Nintendo and a PC.
I got my PS4 Pro for 295€. It was second hand but it looked brand new, the person who bought it probably only touched it once or twice. The manuals still smelled like new and the box was okay. It was a great deal, getting a Pro for the price of a Slim. I wouldn't have gotten it otherwise, my original idea was to get the Slim 1TB.

To me it really depends on when you plan on jumping into the next generation. If you're gonna be one of the first buyers, then the base model PS4 is going to save you some money that you can put towards some games or the next generation console, but if you're going to hang onto this generation for a few years into the next one, go for the Pro. I have a feeling game developers will take advantage of the additional power of the PS4 Pro to make cross generational games for it moreso than the base model PS4. Additionally, you might also be better served by buying the Xbox One X, as I strongly predict that the next generation Xbox won't be outrageously more powerful than that console, but will definitely outpace the base model Xbox One. So if you're going to hang onto this generation for maybe 4-5 years or more, definitely get the best models of this generation.
The slim.. Cause I have no 4k TV I did have a pro before I sold it and now I got a switch and to be honest I still play the same games as I did on the pro like doom and fallout but I see no performance gain or loss between the 2 consoles it litterly looks and feels like I'm still playing the pro but I'm not.. So in my eyes the slim is just better buy the pro runs hotter and is louder and has no real performance gain that I can tell sure it does cause its faster hardware but I couldnt tell so...that's what matters..
I’m just getting back into gaming after 10+ years away so coming from PS2 and original Xbox both look great. Given that I’m not a hardcore gamer, don’t have a 4K capable TV, and just want a chance to play on the weekends and with my kids, the slim works for me.
The base PS4 is still pretty powerful. The difference between the Xbox One and Xbox One X is more justifiable because the Xbox One is weaker than the PS4 and Xbox One X is more powerful than the PS4 Pro
You're way too generous, my man. PS4 Pro is trash. A wasted effort by Sony. The Slim is a much better value for the money. So I'd definitely recommend anyone go with that over the underwhelming PS4 Pro. The only thing the Pro does well is RUclips and Netflix in 4K. Lol
Pro is better if you are a more hardcore gamer and have a 4k tv set up and such.. If you aren't big on gaming then the PS4 is good. If u are doing a lot of psn purchases then I would go for the slim at least. Due to a bit more well better net.
Telling people not to buy a Pro is just dumb. Both 4K TV owners and 1080p TV owners (or monitors 1080p, 1440p) will benefit from the resolution bump since its downscaling then so you get that nice crisp game with more clarity compared to a regular PS4 where most games are blurry as fuck since hardly any of them are native 1080, but even then its blurry and full of aliasing.

I think the PS4 Slim is the best value console at the moment. You will be able to enjoy all the great games until the PS5 arrives. Btw you can cop the slim for as low as 240$ but i would suggest to go for the 1tb version that is around 280$ (still worth it). I would recommend the Xbox One S as well because it costs the same but PS4 is a more powerful console and you will see better graphics.
I have a ps4 pro and use on my 1080p60hertz tv. I have seen benefits though that is for sure thanks to the automatic supersampling mode in the settings
Expert Gaming HD playing a PS4 Pro on a standard 1080p TV will still give you a advantage over the base model PS4 such as improved picture quality with supersampling and I am myself trying to play no games with and without supersampling and I do notice a difference in those games that take advantage of supersampling I noticed that edges look smoother they look less in jagged they just look smoother. Another advantage of owning a PS4 Pro on a 1080p TV is higher frame rates your system can handle a much more stable frame rate a game like Battlefield 1 on the base model PS4 it is constantly bouncing between 40 and 60fps all the time and I have seen videos on this where it is constantly like jumping all over the place on the base model PS4 where on the PS4 Pro it's a much more stable 60fps making the game much smoother. and it goes that way for a lot of the games better on ps4 Pro but another advantage over a ps4 Pro has over the base model is you have boost mode. So you definitely do not need a 4K TV to take advantage of PS4 Pro Hardware. It works wonderful on a 1080p TV cuz that's exactly what I use it on and I have noticed major improvements in frame rates in a lot of games
PS4, the Pro is worthless, very little optimization differences. XB1 NEEDED to be upgraded PS4 never has needed ANYTHING done to it. I mean nearly 87 million consoles sold in 5 years, umm yeah that speaks VOLUMES!!

Hahha my OG PS4 just broke. I’m an above average gamer, I play fortnite and all of the exclusives. As well as stream Netflix. I have an awesome 1080P monitor, I don’t have a 4K setup. So, I just ordered the Slim. Same thing as the OG with some improvements. I don’t need the optical out as I can plug my Astro’s into the controller. This late in the life cycle of the system, I didn’t find the sense to spend the $400 plus and didn’t want to wait weeks for a bundle. The Pro was sold out everywhere near me and even online, so I guess that was God telling me to get the slim. Thanks for this video brotha, much love
Really great comparison but I am struggling to decide.. The PS4 slim bundle with the new Spiderman game is going to cost only $199 in the Black Friday but there is news on any discount at all for PS4 pro, which is now costing $399 that bundles with RDR2. I have a 4K TV but the extra 200 dollars for PS4 pro seems like a deal breaker for me. My main reason to buy the PS4 is for the upcoming Beat Saber VR. I can save 200 bucks on PS4 and use that to buy the PSVR.. But on the other hand, buying a PS4 Slim seems like a waste of my 4K TV... What would you recommend?
Buy the slim, you will not be disappointed. Its not gonna waste your 4K TV. Most new 4K tv's upscale content anyway. Put the reserved cash towards the PSVR. As an owner of both systems, the PSVR, and multiple 4K TVs, the difference isnt so huge given the price gap of $200. I personally will be buying another slim myself. I hope this helps you!
Also worth mentioning, if you plan on getting a 4K HDR TV in the not too distant future it might be worth buying the Pro so you don't need to upgrade later. Just a thought.
I really don't see the point in buying the ps pro when you can swap out hard drives for a bigger one, that's the only real reason why one would have this argument, all those specs mean nothing since you will never see the ps pro reach ultimate performance.

Sony & Microsoft by next year should both lower the prices of their "pro" consoles to the price of the "standard" versions and make them the standard versions. It definitely going to happen. If you already have a 4k tv and a slim, i dont think its worth getting the pro unless you really care about the extra gpu power. Your TV automatically upscales content, so in terms of image quality improvement, you'll notice it slightly but you'll really have to pay attention. Going from the slim to the pro is less noticeable then going from the pro to the slim - your eyes will catch quality drops over increases. So i would say stick with the slim for now.

I have both Pro & Scorpio & of course the OG PS4. My advice for those who want a PS4> 1. Get a 2nd hand Pro if you can. 2. If you can't find a Pro,get a 2nd hand OG PS4. 3. I did compare one game on my Xbox one and my ps4 pro. Tekken 7. I saw it looked much more sharper on ps4 pro and the lighting on the characters and draw distances looked better

But the base models are good as well . Expert Gaming HD, l wouldn't bother to get a PSVR until the PS5. It's really not cut out to what it is. It's not True VR and it's only slightly better on PS4PRO. I heard the PS5 would better optimize VR. Most players this generation have not been exposed to VR in the past and unfortunately don't know what VR is. I've been exposed to it back in the early 90's and though times have changed, l seen and understand VR. I'm sure there are others that may agree with me but for now l would save that money.

In my honest opinion I would choose the ps4 pro over the slim for many reasons the games load faster games play better on it and I like how it has the lite bar across and if you have the extra money rely not get the pro

I would recommend the Xbox One S as well because it costs the same but PS4 is a more powerful console and you will see better graphics.

I have a ps4 pro and use on my 1080p60hertz tv. I have seen benefits though that is for sure thanks to the automatic supersampling mode in the settings
Expert Gaming HD playing a PS4 Pro on a standard 1080p TV will still give you a advantage over the base model PS4 such as improved picture quality with supersampling and I am myself trying to play no games with and without supersampling and I do notice a difference in those games that take advantage of supersampling I noticed that edges look smoother they look less in jagged they just look smoother. Another advantage of owning a PS4 Pro on a 1080p TV is higher frame rates your system can handle a much more stable frame rate a game like Battlefield 1 on the base model PS4 it is constantly bouncing between 40 and 60fps all the time and I have seen videos on this where it is constantly like jumping all over the place on the base model PS4 where on the PS4 Pro it's a much more stable 60fps making the game much smoother. and it goes that way for a lot of the games better on ps4 Pro but another advantage over a ps4 Pro has over the base model is you have boost mode. So you definitely do not need a 4K TV to take advantage of PS4 Pro Hardware. It works wonderful on a 1080p TV cuz that's exactly what I use it on and I have noticed major improvements in frame rates in a lot of games

Hahha my OG PS4 just broke. I’m an above average gamer, I play fortnite and all of the exclusives. As well as stream Netflix. I have an awesome 1080P monitor, I don’t have a 4K setup. So, I just ordered the Slim. Same thing as the OG with some improvements. I don’t need the optical out as I can plug my Astro’s into the controller. This late in the life cycle of the system, I didn’t find the sense to spend the $400 plus and didn’t want to wait weeks for a bundle. The Pro was sold out everywhere near me and even online, so I guess that was God telling me to get the slim. Thanks for this video brotha, much love

Really great comparison but I am struggling to decide.. The PS4 slim bundle with the new Spiderman game is going to cost only $199 in the Black Friday but there is news on any discount at all for PS4 pro, which is now costing $399 that bundles with RDR2. I have a 4K TV but the extra 200 dollars for PS4 pro seems like a deal breaker for me. My main reason to buy the PS4 is for the upcoming Beat Saber VR. I can save 200 bucks on PS4 and use that to buy the PSVR.. But on the other hand, buying a PS4 Slim seems like a waste of my 4K TV... What would you recommend?
Buy the slim, you will not be disappointed. Its not gonna waste your 4K TV. Most new 4K tv's upscale content anyway. Put the reserved cash towards the PSVR. As an owner of both systems, the PSVR, and multiple 4K TVs, the difference isnt so huge given the price gap of $200. I personally will be buying another slim myself. I hope this helps you!

I really don't see the point in buying the ps pro when you can swap out hard drives for a bigger one, that's the only real reason why one would have this argument, all those specs mean nothing since you will never see the ps pro reach ultimate performance.

If you have a 4k TV and you like lots of PS4 exclusives (6 or more), and you really need to play them looking a little sharper, then you may consider the PS4 pro.
If you play more games that are multiplatform, get the Xbox one X instead, since is much better.
If you will buy a PS4 only for a few exclusives (1-5) Get the PS4 Slim.

Get the Pro. Get it from BestBuy or from Amazon. If you dont like it, return it and go with the slim. Try before you buy :)
I got a slim in February and the choice was pretty easy for me considering I haven’t invested a 4K tv yet. I’ll only go all in on 4K on the next gen PS5.
Sony & Microsoft by next year should both lower the prices of their "pro" consoles to the price of the "standard" versions and make them the standard versions. It definitely going to happen. Certainly the PS4 pro does need some improvement too with its design. - And mind you, I am saying this from the standpoint of me being a PS4 pro owner.

If you already have a 4k tv and a slim, i dont think its worth getting the pro unless you really care about the extra gpu power. Your TV automatically upscales content, so in terms of image quality improvement, you'll notice it slightly but you'll really have to pay attention. Going from the slim to the pro is less noticeable then going from the pro to the slim - your eyes will catch quality drops over increases.
So i would say stick with the slim for now.

My advice for those who want a PS4>
1. Get a 2nd hand Pro if you can.
2. If you can't find a Pro,get a 2nd hand OG PS4.
3. If you are one of those who don't like 2nd hand devices,get a new Slim.
Don't forget that the PS5 is very close. PS5 will be out in the market late 2019 the earliest.
ps: The Slim doesn't have an optical out port.Only the OG PS4 has one.

Dirk504 I'd say you're good to go. But if you want to play the PS4 exclusives at their best version then go for the Pro. Otherwise get third party titles on One X and exclusives on PS4

This years black friday has Xbox one X for $400 which runs games at native 4k you can get that (like i said before its not worth it cause xbox also struggles to maintain 60fps) which has better specs and so pretty much your wasting money on a pro

Easy answer, no 4ktv then no need for PS4PRO. PSVR is still garbage so that is a easy pass. Btw, there's only a handful of excluses on the PS4 worth buying vs the amount of Exclusives that the PS4 offers. Since l got both Xbox One and PS4, l still play Xbox One more.
I did compare one game on my Xbox one and my ps4 pro. Tekken 7. I saw it looked much more sharper on ps4 pro and the lighting on the characters and draw distances looked better

Expert Gaming HD, l wouldn't bother to get a PSVR until the PS5. It's really not cut out to what it is. It's not True VR and it's only slightly better on PS4PRO. I heard the PS5 would better optimize VR. Most players this generation have not been exposed to VR in the past and unfortunately don't know what VR is. I've been exposed to it back in the early 90's and though times have changed, l seen and understand VR. I'm sure there are others that may agree with me but for now l would save that money.
If you have a 4K monitor buy pro, if you don't slim is not making a huge difference and slim has 5G internet connection

Theres a pretty big difference, especially when you use boost mode for games that weren't optimized for the Pro. I would get the Pro.
