This is so good guys! So tactical. Since shorts were discussed so much, I wonder what percentage of the 100 million views a month is from shorts and how many views is from long form. My guess would be shorts out perform the longs, but either way that would be something I'd wanna know just to give me an idea for content strategy.
Now that shorts have gone to 3 minutes I wonder what his input would be regarding that. I've watched your updates on this but it would be interesting to see what kind of changes he makes to their approach on Ramsey's shorts.
Every milestone, no matter how small, is a victory. Celebrate each new subscriber, each positive comment, and each video you're proud of. These moments of success will fuel your motivation.
As a regular Ramsey viewer, I can say that these strategies are working. I love that I can click a link to the full video from the short--so many channels don't take advantage of this option and lose me as a viewer. Even though I'm interested in the topic, I don't have time to search around their channel for the full video. I'm a big fan of the clips as well--5-7 minutes is good for a break, but I don't usually have time to listen/watch an hour plus video. This was great, Sean! I learned a lot.
I listened to this podcast on audio at the gym this morning. I literally came on RUclips to find it and leave a comment on what AMAZING VALUE this interview delivers. I learned so so much and greatly appreciate this information. I will definitely be listening again and taking notes (notes not viable at the gym) Seriously, awesome content - as always. As a new RUclipsr, I can't imagine being without Think Media.
I'm listening on my phone and hopped on here to say this podcast episode is pure gold and so reassuring of my thought process regarding shorts being the bridge to my long-form content. 🔥Thank you Sean, and Think Media team!
This podcast alongside the SRK Cycle podcast last week has provided so many amazing insights on how to be successful on RUclips. Thanks so much to Sean and the team for providing such incredible content for your followers.
I'm going to need to watch this twice and take notes. I've been struggling to figure out how to integrate shorts, and have seen some of the same issues with momentum you mentioned around 16:30 or so. Lot of good stuff here, title doesn't lie.
Shorts Strat: •Shorts are strictly made out of top performing videos •Publish two highlight videos per day •Only create shorts out of high performing videos •Link to top performing videos of that short •Make sure swipe rate is 70% or more •HACK: First 1-3 seconds should be the best of the best •CTA: direct people to the full length video ((but HOW?!😅))
Also, I'm wondering about when he says full length video does he mean the full length highlight video. Because you're asking a lot of a viewer to try to get them to watch an hour long video after they just watched a 60 second short.
@@TheRamseyShow Another question if you don't mind. Do most of the monthly views on the channel come from shorts? Do your shorts usually out perform long form or does it vary?
I know you weren't able to give us the exact GPT prompt #Ramsey @ 19:29, but I think there was enough convo to patch it together on our own. But please let us know if you already have a specific content piece on that. I pray that God continues to bless you guys tremendously! Thanks!
Wow this episode is gold. I have been doing shorts wrong- posting same as on Soc media. Yup that’s me!!! Ow I understand clearly the changes I need to make. Exciting!
The trend is your friend! On my channel, I produce a lot of DIY remodeling, and high-profile engineering failure videos, but I also used my investigative skills on several videos covering the Donald Trump shooting. 3 of my videos have gotten over 2 million views, and I have gained 50,000 new subscribers in the last 2 weeks with these 9 videos due to the hot trending desire for more info on the Trump shooting. I now have 540,000 subs on RUclips.
Hugely valuable interview, lots of golden nuggets! The thing that stuck with me after watching is simple: Just like rowing a boat, make sure that all of your work is "rowing" in the same direction. Have your shorts work FOR your long form content and vice versa, have your processes and strategies work for one another, etc. I feel like after watching this video, I have a very good understanding of what my strategy will be moving forward and all of the gaps that I have to work on. 10/10, keep up the great work Think Media!
26:47 is a very interesting point. I have a hard time with titles and thumbnails. Question: is it better to avoid using trending songs on the shorts? I get subscribers from shorts but I’m still at 100 watch hours because they don’t come back.
I posted 6 shorts a day for a month. Even for just reactionary/joke content remixing other shorts, it was non-stop. I lowered it to three now, but trying to do alot more editing and stuff like that. A VERY steep learning curve, but I'm definitely not bored. (And also not having a problem loosing weight lol) I see it as a great opportunity to learn content creation as a whole. As I'm really new to it, but it's certainly a journey :) thank you for doing this deep dive! So much great information!
Bro...this may be one of my favorite TMP episodes. What an absolute masterclass of info. Really appreciate Connor (think that's his name) sharing their strategy, especially for Shorts in a way I've never heard or even considered. I take it by your reaction and questions, it was new to you too, which made it even more enjoyable. Proves we should never, ever stop learning. Thanks for the episode.
Going faceless is recently working really great on my second channel. I mean, I am just small content creator and I work really hard (I am also using a little bit of Famester, but I think that is a necessity nowadays). I just give all my videos small initial boost, and that caused them to spread literally everywhere, bringing more and more organic views day after day.
So good. YOU SAID IT! "This might be the best podcast we've ever had." -- BUT HOW could you say no to his offer to show you his ChatGPT skills!? Bro... bring him back for that!
When creating shorts from content do you re-record them or do you use clips from the long form? Long form is filmed horizontal, shorts are vertical. How do you do that? Thank you!
