- I've decided to hunt for a shiny living dex in Pokemon scarlet and violet! That means that I need to collect all 392 of the Pokemon that are available to catch shiny in Paldea!
This is how I'm doing after the 250 hours I spent shiny hunting in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet so far!

I was just walking to levincia while watching this and was about to pass a herd of deerling and I’ve developed a habit of stopping to look for shinies that aren’t that obvious so I stopped and sure enough it was shiny so i false swipe it and it uses take down I start to die inside as it was my first shiny fail and then remembered that I saved so I reloaded the game and caught it and checked for a mark and saw title conferred it had the cloudy mark so long story short I found a full odds marked shiny because I’m paranoid and stop to look at everything which then killed itself but I had thankfully saved

I thought I was supposed to focus on Jolteon, but nope. Shiny Toedscool only existed for 12 frames moving forward by 1 frame with the [ > ] key at some point by the timestamp shown above.

That happened to me today trying to find a shiny tinkatink. The shading made me think it's hammer was bronze or rust colored.
I got a shiny ditto watching the first part of this series earlier. Ran into what I thought was a Persian accidentally and did NOT expect a shiny ditto at all. Panicked so bad cause it turned into my ‘suicide move special’ Hawlucha but I caught it!💀💀
I love how the video started with snorunt. Because just a few days ago i found a female shiny snorunt on my way to a glalie mass outbreak, when there the shiny was in the first group that spawned. So shiny Snorunt will kinda be special to me
Snorunt is one of my favourite shinies because of the way the colour palette shifts along it's coat and eyes, congrats on your shiny!!

So I was doing the whole area zero thing, and the part that has a slop you need to go down to get to a research base was where I was at, just as I started to slide down it, I saw the shiny, got excited, then watched in horror as the cutscene played and the shiny dissapeared.

Fun fact! Numel was the last shiny I caught before finishing the Paldea Dex! It was hiding in an alcove of rocks along one of the big slopes in Area Zero, and I am SO lucky I even noticed it in the first place, cause that thing was super hard to tell apart from the other Numels given all the light in the area

I did a Chewtle outbreak, and after killing 11 of them, I FOUND THE SHINY!!!!!

I finished my first ever Shiny only play through of Pokemon Scarlet and it was the most fun I’ve ever had playing a Pokemon game. The idea of just seeking out the shiny version of a member of the team was to me at least a blast! I plan to do my own shiny living dex with my first goal being the Eeveeultions

Also don't think Toadscool was shiny, but the short frame didn't get the chance to load in the colours. Too bad shiny Toadscool also looks like it has no colors

I'll probably never do a living dex, let alone a shiny living dex, but i respect the time you're putting into it, especially masuda hunts. I'm trying to masuda hunt fuecoco and i can't even imagine doing it three times over for three different starters. Absolutely fuckin bonkers

@@RyanWasTakenToo I came back to say that I encountered 3 shinies in about 2.5 hours this morning, 2 of them were within 20 minutes of eachother! (Golduck, Stantler and Gastly) I feel so lucky!

Playing scarlet and violet really gives you eagle eyes (especially if you’re a shiny hunter)

I thought this too, but then it did the evolve animation when it won the fight!

My fellow shiny living dex hunter brother in christ i bare one simple question... How the hell does one hunt for a sunkern?!?

Sunkern doesn't show up in outbreaks, so honestly, the easiest method is probably masuda, although you can get infrequent spawns in flower patches!
There's also TWO fixed spawns outside of Los Platos at 1/4096 each that you could reset

I really hate how badly they mistreated the shiny Armarouge and Ceruledge. If they swapped the color palettes for the opposite game (yellow and orange for Ceruledge, and deep blue and purple for Armarouge), it would be so much better.
for pokemon that have suicide moves like memento or self-destruct, be sure to have a pokemon with the damp ability and the move skill swap, like golduck.
My first shiny in Scarlet was a random Mudsbray, i caught it abd named it Sweetheart and made him part of my team
My first in violet was a Rookiedee which i made part of my team instatly
