- UEFA Cup Final action from May 1974 in Rotterdam as Feyenoord host Tottenham Hotspur with the 2 sides having played out a 2-2 draw in the first leg in London 7 days previously.. Attendance - 59317.. Tottenham line up - Jennings / Evans / Naylor / Beal / England / Perryman / Pratt / McGrath / Peters / Coates / Chivers - (Sub used Holder for Pratt)
This Feyenoord team was most underrated with a host of really good players, (Israel, Jansen, Van Hanegem, De Jong and Rijsbergen) who played in the World Cup for Holland a month later.
Exact, cette équipe était très forte.
Auraient -t-ils battu le Bayern ?
The site is an absolute goldmine!! Keep them coming! Cheers!!
LIKE FROM YOUR SUBSCRIBER COUNTRY AZERBAIJAN. BAKU CITY. WOW WHAT A SUPER QUALITY VIDEO. I COULD SEE THIS MATCH THANKS TO YOU. BRAVO!
Long live dear friend!
Another brilliant upload thank you.
I was at this game 4 days after my 17th birthday. From my experience it wasn't pleasant, on or off the pitch.
Great upload keep em coming
thank you very much
Had no real complaints about losing this one but it hurt at the time as it was the first time I'd seen Spurs lose in a final. Can anyone tell me what the 'infringement' was at 06:30? Perfectly executed Barry Daines-style airkick by the keeper, Feyernoord central defender playing them onside... Would probably have lost anyway but the goal might have turned the tide a bit.
Having watched quite a few of the Spurs games on here that coincide with some of the England games I was totally gobsmacked to find out that Perryman had only 1 England cap, why ????
Segnò due gol in Tottenham-Milan!
Spurs was banned from playing home games in Europe after this as a result of the fan trouble for 2 matches however this ban would not be implemented as Spurs would not qualify for Europe again until 1981-82 in the European Cup Winners Cup
Home games? Then where would they have played?
Very unusual(especially for a highlights programme)that they should run the intro while showing the actual action from the match at the same time....and starting the highlights 3 minutes in! Anyone know why this happened...?
Was this broadcast on Thames Television only? I don't remember it live on Anglia ITV.
It wasn't live. Highlights started like that.
Networked highlights on the Thursday night except Scottish, Grampian and Ulster ITV showed East Germany v England the night this was played
Big punch up in this one .
Getting thrown down the terraces whilst wearing platform soles and flares can’t have been pleasant
Was this the first and only final Bill Nicholson lost?
Beal should easily have cleared their first off the line. Chiv and Mcgrath wete anonymous.
💎⚽️
Is there lots of rucking on the terraces?
Yes!
