Why did they make mistakes you think. Defenses that ajax played sooner or later got overpowered and destroyed. Ajax was not Just beautiful football. Ajax in essence had a almost predatory character. The controlled every aspect. Technique. Hard. Sublime. Organised. Constant attack. This also michels and cruyff. In military terms cruyff was a destroyer. The Total football doctrine at its best performed produced relentless pressure. And the constant changing of position of defenders and attackers overpowered oppononents as well. Inter was i think a difficult match for cruyff because of ultra stiff marking but yeah...two goals.

Huge fan of Dutch football.. but looking at these highlights it seemed like Cruyff could've passed the ball half a dozen times but kept on cooking then losing possession.
