Just thank God the family own the company! otherwise we see many examples: bring in a "high flyer" guess what! rolls up the company and gets a great kick-back!

Please, Please keep the company in your family! how many times we see "high flyers" brought into companies in order to strip assets and disappear with millions !
    JCB is a national asset!

Well to be precise it's an asset of _Transmissions and Engineering Services Netherlands BV_ since the 1970s, though whatever helps you sleep at night.

JCB is by far one of the greatest British success stories for decades! Good management, dedicated employees and a harmonious team-work atmosphere had been the main reasons behind this achievement!

JCB Rules! I remember as an apprentice 50 years ago, a digger driver sold his old JCB and bought a Whitlock! ...he said hopeless! kept blowing hydraulic pipes!....then bought a JCB again, why I remember this ....Mmmm don't know!

We have had JCB for 5 decades and not a problem, as far as we are concerned they were the best ! The last JCB we bought was in 2010 and we have had nothing but bother. When you grade, the arm lifts which should just not happen. They replaced the valve block and still no difference. It just sits in they shed collecting dust because we cannot use a machine that doesn't work. It sits immaculate, with only 400 hrs since 2010 ! When we used to buy a machine we never thought of anything else for the job, but now I am not so sure.

+classicmasseyman Contact the company! I'm sure they will resolve the problem!

Alan Thomas we have and it was the factory that said we will give you a valve block and that made no difference, its these check valves they are putting on the machines that are giving bother, wish they would just leave things alone.

From someone who has owned JCB's, also a patriotic Brit, JCB may be a success story for the British press/people, but buy a CATERPILLAR and you will never even bother to consider a JCB again.

    • @PSExcavationsLLC
      @PSExcavationsLLC 4 года назад

Yes this is true, I own an 88 3CX and is a great machine, but I have owned Cat 428C, 432D and a 432E, very good backhoes are the Cats, not crazy about the F's, and the Cats are made here in England too, so are the center mount models for the US.

Briton can do it BUT a lot of companies have gone bust or shut down due to bad management and MG rover is a very good example of that!......another British company Hayter has been taken over by Toro USA, Toro could not compete with Hayter in the uk so they bought the market, and now what was green machines is now red!

The Unions destroyed a lot of British companies. My father lost his job when I was growing up because the unions were striking that much companies went bankrupt.
My father told me of a union strike once because there was no toilet roll. This was the real reason.
Some companies as is normal went bankrupt through their own actions.
