at around 10 clicks in from fully open is the standard king valving (if there weren't adjusters). So if you fully open the adjusters (lefty loosy), then the ride gets softer. If you tighten it, then the ride gets firmer and more controlled. The king adjuster doesn't affect (too much) the daily drive on the pavement, so it may be hard to tell until you get in the dirt and start using more of the travel.
They do a heck of a job building them and speccing them for sure, however we generally tend to prefer the way the Fox and Kings feel. Certanly a lot of people who love their Falcons though, we just have not always shared their sentiment
every adjuster we know is righty-tighty; meaning going firmer on the compression adjustment - more damping. That's either restricting the oil flow to the reservoir through a needle (kings), or preloading a shimstack in the reservoir (Fox)
Hi! What would you recommend for me, I have a 22 ford bronco badlands Sasquatch. I mostly do overlanding, hauling my camping gear. I also do moderate off roading.
Nope, they are remote reservoir only. The modifications required to make a piggyback shock with a reservoir as big as these work would far exceed far exceed drilling one hole in the frame anyway
I have a 2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ. Aiming for about 10 inch travel with some prothane coil inserts to help with bottom outs. I need a shock that can control the short wheel base through dunes and lots of whoops. As is with basic twin tubes it bounces around all over the place and the back wheels leave the ground alot. As far as weight goes it will be fairly stock, lightweight front bar and rear tyre carrier. If you could give me any pointers that would be awesome.

Just really depends on how much you want to build the vehicle and how capable you would like the vehicle to be. We run Fox 2.5 on couple of vehicles but they're built for crawling and the desert. Fox 2.0 are a great starting point for those getting into it while Fox 2.5 are a much higher costly investment but will handle much better in off-roading.
Both are great. We have not personally tested them on our 2022 Bronco Badlands with the Sasquatch package as we're waiting for both manufacture to produce them. However we have tested them on other vehicles and both work great for daily driving. Both are also great on off-roading and it's depends on what you're looking for. I can't find these Fox socks that are setup like this i.e - high/low speed adjustments. Do you sell lift kits with this Fox system? I would rather just order a complete lift with these exact shocks.
@@ShockSurplus it would be for a 2023 bronco badlands Sasquatch looking to fit 37's with no rub and really like the dual adjustibility dials and configuration. What part number is that, same shock/coil you showed in the video
Do you have a 2 door or 4 door? The Bronco uses slightly different parts as they have IFS or struts/coilovers in all four corners. However they do make different part numbers based on 2 door and 4 door.
Sure so there are two speeds we talk about in this video. Shaft speed or the rate of suspension movement and vehicle speed. For the most part we are not necessarily all that concerned with vehicle speed on the road. How it rides at 10mph in your neighborhood is largely how it is going to ride at 80 mph in the fast lane. Off road what is considered high or low vehicle speeds is very subjective to the vehicle itself. 25 mph down a forest road might be blazing in an old leaf sprung Jeep, but would be barely creeping in Raptor, so we are not necessarily all that concerned with the specific number itself. When we say high speed off road, we are talking about driving on rough terrain at speeds that get close to the limits inherent of the chassis. When we are talking about shaft speed, IE high speed or low speed compression or rebound we are talking about the rate in which the suspension compresses or extends. Generally vehicle speed has very little to do with high speed or low speed suspension events. Although their is some overlap, high speed suspension tuning is largely what defines your bump stiffness and low speed dampening is what controls body motions like sway around corners, squat on the throttle, or dive under braking. If you take a turn at 2 or 200 mph how much it rolls has to do with low speed compression and rebound. Conversely regardless of vehicle speeds, how it feels over bumps that actually matter has to do with high speed compression.
It depends on your goals and preferences really. The Kings can usually be set up to be more soft and plush while the Fox are usually firmer, even when adjusted for maximum comfort, however they can be set up to handle a whole lot better. So if you like a "sportier" feel and prioritize control and consistency then the Fox is your winner, but if you want to ride on clouds, you probably want a King.
It really depends on how aggressive you want to build this. Fox 2.5 DSC, King 2.5 Adjustable, OME BP51, and Bilstein 8112/8100 are all great high performance parts.

If you're not really off-roading then both are overkill but Fox 2.0 would ride soft
I have a 2017 ram rebel with air suspension. I want to take that out and get a whole new setup and 35 in tires. This is my main car so on the freeway a lot. I maybe go off road once in a blue moon, but majority is road and snow during winter. What would you recommend for shocks?
What do you recommend for a 2020 at4 2500. I’m not going off roading just towing a 22ft boat
Bilstein 5100 is a towing and hauling shocks. That would suits your needs specifically.
