i go to the majority of festivals alone.. no accommodating to ur friends music tastes, waiting for each other to use bathrooms/fill water, spending 30 min just trying to meet up at a spot. u end up just wandering around and doing whatever u feel in the moment. you’d be surprised how many other ppl are there solo and willing to hang out. one of my favorite things is drinking w random ppl in the parking lot which is so chill
I went to my first ever festival (Lost Lands 2018) by myself cause none of my friends were into that kind of music. I met a group of people on Radiate that I camped with and hung out with the whole time and it was an instant feeling like we were all meant to be friends. Now we go to every festival together and they're my main rave squad! I was so nervous at first but it was sooooo worth it!
I'm going to lost lands this year for the first time! Possibly alone, not really sure yet... I'm excited though either way, I know people are going to be so nice and accepting 🤗🙂

Heard about your channel just because, Freaky Deaky 2019 is going to be my first ever EDM festival (came from your 2018 review lol) and I was on the fence of going just because I will be going solo. I haven’t been to a festival since 2018 because I haven’t had a group to go with… I think I’m going to go by myself to a festival this summer. I’m more introverted but I don’t want to miss out just cause I don’t have friends that are down

Yes! Too many people miss out because they don’t have anyone to go with! First show I went to by myself was Kasbo and it was awesome. Made some great friends. Best feeling is when you and some random person are just groovin out next to each other and you’re like ayyyyye! Lmao Can’t wait for UBBI BABY WOOOOO

Yup, this is me. I do most things alone and for the longest time I was afraid to do the same for EDM events, but now I've sort of gotten over that. I do feel like I'm missing out by not going with people though. :/
I love the solo journey facebook group...even though I'm going in a small group (me and my 2 crew members) its been great to meet people. Already have some scheduled meetups with people

I went to the "Heaven Belongs To You" tour by Brockhampton all by myself because I know of almost no one that likes the band or would be willing to spend the money I spent to go to it. I had the time of my life needless to say. The only thing that sucked with my experience was having to move my car out of a garage that closed at 10pm (when I say closed, I mean they would lock your car in that garage until the following morning, and I lived an hour away from the venue!) to another garage that closed at a later time during the intermission because Im an idiot and also new to the area and haven't figured out the parking system yet. The only judgement people probably had of me was how stupid I looked dancing, screaming, and singing along to their songs. I want to go to another Brockhampton concert because I had a blast at this one! If you're hesitant about going to a concert alone, just do it! But plan better than I did. 😬

I was hesitant back in 2019 to whether or not I should go to this festival, my friend cancelled on me last minute. So did I go?
Yes I did! Do I regret it? Hell no! I made it one of my best memory.
Just gotta be sure to be safe, bring a camera, vlog the whole experience, send your location to your friend once every two hours.
So I end up making a friend with this nice lad, and stayed on the sofa in his uni accommodation. It was fucking awesome experience!
Festival by yourself is without doubt the best way to do it

I did my first 2 fests solo, Imagine its just me and my friend and that's our "squad" and we basically just stay in the same place and meet up for both our favorite artists or down time. Also FYI Imagine phase 1 has dropped and it looks pretty massive to me ;)

Ade! Have you heard anything about Holy Shop 2020? There are rumors that it’s cancelled. Which would suck, Bc I went to 10.0 and it was the best festival I’ve been to!
I've heard it isn't cancelled but in years past they release details in May anyway so no need to fret it's probably coming soon :) They posted on their twitter they aren't going anywhere so hopefully 2020 is happening!

I have alwayss wanted to go to a festival and I’m planning to go to imagine festival in Georgia (which would be my first festival everrr) but it’s so hard when you don’t have friends😩 so as a first timer, should I go alone or with someone
Try to find someone if not definitely use social media to try and add yourself to a group!
Don't feel bad...I have friends and we almost never agree on music and I normally go to concerts by myself. It's so routine for me I actually rather go by myself anymore.
@@vibewithade So what’s the purpose of making this video then if you’re still telling her that she should find someone to go with if it’s her first time going to a festival?? Rather it’s a person’s first time going to a festival or not, they should still feel encouraged to go alone so that they don’t miss out on the experience.
@@JaMadatMe This was 3 years ago lol if it was her first festival ever like she mentioned, I proposed finding someone to connect with to go with because not knowing what to expect at all and going alone especially as a female can be intimidating and scary. I wouldn't have wanted her to go alone and something bad happen, but she did it based off of my recommendation. At the time of my comment, that was my thought process and 3 years later I still stand by it given her scenario. Had she been a regular festival attendee then I wouldn't have recommended that and stuck with the tips in this video. Everyone scenario's different and I did my best for her situation at the time of her comment.
@@vibewithade Oh okay, that’s understandable. I just didn’t want her or anyone else to feel discouraged from going to a festival if it’s their first time going and they are going by themselves and may not be able to connect with people like you mentioned. I plan on going to a festival in my city next year for the first time by myself, and although I’ve never been, I believe I have a pretty good grasp of what to expect based off feedback I’ve heard from previous attendees online. I do like your idea of connecting with others via social media who will also be attending the festival, so hopefully I will have luck with that next year if I plan on going to the festival in my city👍🏽

What about going to Clubs to Rave Alone? As a Women I am scared Men will become Creeps. I feel if I was a Man I would literally go to all events but I have this constant fear maybe a freak would turn a great night into my worse nightmare!

I'm a popular loner I'ma live regardless if I have friends to vibe or not, whoever missing out on events and needs to have friends in order to live life, are the weakest in the fields.......
Love the video but must say i dont agree. Friebds make the festival not the music. Been to fests alone and with friends and hands down always have more fun with friends. Also people are not so willing to take you in if youre alone. Most people will look at you like your imposing or your a “wook”... people def send off a dif vibe to unfamiliar faces. We dont want to admit but we are all weirded out when a “random” is trying to include themselves in our plans.. its fun to go to a fest alone because of the freedom but you ultimately will be missing the people you care for. Experiencing your favorite artist play your favorite song doesnt really feel as great when you dont have anyone to share the happiness with.
Everyone's entitled to their own opinion :) My main point is that you shouldn't miss out on a show or festival just because you won't have anyone to go with.
