yes! I love raving solo! every rave/festival/show I’ve attended so far I’ve went by myself. It was a little scary since I am a small girl (I do rave sober bc of that) lol but I’ve had so many incredible experiences raving solo. you’re on your own schedule & you only need to worry about yourself. like you said everytime I go alone, I never feel alone bc of how amazing ppl are. I like being by myself in general so it’s easy for me to push myself but ik it’s not for everyone. remember, not having a group or someone to go do things with shouldn’t stop you from living your best mf life guys! happy solo raving (:

No lie, I just asked the universe to give me a sign on if I should buy tickets to Imagine Music Fest even though I have no one to go with and this notification popped up right after!!!!! I have been going back and forth about attending the festival solo because I'm still new to the EDM/PLUR world and I'm so nervous, but none of my peeps are interested in the music or they can't make it! boooo! Thank you for this great content girl!! I will also be attending Electric Forest with my best friend for the first time this year as well, so I will see you in the forest!!

Raving solo is honestly the best omg! I've gone to the majority of my shows/festivals solo and i just meet random people to hang out with in the crowd
couldn't agree more. It's good to go with friends, but if you are open to making friends its good to go. Smile, wave, and make eye contact. Most importantly have fun!
yesss going solo is so freeing!!! I love and miss my rave fam while I'm solo but I love being able to do whatever I want

I love raving solo! Recently, I went to EDC Orlando 2019 with a group but, I was mainly alone because of different music tastes. I'm more of a trance head than a bass head but I do enjoy bass here and there. For me, I love going in groups of people to raves or festivals but the experience in my own opinion is so much more worth it if you're alone. You don't have to wait on anyone, you can stay as long as you want in a set, you can enjoy yourself more and immerse yourself in the moment, It's great! This is coming from a person that attended Ultra Miami 2018, EDC Orlando 2017, and other DJ's tour during the off season. It's nerve-wracking at first because you don't know what to expect but, I personally never had a problem with people. What you put out to the public is what you get. Currently planning to go to Sunset Music Festival in May alone and making payments for EDCO 2020!!! P.S. I Love your content!
I completely agree with you. My first ever rave, 4 yrs ago, I went alone. I was super nervous and scared because I had no idea what I was expecting. But tbh, I had the time of my life. I met soooo much people, and the ‘organic’ normal way of meeting people. Not through social media, but through the nicest people coming up to me and just chatting with people around me in the crowds. It was awesome and I felt so welcomed and loved. I think that introduction to the rave world was so ‘me’ and I learned a lot about the music and how it truly made me feel. I didn’t roll, I just smoked, i wanted to stay safe as much as possible. I don’t regret it at all, and now, 4 yrs later, I still talk to and meet up with the people I met at that first rave. Now I go to the sets that I want to go to, if my friends come with me then awesome, if not we always end up meeting after and it works out. I actually haven’t gone alone to an event since then, but u got me thinking about wanting to try it again😊

Yesss it’s so worth going to shows/festivals alone. I always told myself i didn’t want to miss out on opportunities waiting on other people when i could be living my best life even by myself. I met so many cool people who i still keep in touch with til this day. I feel like everyone should at least do a solo trip/festival at least one time in life.
Funny story, I was considering going alone to HARD this year just because I wanted to go so bad and didn’t trust the people I was considering going with. I ended up getting my money back and putting it towards a camping festival with friends. DIRTBIRD will be my first festival!!!
I want to stay local when I start going alone so I’m only a few hours away in case of emergency. I’m extremely lucky to live in California because there’s Outside Lands, HARD, CRSSD, Countdown NYE, Audiotistic, LIB, etc. Would be great to build up to EDC LV one year but I get so anxious in crowded spaces. Yesss learned to love going to shows solo! I went to Illenium’s Ascend tour in Atlanta solo! I asked these girls behind me if they could take a picture with me, and they ended up adopting me into their fam, and we always meet up at shows together now 💙
This year I’m going to Ubbi Dubbi solo!! I posted on the Subtle Asian Ravers Facebook group that I was looking for a place to stay, and someone reached out within 30 mins and welcomed me to their fam! Goes to show how people in this community are so kind and welcoming 🥺🥺🥺
Went to edco 2019 alone as well, but made friends with the people I was rooming with. Now I have rave fam in Orlando as well as in Vegas and L.A. it’s a great way to expand your horizons and meet people who want to do the same stuff you do!

But yeah going solo is the best experience for raves/shows/festivals. I always recommend to other ravers check out southwest vacation because you're able to get flight and hotel, but before you pay, they offer you the opportunity if you want to do payment plan for the flight and hotel. 1 year payment plan. Makes EDCLV trip much easier. Go to EDC solo the bus ride is awesome, talk to random people amd make friends in line and at the bus. Go to the pool parties solo, clubs solo. Eat where I want and where I want. Always plan ahead, use social media for upcoming events.
I solo all the time the last few years, it is fantastic lol. I was one of the rave dads for years, and I think soling is that much better for the ppl in the group that takes care of the others especially because you don't have to worry about the other ppl you brought and can just do your thing with the crowd. Most ppl are terrified of it, but I've had a blast. I debate if I would ever suggest someone to go alone their first time, but it would likely be ok anyway. "I'm not alone, I came with everyone" PLUR

Ya going to a festival by yourself is an amazing way to meet new people. Back in 2014 I went to spring awakening (festival in Chicago) by myself and I met this group on the last day they gave me acid for the first time and really connected with them. kept in touch and went to a much stuff with them and got to go to their wedding 3 years later.
I attended Lights All Night by myself and met some amazing people that I probably wouldn't have met if I went with friends or I a group. Completely agree with you 100% !!!

I went to my first music festivals EDC NY by myself. After I came back and posted the pics to FB. Since then , I've had so many people ask to go with me all the time now.
Going to EDCLV technically with a group but I feel like I want to branch out on my own this time and just meet up with them at the end of night at least one day.
I have only gone to 3 events TOTAL with a group, me and someone else. And those events were smaller, with the exception of Countdown NYE in SoCal. I LOVE going solo and meeting new people. I first did it for EDCLV 2019 and met so many cool people, some of them that I still keep in touch with and plan on meeting up with at certain events. It's totally worth it!!!

Love this. I had plans to go to edc Las Vegas this year with a friend(she asked me to go, we bought our tickets) and she straight up ghosted me which sucks. I still plan on going and I’m excited to finally go. A huge thing is knowing your plan and being safe/smart about your surroundings. I’ve gone to a lot of shows by myself and I honestly prefer it sometimes

Haven’t ever raved solo, but am thinking it’s definitely a possibility this year! I also enjoy being alone as I’ve gotten older and I do like the fact that when you’re solo everything is on your time.
My first festival this year will be EDCLV but I’m planning on seeing shows in the Denver area beforehand- Blunts & Blondes, Dillon Francis, Dash Berlin, and possibly Bear Grillz in April🤞🏻 I’ll head to Hard Summer in August (just snagged a ticket today & will possibly be my solo festival this year) Then finishing the year with EDCO, while sticking to local shows in the couple months before. I’d love to go to Lost Lands, but I am not sure if I’ll be able to swing it or be able to take the time off work!

When I first started going out alone in 2014 it was kind of awkward but now I go solo all the time and love it!
I went to 11 festivals in the past year and I went to 4 solo: nocturnal 2 days, Fri at dreamstate, autiotistic and Fri at wasteland last week.
Just bought a ticket to a festival I may very well attend solo, I figure life is too short to wait for others too long!
I’m going to EDC 2020 solo ✌🏻 will be my first EDC experience too but have been to plenty of festivals in the PNW so won’t be my first rave experience. So stoked! 🙏🏻🔥♥️👻🤗👽
I’m turning 18 in April and it’s perfect timing because Excision is playing right after at the NOS ;) I’m kind of scared because it’ll be my first event, and I’ll be alone but this video gave me a confidence boost forsureeee! 🤘🏽 Can’t Walt to ragee !! I agree with this advice! If you have a specific taste too and want to go to a weird fest, just do it solo. I went to defqon1 (hard dance) by myself and had a blast!

I’ve never went alone only because I get major anxiety to do most things alone but your video has me inspired to do show or festival alone I am the same way I tend to compromise with my rave family stay with them for the most part the only exception would be seven lions playing which btw is also my favorite artist ahhhh seven lions 🦁 I went to rails at dreamstate luckily I have a few seven lions die hards like me in my rave family so I wasn’t completely alone but I would someday be down to start with a local show in la go from there 👌🏽 thank you as always for all your helpful tips and advice 💜😆😍 lineup so far: slander, nghtmre, beyond, edc LV, Tomorrowland (if I can get a ticket) , (anywhere seven lions plays in ca) , escape, dreamstate 💜

I have literally been prepping myself for this upcoming rave out here in Seattle, WA because in the beginning I planned on going with this guy and his rave family but some events happened and now I’m probably going to be going alone. I have made some life long friends in his rave family like we still communicate but i don’t want to have to depend on them so I have been scared shitless for going by myself but I am so excited for this rave and I am not backing down so coming across this video, it has given me SOOOOO MUCH CONFIDENCE and reading these comments I am very excited and I LOVE your videos! I got the chance to go to Japan with my school as a foreign exchange student when I was 13!! It was one of the GREATEST THINGS I’ve ever experienced in my life. I went with around 11 other students and a few adults, but got the chance to stay solo with a host family the 2 weeks I was there 🙃 I to this day can’t believe I did that 🙃 I didn’t even speak the language! But yeah, push yourself out of your comfort zone a little bit and I bet the outcome will be life changing ☺️ you have to be uncomfortable to become comfortable 😁
Ps, I’ll be attending Electric Forest solo this year, but meeting up and camping with a group of cool people I’ve met through FB groups! 😊

OOOoooo my favorite kind of video! I really want to challenge myself to going to a festival alone soon too. I'm a little nervous, but I'm not sure why cause I moved to NYC, Australia, and LA without knowing anyone so I think I can handle three days lol. So far I think these is what I'm going to, but who knows what could change as we get closer- Gem & Jam, Deja Voom, EDC LV ?, Lightning in a Bottle, Electric Forest, Shambhala. I kept saying no basscenter but I will probably do that too -___-

I'm trying to attend 4 music festivals this year. I am attending EDC Las Vegas as 1 on the 4 festival I want to attend this year. I want to attend Audiotistic Bay Area. This festival always falls around my birthday which is July 15th. I also want to attend Escaped psycho circus...cause the final day land on Halloween this year. Then to round out the year I either want to attend Countdown, SnowGlobe music festival (or) decadence Arizona...One of those 3 to make it 4 festivals total.

There's a show in my city next month with Oliver Heldens, Kayzo, and Seven Lions but my friends have all been in the EDM scene way longer than me and have either seen the DJs before or aren't interested in seeing them. Booooo!! Maybe I should just buy a ticket, go alone, and see what happens :)

What show! Just make sure you let people know where you're going and know where security guards are ,etc.

Illieana JC I think so! Like I said I’d just stay at hotels/take shuttles that are associated with the festival to make sure you’re still safe! But in general, I think it’s a really liberating experience!
Can anyone help me find these groups for solo travelers? I’m going to ultra alone and haven’t booked anything yet due to price, any help would be great

There should be a group where female ravers and gays can meet up. Maybe not room together but meet up just to go raving together. I'm going to beyond wonderland so far.
