The RGZ-95C ReZEL (Commander Type) is a variation of the standard RGZ-95 ReZEL. The Commander Type is equipped with a different backpack than the standard model and has higher thrust due to the thrust limiter being removed. The suit's frame has been accordingly reinforced to handle this higher level of performance. The Commander Type's armaments are nearly identical, although it carries a powerful mega beam launcher in place of the beam rifle.

I like the detail of the commander ReZEL trying to stop the other one from firing at the Geara, trying to avoid causing a massive explosion from the beam weapon so close to a colony.
But in the real world, the Commander ReZEL can stop his comrade by radio, right?

I love the fights in Gundam Unicorn, all the units are combination of old and new suits and the details in mobile suit damage is just so real and juicy honestly

You know this was actually a pretty powerful unit especially the upgraded versions it's a shame that no quote Elite pilot could ever get in the seat and show exactly what it was capable of and instead was relegated to cannon fodder

This is without a doubt one of the most underrated and plot armor derived Federation Mobile Suits aside from the GM. I think it deserves better, especially the General Revel units.

I mean: the General Revil's MS detachments and their pilots were among the best of the best... only for them to be wrecked by a mentally unstable pilot and discount Char clone Full Frontal without even putting up even an ounce of a fight
And then they all got wiped out by an uninteresting and quite frankly one of the Worst char clones in Gundam... i cant even remember his name bec he's THAT uninteresting... all i know is that he just needs to touch grass.
This is another reason why I love grunt suits in any Gundam universe rather than the protagonist mobile suit the Gundam

I actually like the ReZEL a lot but dang did that thing become the cannon fodder MS of Unicorn.
I dunno, seemed to come off better then the Jegan and the GM.
@MasterSwo-MK2 It got one confirmed bully kill, and was otherwise slaughtered by super suits. Then the last one got shot down by a modified Bawoo. An eight year old suit from the Second Neo Zeon War.
GMs were at least scoring kills against Gelgoog and Doms at A Baoa Qu.
As for the Jegan, so long as it stayed the hell away from a named character, they had decent showings. Hell, the Stark Jegan nearly killed a named character.
@@shade8816 Me thinks the Crossbone Vanguard might have something to say about the Jegans "decent showing".
And as for the GMs, you only have to see their performance during the attack at Torrington, or heck in Z Gundam onwards as a whole, to see their performance at A Baoa Qu was strictly due to numbers, pilot experience. Both factors of which, ceased to be a factor in every conflict since.
@MasterSwo-MK2 Comparing Jegans in Crossbone is akin to an OYW Zaku trying to fight the Byarlant Custom. Tech is way too different and old to be a fair fight. Same with the GMs in Zeta.
Torrington was probably as close a fair fight (before feddie reinforcements) that we could get. True, Zeon had a good showing with surprise and speed on their side, but the feds were doing decent to hold their own.
But truth be told, the suit here DID deserve a far better showing that what it got stuck with. At the very least, it should have been able to hold its own and be a far better match for what it had to fight.

You know, the more I see of the ReZel, and it's variants, the more I like it. For an MS that non-elites use, it stands up pretty well against even strong opponents. Just a shame those opponents have weird secret weapons that are basically cheat codes. Going up against a Kshatriya? I can't tell if the pilot is supremely confident, or absolutely insane...
The fact that a STARK JEGAN, a arleady outdated suit, designed specifically for anti-ship combat, was literally this close to just demolishing the khsatriya if it werent for the cheapest trick yet most Zeonic thing in MS combat, *blind their fucking eyes*

@@scizorlord5126 is also worth to mention, the DOM's device was infact a failed beam cannon, but it had such a low power that it was only good for emitting a blinding flahs, but also a 'shockwave' powerful enoguh to scatter away beam weapons (normally sabers, but I heard it works on ranged weapons too). So yea my original comment is still valid enough.
What's with zeon's hate with eyes
In its description, it apparently was a unit limited to the elite and was basically a Gundam. Special armor and all. The writers simply took a steaming dump on it to show how strong and special the Sleeves are.
Funny thing, This Zeon Team at the beginning and this federation team(the Bule ReZel) will be working on the same team later in the series....

@@sotasp ReZELは「Refine Z Gundam Escort Leader」の略で、リ・ガズィと同じRGZ系列だけど、BWSを使わずに、グリプス戦役時に廃案となったZIIや本編で活躍したメタスの可変機構を採用してるのはなかなかエモい（特にリゼル一般機はまんまメタス）
しかも頭部などの一部装甲をジェガンと共通にすることでコストダウンも図れるとかいうお得設計w

The ReZEL was developed from the Methuss, a pretty inexpensive suit to produce
If you see how many RGM-79 GM, Magellans, and salamis were lost in the one year war......
You would wonder how the federation can still build new models and ships after that.
It lacks firepower even older suits have firepower than Rezel so its cheap unless special defensor units
I got a 1/100 MG of a ReZEL. Their flight mode looks odd, but these are simple awesome in battle mode.

I prefer the teal color that the ReZEL have in the OVA compared to the flat blue that's in the HGUC model kits. The teal looks better in my opinion

It doesn't transform really, it splits into two parts called the Attacker for the top half, and the Nutter for the bottom half.

確かリニアシートはパイロットスーツの背中だったか腰あたりだったかを固定する構造になっている、という設定を何かの資料で読んだ覚えがあります。F-91でシーブックが「ノーマルスーツじゃないとシートに固定されないのか」とぼやくシーンもあるので死に設定ではなさそうなので、おそらくこの時代のMSも同じ構造になっていると思われます。

Never did like that "Long Beam Saber" gimmick the rifles had.
It just comes of as impractical and non-viable to me.
After all, if I'm gonna use a sword, beam or otherwise, I want that blade to reach all the way down to my hand so I can make the most out of it, not extending from the tip of a mile long stick of metal that just about anything can cut and smash up with little issue.
Too bad it's a great gimmick that gets underutilized. It follows the same principal as a spear where reach gives advantage while also giving the advantage of not having to switch weapons when going from ranged to melee.

It's supposed to be a sword.
And in my opinion, it just doesn't work for that.
@@mechanomics2649 Yep, it's a back up option. It's even noted as not being a great alternative to a beam saber all of the time. Back in Zeta, Kamile gets his rifle stuck in an enemy at one point.
