You're doing great Olivia, beautiful scenery and beaches...please don't prophesy death over your future! Words have power! Speak life over your circumstances and future!
Good job Olivia! Driving manual just takes practice - especially in an off road setting. Being raised in North America is a disadvantage driving wise as manuals are much more common anywhere else in the world! Carry on! 👍
Good job Olivia. A good skill to have just in case Cody is incapacitated for whatever reason and is unable to drive. Always good to have a plan B. Remember, pracatice makes perfect.
Good job Olivia. You did great. No limits now! I had to learn to drive a stick shift without an instructor. I just drove around for 12 hours and learned how to manage it. . .and then when my brakes failed, I learned to use the parking brake to slow down and stop my vehicle. . . Onward!! 😍
See how easy that was, now that you made it to the beach! I remember learning stick in my town which is all on a steep hill. Bloody nightmare at 17 years old!
Olivia, you already got out of your comfort zone by going on the road. So, from now on It's a piece of cake😊. You can do it!! It'll make the trip more adventurous and fun. Remember, you have a great instructor teaching you 😊😊. Enjoy life💖
I learned how to drive in a 78 jeep, off road. I taught my son in the same jeep! Off road! I’m going to teach all of my sons, in that jeep, off road!how ever mine has lower gears, can’t be stalled
Olivia crushed it. A good "get to know your 4X4 truck" driving exercise is to find a steep hill, place the truck in 4x4 low, drive up the hill but then reverse down it. With a manual gear box place the truck into reverse but then slowly let off both the brake and clutch entirely and let the transmission and reverse gearing guide you down smoothly and controlled. Do this a few times and really learn how the truck makes it so easy to reverse down even in the worst conditions. I'd recommend an easy hill to start but then find something rocky with less traction. The Troopie will do all of the work.
We have a motorhome in the UK. It's 2.3 m wide, 3 m tall and 7.5m long (plus bike), so a challenge on the narrow roads of the UK. I mainly drive as well, but my wife has driven it, even around the VERY narrow roads in Cornwall, the lake district and Scotland. Though she doesn't love driving it on narrow roads she has become more confident through practice. As an aside: I don't love motorway driving (boring) but she happy to do that. It's also true we have a division of labour for lots of other jobs when we're away and that's often true for others from what I can gather.
Hey guys! Olivia, passing other vehicles in tight spots, everybody hates that. You seem very smart, and strong, you'll get better, and more confident the more you do it. I realize it wasn't needed for that road you guys were on, but low range makes it a bit easier, especially with that hill, so maybe try that until your confidence level comes up. Great video guys, really enjoying the trip, thanks for "bringing us along". 🙂
Vanwives drives and Bec of Eamon and Bec and many others so I don’t see the point of always the man driving! What if something happens and only one can drive? And yes scared in the beginning but confidence comes with practice and if one has a drivers license one is supposed to drive so let her drive and often and not be an obstacle to her inner spirit ❤Way to go that was an amazing video ❣️

Yes! Thank you!
Olivia, you did great. Not many women would drive that road the first or even 20th time behind the wheel of a standard shift.
Awesome job driving Olivia
and awesome job sitting in the passenger seat dude... (which I think was the toughest job) lol...
Haha I think it was a challenge for both of us
Good job. I can imagine it’s tricky shifting with your left hand.
You get used to it fairy quickly
Nice coastline.

The Troopy can do it all as long as we don’t get in the way 😂

Hey,
Learning to drive with a manual gearbox takes time and experience. separately from driving the 4x4.
Good job, keep it up.

Lol, there is no such thing that is “your” when with the other half but everything else is your faults 😂
Pretty good? Lol if that was me we would have been off the mountain.
