Good video, I enjoy peacefulness of the ocean and the sun setting or rising. Those mountains were beautiful. That was like Carnival cruise to the islands.
Yes it was very scenic to see the beautiful mountains especially in the morning sunlight.
Wow, love the vibe of this video! This one had something for everyone - gorgeous coastal views, maintenance magic, ship life.... you hit it out of the park with this one, Jeff. Camera work, editing - beautiful! We crossed (North Atlantic) 3-11 September and the seas were beautiful, looks like you had calm seas as well.
I am back in Brasil now relaxing for a month or so.

There was quite a distance behind the boards and even if it went over the rail. There is another area where all the fans are down there. You would seriously have to throw it extremely fast to put it in the water. Lol😁
I will be out there next year. Leaving diesel/hydraulic mechanic for ship engineering through SIU. Hope to see you out there! I like how you know which boats/trips you prefer. I hope to get into that kind of a situation after a few years of it myself.

How’s the industry right now Jeff? Is it harder or easier to get on a ship compared to a year or 2 ago?
To be honest and comparison to a couple years ago as you mentioned. I would say it is better because there has been a shortage of manpower.

Why do you have security with you I'd it for those people that hijack the boats
It is just a precautionary measure when we go through waters where things like that have happened or there is a high risk.
Just subscribed and must be absolutely beautiful to travel to tons of areas around the globe. Would love to do something like this one day.

Been a long grind, but I do it because I enjoy it.... I am not one of those people who is worried about followers and likes and things like that. You have to enjoy anything you do in life. If I was worried about that stuff I would just make more fancy flashy videos but that's not me.

Yes it was a nice hot sunny day and everyone seemed to enjoy it.
Didn't know the new ship was going to be an auto carrier. At first I thought it was an oil tanker when you said you were getting off here at the port of Galveston or Houston.
Yes normally any ships that come in and out of Houston you could assume they have a high probability of being tankers.

Yes I do look forward to getting back to Germany. Hopefully my next ship will be another container ship going to northern Europe.
Just curious - Are you allowed to have alcohol on board? I was thinking might be nice to have a beer with that barbecue.
No unfortunately they treat us like children and it is not allowed so even if you did have it you would have to keep it well hidden.
