I own both, personal I like the g30 better just because I’m going to be honest I’m a 45 acp fan boy. I only own one gun chambered in 45 but it’s my favorite caliber. I carry the g30 with a Glock 21 mag and an X grip so I have a full grip and everything. I also use the Glock 21 mag with a taran tactical +4 when I can. If you haven’t gotten one yet I’d say a Glock 30 is a great gun to add, but I like both my 22 and 30, they are great guns.
The G27 is very compact. You can only get 2 fingers on the grip and makes the stock magazine very short. You can always carry a G22 15 round mag as a spare. The G27 size makes for an excellent CCW.
Got a Glock 22 LEO trade-in, absolute beast. Came with night signs and only minor holster wear. Will be in my home defense rotation along with my Glock 19x
I'm getting the G27 soon but was wondering why there's a 4 round difference between the 27 and the 23 while the G22 to the G23 is only a 1 round difference. Gonna look at the mags design closer I guess and see what the hold up is. good video
I agree, it’s my carry gun. Carried a G27 for years but I find the G22 to be only very marginally bulkier to hide while being much easier to shoot well (and can be used with winter gloves) and it has a lot more ammo on-board. 15 rounds of .40 is a lot of firepower for either the streets or the woods.
Is target ammo good for self defense? I'm new to the gun world, and I own a Glock 22. Standard target ammo is all I can find around my neck of the woods. Even got online trying to find some self defense stuff and everywhere I went was ether sold out or the price for shipping was insane. So, I've just been carrying federal FMJs.
Yeah ammo is a little hard to come by right now. The Glock 22 is an excellent choice my friend! Target ammo will have to work for now cause it is certainly better than nothing but keep your eyes open for a box of good self defense ammo. Their is a big difference between target ammo and self defense ammo. Target ammo is a lot weaker, will not expand like hollow points, and has a higher chance of misfires/dudes. Soon as you find a box of self defense ammo, keep your Glock loaded with it but use your target ammo for target practice.
I bought a g22.4 LEO for 200 and I edc but want to go smaller not sure if to go with a 27 and just add a x grip on a 13/15 rounder or just get a g23 LEO or a gen 5 since the slide is thicker to manage recoil
I bought a 27. I'm willing to admit the 23 might be more of what I "wanted" in a gun (feeling in-hand, but for CCW a $15 mag extender is perfect for adding just a tad more control), but I'm very happy with my purchase. Can always swap out the barrel if I want a round with less kick.
Yes, we are still watching your video from 3 years ago. My favorite is the G27, although I have all 3 of them. My favorite is the 27, followed by the 22, then the 23. Call me a fanboy if you want, but I think they are all fine pistols.
I'm a newb to Glocks. I own 3 different M&P's, the comparable to these. But I would like to do some 80% Glocks.. I have .40 cal ammo, and was thinking about doing a Glock 35 since ita a large frame. What's the difference between a 22 and a 35..? and where is the best place to get these kits while we still have the freedom, but not for long it looks... Thanks!
G35 has 1inch longer slide and the triggers are different the g22 has about 5.5 pull while the g35 has 4.5 pull. The g35 has a couple competition part's, extended mag release and bigger slide lock.
Thank you for the video. I guess I know the answer but I wish you would have mentioned a little of how they handle with recoil excetera. I'm thinking the 27 wouldn't be much fun at all. Thanks again T
The recoil on the G27 is a little harsh with heavy load ammo (self-defense ammo). Not bad with practice ammo. I don't have any problem with the recoil but if you are looking for something with a little less kick the G26 is of course the same dimensions chambered in 9mm. Both rounds are fine for self-defense.
@@yosemitecam2741 Thank you for answering me. I'll be going to the range in a few days and for a few dollars they will let you shoot your choice of several models of the Glock. I'm really leaning toward the 23 . I just sold a 9mm Browning that was made in Belgium. I got enough out of that to buy a new Glock with some cash leftover . Thanks again, take care , T
Yosemite Cam as far as self-defense ammo i use the old school 40 cal Federal Hydra shok low recoil bullets...there only 135 grain with 1,200 fps velocity so it's a fast traveling projectile & because the bullet is so light the recoil feels like a under charged 9mm bullet...my 135 grain HST 9mm rounds feel like they have more recoil
Had a choice between the G30 and the G22. I went with the G22 and didn’t regret my choice🙂
Nice choice!

The 22 is king of Range
G21
The 17 begs to differ
The Glock 31 is in the corner laughing it's ass off
Like Hickok45 I like my Glock 23 the best.
I thought hickock45 fav was the g27 🤔
I love the 22 but I want the 27
The Glock 27 looks more adorable among those 3.. I really love Glock 27..
Glock 22 is that slim-thick hitter
Ok theo von 🤣
Just a excellent video on all 3 Glock guns a lot of people have all 3 guns I think the 23,27, is your best carry guns 😮
That’s everything I need to know, thanks
imo the 27 is the best because it fits all mags and for just $150 a pop you can buy the 9mm and .357 SIG conversion barrels. Can't wait

Yosemite Cam i carry my Glock 27 with a Glock 23 magazine & the XGrip extension...it still conceals pretty good
U can do that with a g23
I love my gen 5 glock 23
Excellent choice!
@@yosemitecam2741 just bought a glock 27 for my wife a few hours ago

@Bulls eye The 27 holds 9 rounds of 40S&W.
I have both the 23 and 22 but my edc is the 22
Why so? Just interested in your opinion. Thanks.
I rock the 22
I rock 27 with a 22 mag
@Certified Goon who are talking 2 ?🤣🤣
I rock all 3 of them.
The G22 is my favorite pistol from Glock's lineup.

I have an inside the waist holster for mine & have no difficulty wearing it. I love the speed + power of the 40s&w round.
I love my 23
Nice choice indeed!
Barrel length????
I needed this video. Im soo stuck between the 22/23

@@yosemitecam2741 Gotcha! thanks for the reply my friend.
Also, what's the best self defense ammo for Glock 22? I was told certain HPs cause feeding issues in Glocks.
I have never experience any Feeding problems with my Glocks. Normally a Glock will eat pretty much anything.

15 rounds for the g23 or is it13 + 1rounds.??
Accuracy wise, is there a difference since the 22 seems to have the longest barrel?
I have the 22 and 23
Excellent review I have a 27 but if I had to do it all over again I would have bought the 23 it's a little bit bigger for my bigger hands
It’s not too late to buy one
Just throw in the a 13round magazine and a xgrip 👌🏽
@@getmoney4481 I did get the grip and magazine extension and it helped a lot
str8 to the point 👍

Glock 23 for sure. No doubt.
G23 all day and night
