That transmission... The true star of the show. Yes the engine was insane but that transmission was the key component.
I always thought the engine was the most amazing part of the M3GTR but i watched a in-depth video on the drivetrain of the M3GTR and that transmission.... German engineering perfection.

Correction: 996 GT3R.. 991 didn't happen until 2015 or so.
My mistake it sounds like 991 but it actually says 9-1-1

5:42 I think you are wrong there, its quite the opposite. Porsche barely survived the 1990, and resource wise, BMW was in way better shape at that time. With the Cayenne being one the models turning the tide. Porsche was far from being the financial powerhouse they are today.
