In this video I rank my experiences working at a start up, corporate firm, and owning my business.
Hope this helps you get closer to figuring things out!
    Enjoy :)

Hey Max, I would just like to say that your videos are a huge inspiration. I'm also Ukrainian, but I was born and raised in the US. I just find your videos to really make sense in a way that I haven't really seen with other RUclipsrs. The way that you explain things are fantastic, what a cool video. I wish you all the best for your RUclips channel, and more importantly for your family.

Pretty crazy what different experiences we had!! I worked at a startup and slaved away, seriously, and made about 105K a year. I then left, and joined a corporation with better benefits and work life balance (a consulting firm, exactly like you). I earn 5K less, and I still feel like I leveled up because of the stability (startups are always at risk), benefits and worklife balace. Always wanted to start a business, pretty sure it will happen, we'll see how things pan out.
Thanks for a great and insightful video!

I think the biggest challenge of starting a business, is it forces you to fully understand the human condition to the fullest extent. What do people need, how do you solve that need, how do you communicate the solution to those who need it, how do you server the people where they leave feeling super happy.

There's also a whole niche of small small businesses that seem outside the scope of what people think of for work, but really make up a lot of the "connective tissue" of societies. I have a home and office cleaning business and I love every day I wake up knowing I make a difference for my clients. In my area these are the things people mean when we talk Small Business:
Plumbing and Heating, Garbage collection, Electrical Services, Lawn & Garden Care, Repairs & Maintenance, Childcare, Contractors, Veterinary Services, Pet Boarding, Personal Shopping and Delivery, In-home Assistance, Beauty and Hair care, Retail store, Restaurant, and more. Where I live most businesses are small, privately owned, and yes, there's a lot of responsibility, but 80hr weeks? Nope. The work-to-leisure ratio is way better than that, and I can volunteer to help in all kinds of places and ways because I have time flexibility.
There are more ways of working and making a difference than Big. Just adding this perspective because it's out there and it works. Thank you for the chance to comment on this.

Удачи Макс, у меня все тоже самое на всех этапах. Мне 23 и у меня тоже sales. 😅 но меня однажды научил мой босс когда мне было 19. If it is yours (deposit or client) it will be yours if it is not., it would never happen, so don’t go mad )
Так и стараюсь идти по жизни, но реальность конечно немного другая 😂

The sucky thing about earning all of your income from your startup is that you can't guarantee the reliability of your business's cash flow. I feel like the best strategy is to code something that needs little to no maintenance, and then get a job. Or get a job, then finish that automated software on the side, and then keep the job.
The downside is that it feels difficult to get a job without accomplishing something significant, and I haven't yet reached the level of accomplishment that I am aiming for. I hate having a section of my resume saying:
I'm working on ABC using blah blah blah, but it isn't done yet.
