There is a lot of work putting together these amazing vlogs and you making it look easy, however it’s obvious it is hard work. Keep up the great work Alex! Thank you also for taking such great care of Leila.
I loved the behind the scenes look as to how you make The Petericks videos look so awesome ! Your professionalism makes a huge difference. Thank you for this insightful look behind the camera ❣️
My goodness Alex! You seem to “hit the ground running” first thing and go nonstop all day, no wonder you are in such good shape. I was wondering when you were doing the drone shots of the convent spire if next time you or Billy could do a shot of the convent boundaries? It would be really neat to have a view along the entire boundary to put things in perspective. With Mick doing so much leveling and clearing lately, the layout of the convent is really changing. It is hard to get an idea of the whole layout from ground shots. Thanks!
The saying goes that when you renovate an old building that any potential spirits get upset at the disruption, so maybe putting the recording tablet in the dining area or library would be a good idea...
I love how you take such good care of, and include your pup! And, I had to grin when you strapped your camera into the seat belt. Priorities, 1 and 2! lol
I would like a drive around ernie. Just to see how people live, the houses etc. it was interesting seeing the gas pump. Very different from usa. More high tech!
Thanks for the behind the scenes 😊 A lot of work and running around goes into your day. Those yummy treats at the bakery, oh my!! 😋 My husband wanted Yanis's sandwich.
I did not realize that it was so much work. Plus, you have to go all over the convnet to film everyone. Love it when you use the drone, it's like flying and it's peaceful. Wow I can't believe what they have in the shop. It looks like you have fund and also work hard, thank you sharing Alex and of course LaLa.
I don’t think you will ever have to worry about Layla getting attention, apart from the fact she makes a very good supervisor she is everywhere. Love the aerial shots and the effort you put into your photography. I love, love love lemon tart. My absolute 😂favourite.. Thought it was mean of you to eat one in front of me, 😂😂
Wow, well done Alex. You are doing great. Your work ethic and communication is impressive. Also, you have trained your dog fantastically well, she is adorable. The drone shots showed images I’ve not seen before and I’ve been watching from very early days. Good job. Thank you.💕😊💕
I was exhausted just watching it Alex, well done. Also, that ghost recorder....wouldn't it be fun if something was heard on it...nudge nudge, wink wink. It would freak Billy out.
Hi Alex, I love the behind-the-scenes filming. You had filmed a video when everybody was helping Simon put on his roof, you had a lot of slow-motion shots with some great blues music, I remember telling Billy in the comments, I could have watched the guys all day long that way, and never need the time laps. Will you ever again incorporate music and slow motion again? You really get your exercise in I wonder how many steps a day you do. Well, done Alex, I really enjoyed you're a week in the life of me. Thanks again for sharing it with us. love from N.Y.
That's a lot of running around you have to do, keeps you fit! Thankyou for another behind the scenes video. Appreciate all the work you do to bring us these fab videos on here and on The Petherick's channel. You are definitely a talented guy. I wouldn't have a clue!! Amazing views around the convent Leila is such a good girl! I used to have a sports direct cup, it broke, ive now got a big 'the boss' cup 😆 ooo, i'd have to have a Religieuse cake 😜 although yours looks tasty too!!!
First, thank you for being so kind and thoughtful to your sweet doggie 🤗 Thank you for sharing your experiences. You are so professional, talented and interesting- well done.
Fun to watch! In British Columbia, Canada, where I live, we prepay for gas at the pumps as well. The law came into effect after the tragic death of a young gas station attendant who was dragged to his death trying to catch a gas thief fleeing.
Love all your behind the scene reporting . Once more I am in awe of the amount of running around you do while filming ! You need those lemon pastries to give you energy ! Thank you for another fun video. I agree with the comments about an interview with Simon!
I would love to see an interview with Simon like you did with Yanis. Don't need a deep dive into his personal life, but curious about his work life in the UK, whether he renovated his home there, his plans for moving to France when his farmhouse is done, just general nosy information. 😊
Brilliant as usual, thanks. I have to say Layla is such a beautiful dog. I had an old English Sheep dog called Layla and she was very well behaved like your gorgeous girl. However, her litter sister ( Carly) was just the opposite!! Good times. 😅😅😊😊
Wow I had no idea of the work involved in being a cameramen Alex. Along with directing and producing as well. Phew! Thanks for an enlightening and enjoyable video. Sending hugs to Lela.
Thank you for taking us behind the work today. I was truly amazed at all of the work that goes into creating these wonderful videos. I also watched that humping scene over and over, laughing so hard that l got tears in my eyes. I’m so glad you guys left that in the video. Simon was hysterical, and Billy and Yanis were just trying to hold it together. I wait every day for the vlogs, and l love them all. At the end of every video l wish you all love, and good health. You all bring me such happiness, and l learn a lot. From my whole heart l thank you for all of these wonderful moments. ❤️❤️❤️
Alex you’re awesome. Thank you for the visit to the Boulangerie, I know you did it just for this retired pastry chef but it seems others enjoyed it too! Well done. It was fascinating to see what you do as a cameraman but seeing you and Lela together warms my soul. Thank you.
Cheers, Alex!! This was a very interesting video, and you are an expert!! Thank you for bringing us along behind the scenes!! I liked it all, especially the drone sequence, the boulangerie interior, and the quick walk through of some very recognizable areas of the Convent, the town, and the entrance to Basmaignee. Although it is nearly sixty years since I was sat in a classroom learning French, I completely understood you and Yanis. Following various vlogs on YT has me revisiting French and Italian. Simon's language "lesson" only drives home the point that the UK and the US are two countries divided by the same language. (I lived in the UK for a time in the 80s.) Layla is adorable, and it is a joy to see her!! Finally, we complain bitterly in the US about gas prices. I know it is more in Europe. The current price where I live in New England is about 0.9018 Euros per liter, OR $3.42 USD per gallon. I realize liters and gallons are not comparable at all, and my figures are estimates. Chuck in Northern New England
Another great video Alex! I loved seeing the local bakery and treats, loads of Leila too, which we always love. I'd love to see what other shops are in the area. Keep up the great work. We always miss you when you're not at the convent but great to see all that you get up to.
Bonjour Alex, I enjoyed your video, it shows how well organizes you have to be as well as much of planning it takes your job requires. There is a lot of movement on you part as well, we tend to forget this aspect of the job when we look at a video. Thank you for sharing, great job.
Stellar! Loved this, Alex! Those French pastries, cakes, breads and sandwiches looked delicious! Would love to get my teeth into some of those baked goods! Thank you for sharing your week behind the scenes with us. 🎩💖✨
Hilariously funny you guys eating and gorging on those sweet pastries from France! Oh My Lord so tempting! I wish I was there three times in a week queueing in that Patisserie!! Say Hi from us poor souls of England to the boulanger (baker).
No matter how busy you are Alex, Lela is most definitely your wing gal! Did you name her after the Eric Clapton song ‘Layla’? I was just wondering if you might photograph the art in and around the convent. Outside, there are the relief wall medallions and any free standing objects. The interior objects would include painted surfaces in the chapel, figurines and stained glass windows. Also, the architectural elements are interesting. Especially the carved bannister hand railing, the spiral railing in the apartment complex and any unique stone patterns. Thank you.
Great way to start my day! You took me along with you on new adventures with RUclips friends. I am fairly housebound, but I feel like I am exploring new worlds through your lovely videos. Thank you. Hello to Layla, too.
You know a true professional when they make their job look so easy and simple, when in fact it is anything but. We'll done, Alex!!!!

A interview of Simon would be great. Life, family etc.
Yes! Does Simon have a last name?
Yes! Yes, please!
So funny to see Simon not smiling until “ action “
Thanks for the behind the scenes Alex. You are a hard worker.
This gives us viewers a real appreciation for all it takes for these excellent presentations daily. THANK YOU ALL
Alex, I love hearing you giggle in the background when Yanis starts clowning around. You two seem to be really good friends.
A Simon interview would be awesome!
Lela is the star. Can't get enough of her. Any behind the scenes is good.
If there's one thing I learned watching this video, it's that Alex gets his steps in when he's working!
He should wear a fit bit to see how many steps he actually does get in in one day😉
Thanks Alex! Love the " behind the scenes "❣️
I like your opening shots, it's always pleasant to watch the scenery change throughout the season
Thank you Alex, would love to see a drone shot of the convent grounds, now they have been cleared a bit more. (Lela is such a good dog) 🙏🏻🇬🇧
same here
Alex, you are also a great interviewer. You question are always something I might be thinking and you keep things flowing.
I thoroughly enjoyed your filming Alex and NOT boring at all. Love the team banter, and Layla is such a treasure.
You really have to be on the top of your game, Alex! Could we buy you some extra memory cards since your cups of tea are supplied by Billy???
You do a great job Alex. I would like you to film an interview with Simon, just like the interview with Yanis. Xx
You're a great busy cameraman that still looks out for his pup😊❤
Love the sweet way you look after Layla ☺
My goodness Alex! You seem to “hit the ground running” first thing and go nonstop all day, no wonder you are in such good shape. Yes please, the whole property boundary would be great.
Love that Layla! You’re a great dog dad!
The saying goes that when you renovate an old building that any potential spirits get upset at the disruption, so maybe putting the recording tablet in the dining area or library would be a good idea...
That lemon tart looked reeeeally good. Darn you , now I want one .
::Grins:: How about a day in the life of Layla, Alex the Cameraman's beloved pupper?
❤thank you for your time. Don’t be so hard on yourself. Things will slow down.😊
the southern comfort moments made me laugh again. Thank you!
Love Layla, what a sweet dog. Thank you for being such a great owner Alex, it's nice to see people that really take care of their pets. ❤❤❤
I love these behind the scenes videos Alex. The drone footage is fantastic!
I really enjoy the back stage stuff. And all the Lela moments.
Love it when we hear Lela little paws make music on the floor, instant happiness.
You look after and trained layla really well .and it's lovely to see . Really nice to see how your days are
I love how you take such good care of, and include your pup! And, I had to grin when you strapped your camera into the seat belt. Priorities, 1 and 2! lol
You are very organized and disciplined Alex. A good formula for success! Carry on! 🇨🇦❤️
I would like a drive around ernie. Just to see how people live, the houses etc. it was interesting seeing the gas pump. Very different from usa. More high tech!
I really enjoyed this video! Thank you Alex!
Hi, Alex! It's good to see you on the other side of the camera. Great job!
Layla is such a well behaved dog and a constant companion. You’ve trained her well and treat her well. I think Yanis loves her! Excellent video, Alex.
Thanks for the behind the scenes 😊 A lot of work and running around goes into your day. Those yummy treats at the bakery, oh my!! 😋 My husband wanted Yanis's sandwich.
Hi Alex would love to see the Chateau from the air pointing out the different buildings and where the horses go. Thanks
This is fascinating. You cover a lot of ground!
That's a new one Simon, humping the furniture. LOL
the bakery should give you lots of items that haven't sold. it's better than going in the trash.😢 it all looks 👀 sooo good.❤
I did not realize that it was so much work. Plus, you have to go all over the convnet to film everyone. Love it when you use the drone, it's like flying and it's peaceful. I really enjoyed this vlog. It was interesting to see a behind the scenes view.
I enjoy watching your behind the scenes as much as what you film for Billy. Layla is good little girl. She is well trained. Cheers.
Wow, well done Alex. You are doing great. Your work ethic and communication is impressive. Also, you have trained your dog fantastically well, she is adorable. The drone shots showed images I’ve not seen before and I’ve been watching from very early days. Good job. Thank you.💕😊💕
For some reason, I find myself feeling really invested in the journey of Alex's teacup around the convent.
😂😂😂
No wonder you are knackers Alex you are on the go none stop. Your filming is always a joy to watch with so much content, plus your lovely dog Layla
Wow Alex! You are a true professional, you make everything look quite effortless in the vlogs. Thank for sharing your journey with us all. ♥️🙏🏼♥️
I was exhausted just watching it Alex, well done. Also, that ghost recorder....wouldn't it be fun if something was heard on it...nudge nudge, wink wink. It would freak Billy out.
Hi Alex, I love seeing Lela and the behind the scenes at the convent!

I would like to see an interview with Alex. Not sure who should do it. I think Michael may make a good job of it.

Funny with Simon and Yannis have their own “ language” now .. like brothers❤.. who knew you would be filming tip runs and the rest of us loving it

outstanding 'deep cut' Alex, top work, nailing everything right now, a pleasure to watch, just keep going :)
I am from the XIX centry 😊and seeing all this technology and the possibilities it gives is amazing. Thank you Alex for being so friendly and polite.
I was wondering how Leala stayed put around all the noise. Bet she is not happy not being around her guys but this too shall pass! Good Girl
Love the behind the scenes. Amazing how much work goes into these videos you produce! Keep up the great work!!!
Very enjoyable relaxing video to watch and listen to while hand sewing the sleeve of an 18th /century style gown, Thank you so much.
I'd love to see you and Lela taking a nice long walk through the Chateau woods or surrounding area.
Enjoyable watch good variety.
Thanks Alex. A very interesting Video. You are certainly kept very busy. Great to see behind the scenes and how everything is set up. Top Job.
I loved all of the little bakery shops when I was in France. Having something yummy for breakfast every morning was amazing.

Show us an overhead view of the area Dad, Rick and Steve cleared in context to the Convent and surrounding area. Thanks Alex ❤
Thanks for that Alex, what a lot of work 👍

Well done 👏👏👍🌟
