I’m not sure where she’s getting her info, Chipolte hasn’t been fresh since like 2012 they use the exact same presliced prepackaged tomatoes as Taco Bell. All of their meat except chicken is precooked and delivered to the restaurant to be warmed and served (that includes the steak) their red and green salsa are shipped in premade as well as both their black and pinto beans oh and that lime flavor in the rice that’s from concentrate.
I don’t know if this means anything is bad for you or not….. I don’t really understand nutrition in the slightest, but I do understand the word fresh and I don’t think there’s a single item on the menu (besides lettuce) that doesn’t have at least one preprocessed ingredient in it. I worked there for two years and basically survived on just chipotle but it’s definitely not fresh.

I like going to get a lamb gyro every once in a while, theres a lovely greek family in the area and they hold it down tbh, they got a lil spot down the road but they pitch a food tent at events like on the 4th of july and stuff down by the riverside or whatever off main when everyones being festive. Its a treat.

Part 2 with Whole Foods. I use the app Seed Oils Scout to see what restaurants near me don't use seed oils. Found one 4hr away from me lol. You should interview the mind behind it. He was interviewed in a podcast somewhere.

Oh I can’t even imagine how amazing that would be!! I currently am single and all my best friends are married, so I rarely eat out. I don’t even enjoy the stress of making sure I don’t eat something wrong - I’d rather splurge at the grocery store and make myself a fancy meal.

Great segment. Ghee butter is delicious. My ex dumped me for gaining weight, and then I lost it all instantly on a minimal ghee toast/waffle/etc diet for a few weeks where I just have a slice or two before class with tons of butter, then cry and go to sleep when I get home. She's still gone forever though. When I read books where someone's friend or gf dies, I still feel the pain like it was yesterday, even though I was just dumped and it's totally different from someone dying or whatever. Great segment though. I'm surprised you didn't mention that Subway bread has to be classified as cake in lots of European countries because there's so much sugar, etc. Maybe I'll eat at Panera and Chipol-te more often even though everything is overpriced and I can just eat plain rice at home and cry instead for way cheaper.

    W for chipotle!!
Ok but genuine question: Can you explain what is so bad about seed oils?
Also, isn’t it a fallacy that having things you can’t pronounce is bad? Like, everything has a chemical makeup, some things are listed as that because maybe they don’t have a common name. Water is literally “Dihydrogen Monoxide” (H2O). I feel like research into the effects of certain ingredients, rather than “Ooo scary name” and “Ooo it’s also used in this non-edible thing (even though millions of people clearly are fine consuming it in this edible thing)” seems a little shallow to me.
