Ars finally experienced how scary Rietz is first hand lol
I like the mini-arc involving Rosell the strategist kid in these last two episodes. Last episode Mirelle was assigned to tutor him and instead had him running laps. Rosell was like "I'm a strategist! Why do I need to run?!" I had to remind myself that Rosell was still a kid and inexperienced in many ways because I immediately spotted the flaw in this. I would've said to him, "Because a day may come when your strategies fail and you'll be forced to run from an advancing army. Or an enemy will send assassins after you to try and weaken Ars's influence and you'll be forced to flee." Fortunately the way this mock battle played out quickly made Rosell realize this on his own.
a 7 or 8 episode prologue followed by chaotic good arc so we can get to the world building to get ars to emporer. and yes, their "women" are scary. looking forward to a season 2
It's a close race but probably my favourite thing about this story is that almost all isekai grant the MC some ridiculous appraisal type skill that lets them identify objects and see the stats of others, and very rarely does the story acknowledge how ridiculously powerful that ability by itself actually is.
I think that when a character already has some insanely cracked abilities aside from that, appraisal seems more like a useful little subskill in their arsenal from that perspective. If I can flick my fingers and half a buliding is destroyed, knowing some else's abilities doesn't matter.
Side note: I do so love that these the characters in this show are op, but with realistic weaknesses. Charlotte's magic is cracked, but she has little to no physicality and can be hurt by physical weapons/ brute force. The little boy strategist rosell is a genius, but he has no way to attack so he's defenceless by himself. Ritsu and mireille are both very well-rounded physical Combatants, yet they could do nothing against a mage or against projectiles.
Her grin when she talks about Ars becoming emperor plus her ambition feels like the seed for some kind of intramural conflict.
Rosell fears both women now. Charlotte will be chasing him with a fireball to make him run.
Charlotte and Rosell almost give me "Don't toy with me Miss. Nagatoro" vibes, Charlotte definitely has fun teasing him and he seems to give off "unsure nerd" vibes. Give them a few years and who knows where their interactions may go.
I just love how Mireilla just instantly is well aware of Ars with hey kid the sky is the absolute limit attitude making this really good argument for him to show ambition himself as a lord. Looks after his people, insane eye for talent. Yeah sure at this moment in time Ars isn't exactly a capable lord he's still a kid, he has all the promise in the world due to the changes Ars made to the house retainers, the house military is extremely competent with the drills they do stuff like that, leaders like Charlotte, Reitz, insane strategists like Rosell. It's already apperant to Couran that his best shot at victory is leaning on Ars and his skill. S2 will be awesome, this season surprised me for sure I never expected to enjoy it as much as I have.
I'm so happy we're getting more of this show it deserves it!!! Speaking of trying them all I just got done binging New Gate and I was really impressed with that one its really good! I didn't think I would be binging that today it just happened lol. Gotta wait for last episode now.
Honestly, I hope we get a full adaptation of this series because the story is so well done with Ars constantly gathering really interesting characters in his service while overcoming obstacles in wars and politics with their help.
Great series, I hope we get season 3. Looking forward to see where they go with this. There have been so many tactic shows that never continued.

It was a hell of a fun ride for a "prologue to introduce the whole main cast", season 2 being announced right away is a nice news.
I'm glad Mireille found her place bringing her crazy mommy energy to the main cast, even tho everyone acknowledge her they still hate her for slacking off 😅
Also poor Rosell is either being bullied or physically assaulted by 2 different pairs of huge bazoonkas that I dunno if he should feel lucky or not. 🤣
Anyway love the characters, season 2 hype, show is a treat to watch.

The only guy who would I (maybe) change in the team is the promotion guy, bcs this one really hit the spot for me. I dont wanna let this go either, but knowing there will be more in fall really makes me happy and hyped up. Its a pity that most ppl just want action and cool moves/magic so these kind of shows entering the battle for views with handicap.

What if MC is actually Op he just dont know his stats
If he know his stats he knows what to do, how to train,what to focus etc.

As a long time gamer on Koei titles, it a surprising welcome that actually closely tie certain audiences.
Love this serious and it’s plot in terms of Charlotte 😂. But salon all seriousness the story is well done and Ars as character well written. He is not op but others help him to be best version they could be and they do the same for him.
Can’t wait for more episodes of this series.

Judging by the thumbnail it looks more like "peaks" anime...
I dropped this show after episode 5 or 6 because it hit too close to home for me, and I wasn't in the best mental state at the time. But I think I might give it another try.
I am not exactly happy with how jumpy, panicky, and limp Ars can be at times.
But other than that, I loved this show. *And, I am really looking forward to the next one.*
Ars needs to grow a bit taller learn how to fight like Rietz to some extent plus go to battle well ahead of anything related to the emperor arc. Feels like it's moving fast

Maybe a hot take: I think Rietz would've been the better main character. I really enjoyed seeing him on the battlefield with ars' father and their dynamic together and thought that it was much more interesting. Don't get me wrong, I really like Ars as the MC, but Rietz and that side of things is more interesting to me.
So, season 1 covers about 2 volumes of the light novels, correct?

It wasn't the best Isekai i ever watched... but i also didn't hate it... the only thing that really bothered me was what they did to Charlottes Plot... i mean it just looks Stupid to be completely honest with my personal opinion about it

Nah idk how anyone thinks this show was good, its low-tier mid at best. I've watched the entire season and both the main character, side characters and world building is extremely lacking.
