Fun fact if you didn't know already, Inuyasha's creator also made Ranma 1/2 and urusei yatsura, Inuyasha having its sequel anime air a bit ago, and Urusei Yatsura having a remake last year as well

Inu Yasha is by the same manga artist that wrote Urusei Yatsura(and Ranma 1/2, Maison Ikkoku or Rinne) . And a reboot of urusei yatsura is currently airing.

The reason I know how to speak Japanese today is because of Inuyasha. I used to sing Change the World (incorrectly) when I was a kid, and my dad would tell me to stop singing it if I don't know the meaning because it could have a bad meaning. So I learned Japanese. I was 9 at the time. I've been fluent since high school.
BTW, you should give Angel beats a try. It's a must watch, at least once. But bring tissues. I would put it on my "Anime masterpiece that I only like to watch ONCE".

Inuyasha Op is really nostalgic bcus it's the first anime that i watched around the year 2003/2004
I would prefer Shaman King OP (2001), School Rumble OP (2004), Fate/Zero OP (2010), Beelzebub OP (2011), Oreimo OP (2013), Konosuba OP (2016), Koi to Uso OP (2017), Violet Evergarden OP (2018), Kaguya-sama: Love is War OP (2019), Kaguya-sama: Love is War S2 OP (2020), Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy OP (2021), Ya Boy Kongming OP (2022). For 2005, I don't remember what anime around that year that had banger OP. The rest on that video are acceptable.

You knew a bunch of deep cuts, like Candy Candy, but you never heard of Fist of the North Star (1984 entry)? Not sure how the show holds up today, but it's definitely a milestone in anime history. Also, it's where "Omae Wa Mou Shindeiru" meme comes from. :)

The hit of nostalgia for this one was crazy. My favorite anime is Aot but Tokyo ghoul opening is easily my favorite opening
Oishi No Ko is unreal and would do very well for views/likes/subs. Written by the guy that did Kaguya-Sama: Love is War. If you haven't seen Kaguya. . . .well not saying to react that would be great, but watch it on you own time. Greatest Rom-com ever put to paper and screen.

For Oshi No Ko, do NOT read any synopsis/summaries, or study the opening in any detail because it is a big-ass spoiler for the first episode, which is why the anime only uses an opening afterwards. That said, while the first episode is long, it is a very memorable Experience. (And one that you probably would want to have as a reaction video.)
In regards to great openings.. there's some in the list that I listen to to this day. There are other amazing ones that weren't listed that I feel come up short: Darker than Black, No Game No Life (OK, that one might be slightly overvalued because the soundtrack as a whole is amazing), some of the other One Piece openings which tends to have bangers of quite a few genres, Read or Die, Noir, etc.
There's also some amazing movies with memorable openings / soundtracks, but I feel this list is really focused on series. (And they probably can't win in popularity against something that airs predictable over a long period and catches a lot of nostalgic vibes due to it.)
i literaly grew up on TOONAMI every week and stayed up super late to watch InuYasha and bleach .. its my top 2 favorites of all time god watching them for the first time was the best memories
Dungeon Meshi, 2023-2024, both openings. Just absolute comfy and heartwarming, and Bump of Chicken did the first, which hits a nostalgia centre in my brain from Tails of the Abyss nearly 20 years ago. Also agreed, this list made a lot more sense, and I didn't find myself doubting any one choice. Shame Fullmetal Alchemist didn't show up at all, but also not too surprising I guess.

8:11 I first watched code geass when I was 26…In the environment I was in and the people I hung out with I didn’t really mess with anime…But I become cool with dude who did…After completing code geass I started watching anime heavily ever since and kinda dragged me out of some dangerous situations.

1984 is a classic. It's a big influence on stuff like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
Edit: 10000% watch Oshi no Ko. The opening is really good and the show is even better. One of my all time favorites.
80s anime opening is really good tho..it has city pop and rock in the op
as an Asian from Asia that watch anime from 80s 90s, i already can tell this list is make by Western, if you look at Asia version will be very diffrent

Can u please react to my type-moon all openings playlist it’s the strongest franchise in anime with their base abilities giving them immeasurable speed. & my power scaling playlist is all the proof we need, me essay playlist also proves it has the best written characters in anime especially in the girl aspect.(something shonen struggles with) Like generic anime channel’s shirou vid, it’s billion$ budget & ufotable even come together to give us peak animation of any year they drop or period. It’s also the lotr of anime with lore on lore & galore.

1999 i prefer Digimon Adventure opening but i know One Piece OP1 is slightly more popular.
2012 i prefer Fate/Zero OP2 but i know its nowhere near top of popularity.
2019 is the craziest year for openings and endings. I have to mention The Promised Neverland, Vinland Saga and Domestic Girlfriend.

Space was popular because of the space race just before the 70s. The first moon lander had Japanese technology on it although most of it was American. It started a big space craze in Japan trying to create new technology for space.
You need to get over this nude shyness thing as in Japan it’s seen as nothing more than everyday. They don’t have the same sense of embarrassment the west does. They like to capture what is correct ok and draw it right. Heck even adult comics don’t phase them.
