Sounds like a nice brew. After I finish my Australian series I think I will start looking at Canadian flavours. Nice review, thanks for the inspiration.
As a newbie i have not yet tried a Coopers kit yet, you've inspired me to try one. Btw; loving your channel, you've got the balance just right for me. A lot of the US channels are too polished or on the verge of being an advert. Also you use METRIC which makes a lot more sense to me being British 😊
Thank you very much for the feedback and happy to hear you like my content. The Coopers kits were on sale here recently and I bought a few cans. There will be a few more extract home brew videos getting posted over the coming weeks. When it gets cooler here, I will make a few all grain beers again.
Good night I'm talking, writing from Brazil. And I would like to know which IBU the percentage of bitterness in this beer. I will buy one Thank you! Hugs from the beer friend from Brazil.
The bitterness for this beer is approximately 27 IBUs.this is calculated by the kit bitterness (420) multiplied by the weight of extract in kgs (1.7) divided by the volume in litres (21) minus 20% bitterness losses during fermentation.
Hi Sam, my starting gravity was 1.042 and finished gravity was 1.010, which is 4.2%abv, with an approximation on the keg conditioning bumping it up to 4.4%abv. Keep in mind I only make my beers to 21L. Which yeast strain did you use?
@@jaysbeerchannel5873 I just used the packet yeast from the extract can, I brewed it to 20 litres. My starting gravity was 1.038 and finished was 1.010 which is actually 3.6%
@@samlynch6219 there are a few variables that go with that result. What did you use for your fermentables? Coopers Brew enhancer #? Do you have a calibrated hydrometer/refractometer? When did you take your starting gravity? and did you take it from the top or bottom of your fermenting vessel? What result are you hoping for regarding alcohol content?
@@jaysbeerchannel5873 I used brew enhancer 3, I took the reading just before I pitched the yeast from the bottom of my fermenting bucket and I'm not sure about the hydrometer it is just one I bought from Big W. I was hoping for around 4.2% Thanks for the help mate I appreciate it.

@@jaysbeerchannel5873 great looking forward to it
Seems like a nice drop that one, wouldn't mind trying it one day. Unfortunately they don't really stock the Canadian Blonde here in NZ. cheers.
Thanks mate. Happy brewing.

Hey mate, what percentage of alcohol did you get. I have fermented a coopers Canadian blonde and only got 3.7%.
Thanks for the video mate.
