The Giants drafted Barkley with the 2nd pick of the draft. Now they have a much smarter strategy - build the team from the inside out. Their o-line has been the worst in the league for several years and their d-line pushed around a lot of it as well. So I think they were right to not give big money to a RB (and Barkley has been hurt a lot as a matter of fact) and give it to linemen.
Bruh they had 6 years after that day and they still screwed up year after year with drafting players and signing players. Stop lying to yourself please. I am a giants fan just stop
@@wafflepvp5493 Exactly. They had a chance to build a team when they had Saquon and Odell. I'm an Eagles fan but that was the perfect offensive pairing, all they had to do was upgrade their offensive line.

Misspoke, would have been Saquon's rookie year. Guy just turned 27, should have a couple big seasons left in him. Giants are really over a barrel with that Daniel Jones contract.
They can cut him after this season with minimal cap hit!

Giants made an offer to him last year that wasn't too far off, he he wanted to be a "Giant for life" he would've taken, hope he plays well in the half season Philly will have, love all these media personalities getting on Giants, we'll see.
Barkley made $48,692,750 from the Giants and averaged 12.33 games per year for 6 years. He did well with the G-Men and should not have an attitude against the team that picked him #2 in the draft when he didn't deserve it.
Since Toney & BRADBERRY cost PHI a Super Bowl…
Now Saquon is possibly the missing piece to PHI that can push them ahead of SF, DET, GB, DAL….
Then hopefully enough to win the whole CHIP.

No they didn't. 🙄 They eventually agreed to a one-year, $11M contract. If they'd offered him what the Eagles did, let alone more as you claim, he'd have stayed in NY.

"Fake news"? Saquon himself has said that wasn't the case, that there was nowhere near the same guaranteed money, and every NFL analyst has said that the Giants weren't willing to pay Saquon his market value. Perhaps you should do your own homework?

I'm seeing a lot of comments from Giants fans wishing him the best, just not against the Giants. Barkley is a terrific player and great guy but he ain't worth that contract on a team that is not very good.

Look I'm a Giants fan all the way and I never disrespect any other team in the NFL. Chris Long is right about NYG offensive line. Realistically it's been awful. Straight up trash. And I'm so happy for Saquan going to a better team that's competitive with a pro bowl caliber offensive line. It's going to be amazing to see him play. Good for him getting the contract he got and getting payed. Its about time. I think about Barry Sanders who had a bad offensive line compared to Emmit Smith in the 90s who had a stellar line for the Cowboys. If Barry Sanders had that offensive line he would of broke every record. Night and day difference. Nobody should complain about Barkley moving on to another team even for the Eagles. Good for them. I hope they win another Superbowl with Saquan. Ive never been a person who dogs others. In the NFL it's business and if you forgot, NFL stands for Not For Long. Get all the money 💰 you can while you can. For running backs your fortunate to be in the NFL 4 to 7 years.

Barkley has played six seasons and only two of those were worth a damn. He is good when he is healthy, but he is prone to injury. Very prone.

Barkley will be injured and only play 5 or 6 games . Two of them will be against the Giants and Saquon will get 500 yards in total offense and score at least 5 touchdowns.
