I am a toyota man but how can you not appreciate these suv's? My buddy has 2 of them so I am done research now for a conversion. I am so excited back when ford built amazing products. I do not understand why they stop making these in 05? It is one tough truck/suv. The room inside these rivals anything coupled with the diesel makes for a truly reliable vehicle. My buddy has 400k and it needs tyres, brakes, battery bahaha
They’ve actually dyno’d a stock 7.3 with only a TS performance tuner and it made 300ish power at the wheels in the 140 hp tune. Unless you have supporting mods like bigger turbo/ injectors you probably won’t realize the full 140 hp. I have 180/30 FFD injectors and GTP38R turbo with HYDRA chip and it makes 428 hp and 878 torque and the butt dyno says it makes WAY power than just a chip/tuner.

My goal is to stay with stock 2003 split shots but Hutch mod Banjo boots Fuel and head cross overs Upgraded hpop 4" straight pipe exhaust Open intake manifolds 20 lb waste gate Fuel bowl mod removing restriction Cold air intake Hydra canned tunes Again keeping the stock split shots.. what's the torque I can have for towing #8k - #12k loads..

I want to make the maximum amount of torque for towing... I want a work built 7.3.. my goal is 700lb of torque with the stock split shots.... Is this possible with what I listed previously
@@camposvazquez I would never put stock injectors in a powerstroke, and they are all old enough to need injectors now. there is no point to a split shot if you need injectors.
Yea there's no way it's making near those numbers. I have 238/80's and a 66/73 turbo and wouldnt expect a dyno to tell me that number. Also, drop the TS and get a hydra. Beautiful truck either way.
Nice power plant...I've got a 2001 7.tree f2shity with over 860 thousand miles...its got 600 horse power and over 1000 ft lbs of torque...13 letter shitspreader INTERNATIONAL best diesel ever made. Been driving it for 23 years now...wouldn't trade it for a rocket ship...still stroking and purrs like a kitten 😸...
Yea and your pistons will break in half have bigger injectors in mine and bigger turbo I hate my 7.3 my 6.0 will walk all over my 7.3 and trying to tow with the 7.3 the egts get way to high 7.3 is not worth it own my truck for 18 years o and had to put 7500 in the transmission so it would last longer than a 100.000 miles junk

I am gonna try so hard to do a conversion kit and maybe buy one myself. This is when ford built amazing products. I think ford should have advertised these differently. Such a shame they quit making these in 05. I had a Seqouia with 3rd row seats, but this has so much room its ridiculous how do you not like it?.
The Ford Excursion was one of Fords better ideas. But the hot shots that ran Ford at the time buckled under the greenies weak objections. This truck gets the same mileage as a regular truck. The truck is well inside any EPA fake regulations and is safer to have the family riding in than the greenies world of smart cars. These trucks pollute 1,000 % less than the Hollywood elites jets when they travel to their parties. So Ford get a back bone bring back the Excursion, it’s a better idea than a mini van or that brain fart called the Flex. This is why the Excursion is the best of two worlds between a pickup and aSUV. It’s does the same and has very comfortable seats and ride, which will take ya anywhere ya point the truck pulling what ever you have to pull. I’ve owned one for 23 years and it’s a keeper!
I love the color I am working on getting her dialed in first but that’s what I color I want. I love it. Mine currently is the same color red. Currently rebuilding the front end and about to put in the new springs as well
I love it great job. If you ever do a turbo upgrade , go the Gtp38r but swap the 1.0ar turbine housing from it and put the stock .84ar housing on and you will not be disappointed. The almost instant spool up is insane and the whistle nothing even matches it. KC 300x turbos are good but they will never spool as fast as Garrett ball bearing.

Stock turbo and injectors are not putting him at 415 hp... There isnt enough nozzle especially with those split shots.

I know it’s easy to say how much power u got 7.3 has no power even with a tune own a 7.3 hard to get power out of that motor

Nice video, but kinda vague on what was done to the engine to squeeze out that much power. No way the tune alone gets you to 770ft-lbs of torque.
You’re correct in the diesel world it’s usually 1hp/2ft-bs. It’s not exactly perfect but close. So stick they are 250/440 I think.

They are actually 08-16 mirrors. Just put them on mine. If you have the limited you need to wire in turn and running lights
