this is interesting, but hurts. so he decided to stop loving me and gave up on me 6 months ago today. mid sentence he stopped loving me. life got hard, and he cast me aside like i was nothing. i would never have given up on him. i still have true love for him, but he decided someone else was better. im slowly working on myself. i wish i could turn off my love as easily as he did, it wouldnt hurt this much.

And he didn't think about me this way. However, when we spent time together we were very connected, I felt his need for affection, his happiness to be close to me. And when we broke up after one year and a half, he said he felt trapped and needed to experiment more with other people, but he cried a lot and I know it was hard for him too. I finally accepted the breakup, but I still love him.. and I wonder every day about his true feelings for me. Is there any way to tell if a love avoidant really did love a person? Is it possible to make them open their heart and speak the truth?
