At least make the low 200 lumens , or better 1600 - 500 - 60. Sustained Medium mode is a must for a duty light like this, the Low 60 lm is good for checking id, read maps or recon
A flashlight with such a power concentration is not suitable for maps. There would have to be a 10-15lm mode with this reflector, which still gives a small dot in the middle. I have a Fenix C7 flashlight with 3000lm and a range that is several dozen meters shorter. So at 1800lm the beam must be VERY focused. For map reading, it's a flood light. Maybe even a keychain or a headlamp like Petzl Tikkina /Tactikka, Tikka - just as an example of a flood light.
Interesting flashlight for sure and a step into the right direction (two modes, removable batt, USB C port, small enough to carry for EDC) but I think I'll stick to my grey Acebeam Tac AA (1000 lumens) for now. I seldom need more range than the Acebeam delivers and when I do, I already have a Nitecore MH-12 Pro and a MH-12 SE. Thanks for making the video, very informative 😃
Does this light have any form of battery indicator? Since you can't just top it up frequently without the rigamarole unscrewing the tail cap and plugging in the battery, at least knowing the state of charge at a glance would be helpful.
So far for value of the money and well balanced edc flashlight for me is sofirn sc32 compact, simple and have 4 level of brightness also moonlight mode
Now this is something i could buy, looks good for the size just hope its not crazy price for it like nitecore likes to charge Also second test the 1st house u sure its 300 something meters away? As the next test is 200m and seems way further
No it’s just the flashlight enthusiast community on Reddit that thinks that, they say “for the features you’re getting it costs too much” but I actually don’t want all the crazy features and side switches 5+ different modes, I want simple on and off, 2 or 3 modes max and a high throw, the note cores provide that and they looo good (there’s a few other options that do it for slightly cheaper but they’re ugly af imo)
Bought it already, thank you Nitecore for making this flashlight! My favorite was Olight M1T Raider and we need more low-high/high-low only flashlight! Thanks Nitecore for always listening us and providing many options to choose! 💯💯💯💯💯💯
@@zampination But it seems like the high steps down relatively quickly to about half, in like 30 seconds., then steadily down to 650lm I suppose that could be "a third output available". hehe Thanks for the reply. I have an Olight that is only two outputs that I do like, so I suppose I'm not opposed to that UI, now that I remember that one. For this light in the video, it just seems like the output levels are so different. Low is really low. Anyway, thanks again.
Memory mode would be pointless. Imagine you wanted to turn it on and forgot that it was on max, and it's dark and you get electrocuted lol. In this case, it is better to turn it on from the low level. Although I think that a flashlight with two modes is a completely unnecessary product

Yeah, low is too dim and high too hot!

Low 60 - medium 500 - high 1800 best combination brightness level for edc flashlight hope nitecore listen
Mine arrived a few days ago. This makes 30 Nitecore flashlights for me so far. I love their products.

3:02 hell yeah… that’s numbers I like.. low lumens high throw..
I have this torch and love it but I do wish the low was 200 to 300 lumens, this would stop my using the high mode which is crazy bright.
Oooh yeah, here comes proprietary LED green tint
How much duv? All of it…
This is a patent like SST40 and SST70. But nitecore also have a patent such as SST20, which is yellowish lol
@@jackblock7451 😂
I like the Wuben hotspot way better
@@johnlimpkin for throwy lights, less flood makes it easier to see down range. But.. you lose up close function on low modes.
C'est ma 101 ème flaslight acquise de chez Nitecore 😅👍 bonne EDC
No strobe option

NITECORE just say to charge it when the output is dim!

mtfkr !!! Loved the ending hahahaha
I'll stick with my Surefire EDC2-DFT, thanks for the video though! 👍
Thanks, I hope Surefire send me one for review one day, would be interesting.
Pricey
@@muhdizai worth it, great quality and a lifetime warranty.
@@EverydayBladeCollector yeah 👍🏼
Umm, i tought you measured 1600+ lumens on convoy s2+ and 1940 or something like that on trunite tn12 pro, something changed?
Yeah, different box, original was about 8% too high, measurements, or alterations are in the video descriptions.
Folomov 18860M might be better. Gonna buy it to compare
Кнопка в торце - крайне неудобно для edc .

*120m, I was gonna film at the Church but decided not to.
All Nitecores are overpriced
Facts?
Not so much 😅

How come you like two modes? I really needed 200 lumens for a dark walk.
Damn i miss my flashaholic days, been thinking about using my father's day gift card for a new one. 😅
Honestly, for a new light from Nitecore, it is odd that they only have two light levels, and no memory mode.
It's great that they do that! love this Ui.

@@DRayL_At this size I doubt it holds 650lm. I prefer 400, max 500
