If You are a true fan of Jennifer Holliday, You'll know that her background is in the church...and when she came to Broadway, she starred in Your Arms Are Too Short To Box With God which was a gospel musical...she did exceptionally well. Moved on to Dreamgirls...became the star of the show...which was because of her gospel-infused sound & vocals. So I said that to say, If & when you give Jennifer Holliday that right song to belt(personally I feel with a gospel flavor to it), she's going to cut loose and give you what you want.
