    I wanted to say thank you for all of the knot videos you have done, not just this one. They have really helped me to stand out from crowds, which is what being successful is all about! I made a playlist of a bunch of knots from you and Linwood's channels that I want to master, and hope to gain more from the both of you! Keep up the great work and thank you again!

    another great knot Alex. I have enjoyed using most of these and keeping it fresh. I have church members who like to come and check my knot to see which one I have tied each Sunday. This is another that I will add to the rotation. Thanks again for making ties fun again!

    Very similar to WhoSeesThis's Saturn knot. Differences I noticed: 1) He built the base a bit differently by crossing the middle instead of looping each side separately, which actually does seem to angle the tongue to the side a bit, it's a very subtle and neat effect. 2) He doesn't tuck through at the end, he creates a crease in the tie on both sides and lays it over the top of the knot which rounds it all even more. Both knots are sweet, check that other one out for a cool variation.

    Hey Alex,
    Just wanted to say your videos are totally awesome and I'll be rocking one of your tie styles that I learned to make here for my wedding on November 1st! Funny cuz I was at my fiance's house, and she was "getting ready" and took over an hour to come out, eventhough I was all ready to go. So I started watching random youtube videos. Then I thought "Hmmmm, I wonder how to make a fancier tie". And bingo, I stumbled onto your videos! Since then, my friends ALWAYS complement me on my new ties. They always ask me "Where do you learn to make these?!?" And I point them to your channel. But yeah man. Really awesome. I'm thinking of the Eldredge knot for my wedding or this one one or the merovengian tie since I'm wearing a vest.
    Thanks again!

      Look for a contrast knot tie on eBay and Amazon. The blade end of the tie is a pattern and the tail is solid. They are great as a Windsor, Trinity, Eldredge, or now this knot. I own three of them.

  • @ArrogantDan
    @ArrogantDan 10 лет назад +1

    Okay, so this is undoubtedly the prettiest knot I've seen from you in a while Alex, but am I the only one who, when making a new knot, doesn't use the Eldredge formula of little-end knot, triangled and spiralled until something passable happens at the end? The tulip is a little different from how most people ruin this concept, 'cause you are left with slack, and not just a unmanoeuvrable lump, big enough to worry your Adam's apple. Still... It's nice when I see people making up knots like yours, Linwood's, and I guess to a degree, Eliot Truelove's.

    Hey Alex,
    I have an event coming up next month for my fraternity, and I got a tie with a different pattern on the small end to tie a knot like this one, but would this particular knot be acceptable at a semi-formal coat-and-tie-mandatory event? If not, which other knot would you recommend for a tie like that?
