I wanted to say thank you for all of the knot videos you have done, not just this one. They have really helped me to stand out from crowds, which is what being successful is all about! I made a playlist of a bunch of knots from you and Linwood's channels that I want to master, and hope to gain more from the both of you! Keep up the great work and thank you again!
Greetings, Alex! I just wanted you to know that I wore the Tulip Knot yesterday at my friend's Kentucky Derby party, and it was compliments galore! Everybody loved it! I can't get enough of your knot videos. Many Thanks and Cheers!
another great knot Alex. I have enjoyed using most of these and keeping it fresh. I have church members who like to come and check my knot to see which one I have tied each Sunday. This is another that I will add to the rotation. Thanks again for making ties fun again!
It's become a morning ritual for me to check your RUclips feed and find a new knot to try out for my new job. I don't know if management is picking up on them, but I go into work feeling much more stylish, so thank you!
I always love to wear fun different knots on difficult days, like for exams. It just gives me a boost of confidence, that at least one thing has gone really well today. I'm sure that's some kind of positive psychology. Thanks!
Came across this video on Twitter. Now I see all the other videos! The game has changed and I feel I've been missing out all these year! Thanks for posting such great artistry!
Very similar to WhoSeesThis's Saturn knot. Differences I noticed: 1) He built the base a bit differently by crossing the middle instead of looping each side separately, which actually does seem to angle the tongue to the side a bit, it's a very subtle and neat effect. 2) He doesn't tuck through at the end, he creates a crease in the tie on both sides and lays it over the top of the knot which rounds it all even more. Both knots are sweet, check that other one out for a cool variation.
Hey Alex, Just wanted to say your videos are totally awesome and I'll be rocking one of your tie styles that I learned to make here for my wedding on November 1st! Funny cuz I was at my fiance's house, and she was "getting ready" and took over an hour to come out, eventhough I was all ready to go. So I started watching random youtube videos. Then I thought "Hmmmm, I wonder how to make a fancier tie". And bingo, I stumbled onto your videos! Since then, my friends ALWAYS complement me on my new ties. They always ask me "Where do you learn to make these?!?" And I point them to your channel. But yeah man. Really awesome. I'm thinking of the Eldredge knot for my wedding or this one one or the merovengian tie since I'm wearing a vest. Thanks again!
Look for a contrast knot tie on eBay and Amazon. The blade end of the tie is a pattern and the tail is solid. They are great as a Windsor, Trinity, Eldredge, or now this knot. I own three of them.
thanks for sharing. I don't know if someone already mention that you can also pass the thin end thru the rear of the loop instead of hiding it under the collar and it seems more practical. Just my POV thanks
Alex, I wanted to thank you for all the cool tie knot posts you put up! I have worn several of them to events and always get complements. I have done the Trinity, Eldredge, Merovingian, and the Krasny Hourglass. The Tulip looks absolutely amazing! I can't wait to try it. Do you have a good source for 2 tone ties?
I think I invented a new new knot, I haven't seen it yet any where. What do I do with my idea, do I out It on RUclips and how do I make sure on one takes credit?
Okay, so this is undoubtedly the prettiest knot I've seen from you in a while Alex, but am I the only one who, when making a new knot, doesn't use the Eldredge formula of little-end knot, triangled and spiralled until something passable happens at the end? The tulip is a little different from how most people ruin this concept, 'cause you are left with slack, and not just a unmanoeuvrable lump, big enough to worry your Adam's apple. Still... It's nice when I see people making up knots like yours, Linwood's, and I guess to a degree, Eliot Truelove's.
alex.. love the videos.. Do you have a brand of tie you can recommend where the tail is solid color versus the face of the tie?? Or does anyone else on this thread have a suggestion.
Hey Alex, I have an event coming up next month for my fraternity, and I got a tie with a different pattern on the small end to tie a knot like this one, but would this particular knot be acceptable at a semi-formal coat-and-tie-mandatory event? If not, which other knot would you recommend for a tie like that?
+WeirdAlSuperFan All of my ties that are like this are Tommy Hilfigure ties that I picked up at TJMaxx for $15 a piece. I have never seen them anywhere else, and unfortunately I have no good source of contrast ties.
This is a Tommy Hilfigure brand tie. I purchased it at TJMaxx. Not sure how else you can get it except to catch it in the wild. Vinyard Vines sells print ties almost exclusively but they are $60+
Hey there is a channel everyone here should watch if you're interested in knots, it's called Patrick Novotny he has tons of knots, really helpful also he doesn't have much of a fan bad so help him out! Awesome knot Kransy I wore it to my church and everyone loved it!
Donnovan Mason its not to get views for someone else, dont get me wrong Krasney is my favorite go-to channel for neckties, he goes through all the steps better than anyone else i have seen, but its just if you're interested in something that isnt on this channel then Patrick's channel is only a suggestion.
Bailey Lang i understand that, im just saying it's like saying that, I have $1M to give and you have $1M to give, but come to me and i will give you more.
Alex, I think I created two knots but my video/teaching skills are no where near as good as yours. I want to share them, so would you like to make the video tutorials?
Although I'm a 14 year old that does not own a suit nor a tie, I just watched all your how to tie videos. Well, I guess I'll be back in 7 years.
You can start suiting up at 18!
Alex Krasny Guess you're right. I'll go watch the cape again in 4 years then. My favorite.
+Michael Wentworth Im 15 and i love learning these knots, just go out and buy a collar shirt and tie!
James Steinmetz
(15 now) I don't have that kind of money to spend
Thanks!

when i was in junior high these videos helped me look nice soooooo often. glad i found you again

I've been wearing this one for almost a year now and didn't know what it was called. Thanks for the help, Alex! Looks awesome.
I've mastered 4 of your knots and loving it! Gives me more selection! Keep em comin
I love these knots. Not something I'd wear to an interview but definitely get comments at social functions.
Very, very nice! What a way to stand out from the rest and still look conservative.
I work at a bridal store these unique knots are perfect to keep things interesting
Krasny always rockin' the badass ties my good man.
This knot looks quite classy for an effect knot :O
Awesome! Thanks alex, just learned it just gotta find the right tie to use for it! I might post a pic if it when I'm done! Have a great day!

Thanks for the analysis! Even more astute than me. I thought it was the same O_o
This is a lovely knot! Looking forward to trying it out.
Looks great & it is not one you see every day, I´ve got to try that. Thanks for sharing.
LOVE this knot, Alex!!! As always, thanks for doing it without pants :-)
Hey Alex,

Thanks alot! Glad you are rocking these knots.
You are getting married on my birthday
Good job, Alex! And this tie looks very nice! :)
Thanks Dude, wearing it for my school photos
Gotta love the engine turbans
Love this, Alex. Thanks for the share. I've been wearing the Peekaboo for a while but this is MUCH nicer. Classy, man.
È bellissimo Alex! Complimenti!
I was just curious that tie works in a lot of knots i was wondering what kind of tie is it and where did you find it?
Look for a contrast knot tie on eBay and Amazon. The blade end of the tie is a pattern and the tail is solid. They are great as a Windsor, Trinity, Eldredge, or now this knot. I own three of them.
My new favorite knot.
The PEKADA knot Looks crazy!! Can you teach us how to tie that?
thanks for sharing. I don't know if someone already mention that you can also pass the thin end thru the rear of the loop instead of hiding it under the collar and it seems more practical. Just my POV thanks
how do you call this knid of tie with the small different then the big end
Hey Alex, love your channel. Just wanted to know where you got that specific tie, I love it!
Alex,
I wanted to thank you for all the cool tie knot posts you put up! I have worn several of them to events and always get complements. I have done the Trinity, Eldredge, Merovingian, and the Krasny Hourglass.
The Tulip looks absolutely amazing! I can't wait to try it.
Do you have a good source for 2 tone ties?
súper amigo desde México te sigo gracias por tus vídeos .
hey Alex, what kind of knots do you think are best for tying loosely with the first shirt button unbuttoned?
that's really cool. for a lot of these knots are you using high end ties or extra long ones? I seem to run out of tie.
Always standard ties.
Hey thank for this, looks fantastic
But can you still manage to have the tie reach your belt?
Yeah it shouldn't be a problem.
I think I invented a new new knot, I haven't seen it yet any where. What do I do with my idea, do I out It on RUclips and how do I make sure on one takes credit?
I'll do this on Valentine's Day!
Okay, so this is undoubtedly the prettiest knot I've seen from you in a while Alex, but am I the only one who, when making a new knot, doesn't use the Eldredge formula of little-end knot, triangled and spiralled until something passable happens at the end? I love that tie where did you get it?
***** Who can remember!
alex.. love the videos.. Do you have a brand of tie you can recommend where the tail is solid color versus the face of the tie?? Or does anyone else on this thread have a suggestion.
Sorry I don't have any solid sources, but I know you can pick up some slick ties at TJ Maxx or Marshalls. it's where I got all my best ones.
Alex Krasny WHERE DID YOU GET THAT TIE I LOVE IT???? PLEASE ANSWER PLEASE!!!!!
It's a tommy hilfigure brand tie, I got it at TJmaxx
Thanks Alex!!! LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!!
That's a badass knot!!!
I invented it just now! Before watching the video on tulip I was playing with trinity a bit... does it count? :D
Please make a video on how to tie a color blocked tie with this same knot :D That would be awesome!
What brand is this tie!!!?????
Hey Alex,
I have an event coming up next month for my fraternity, and I got a tie with a different pattern on the small end to tie a knot like this one, but would this particular knot be acceptable at a semi-formal coat-and-tie-mandatory event? If not, which other knot would you recommend for a tie like that?
Rob Logsdon Totally!
Really good job, Alex!! :)
Hey there. Just a FYI.. I found some 2 tone ties.. with different colored tails.. on Zazzle.com
Where do you buy these ties. i have the hardest time finding quality contrast ties
+Austin lopez-Gomez TheTieBar dot com is where I'd buy my ties. An ungodly sized stock, and great quality.
Eileen Duncan I've looked there but I don't see contrast ties. I'm specifically looking for contrast ties.
What's a reliable site to buy contrast ties besides edietty? Like where did you get this tie?
+WeirdAlSuperFan All of my ties that are like this are Tommy Hilfigure ties that I picked up at TJMaxx for $15 a piece. I have never seen them anywhere else, and unfortunately I have no good source of contrast ties.
+Alex Krasny Wow, super fast reply, thanks! That's a shame, but good to know.
I don't know if it's just the way I tied it or if it's just that way, but every once in a while I have to fix it. But overall its my favorite tie
Awesome knot but it looks like a looser version of the peekabo knot of linwood or am i wrong. Just wondering.
Hmmm you are right. I looked and this is the same.
Anyone knows where i can get same necktie or any other bright ones with small prints on it?
This is a Tommy Hilfigure brand tie. I purchased it at TJMaxx. Not sure how else you can get it except to catch it in the wild. Vinyard Vines sells print ties almost exclusively but they are $60+
I find that putting the little end in your shirt works better because then the collar doesn't bulge out
what knot is the best one to use on a wide collar
This knot is good! So is the balthus or the trinity.
what kind of tie is this!! where do I get one!
Tommy Hilfigure from TJMaxx (if you are lucky)
All of them are great! thanks a lot
Love the knot.
That's class that Alex, very smart. Only works with two tone ties though eh :P
Of course it works just fine with a regular tie also
Hey there is a channel everyone here should watch if you're interested in knots, it's called Patrick Novotny he has tons of knots, really helpful also he doesn't have much of a fan bad so help him out! Awesome knot Kransy I wore it to my church and everyone loved it!
sorry dont want to sound like a bad person, but why come to someone else's channel to get views for someone else?
Donnovan Mason It's alright, Patrick does have even more knots than me. He is a great guy.
Once you've learned the windsor, most of the other knots is pretty easy to tie.
also i still wish i could find this tie
I MUST do this!
this knots awesome i use it at school
Love this
It looks intresting
Alex, I think I created two knots but my video/teaching skills are no where near as good as yours. I want to share them, so would you like to make the video tutorials?
Okay. Attempt number 20.
I think I have the measurements down now.
amazing
cool
That's cool
So it's basically a loose trinity knot.
Jet engine knot
Definitely looks like an engine turban :p
Interesting. I don't wear turban Muslims do. Turbine has an e at the end and makes the I a full sound.
😎 cool
All my life I called it a turbine. Now I know it's called a turban, like what Sikhs wear
Turbine knot
