Ben you f***in’ rock. My son needed a tie tied and we tried so many times with so many different videos and this is the only one that was able to help us on the first try!
Thanks so much, Ben. This is a great knot, and the tutorial is top notch. The slow, detailed instructions make it work. So many others move too fast or don't explain very well. I tried this knot countless times with other videos, but this video helped me get it just right the first time through! (Edit: I have worn this knot on a few special occasions. Every time I wear it, friends and complete strangers give me compliments on it. Thanks again!!)
Interesting tie knot and I can see where it would really accent a thin striped tie. The Full (Double) Windsor has always been my personal "go to". Thanks for the video MNT, I'm always interested in learning new things.
Thank you for the incredibly easy to follow instructions for such a classy tie. Next chance I get to tie a man’s tie I’ll use this video. Or I’ll start wearing ties myself thanks again.
The first time I have ever tied this knot, I watched this video. After he was done I memorized the steps to this knot and got it on my first try! I am wearing it now!
I have a tie that has a littel tear in it, but I love it, so I wanted to tie this knot to hide it. I tried many videos and this one the only one that explained it well enough for me to do it on the first try! Thanks a lot!
I just tried this and got a nicely tied Trinity knot my first try! It was also so comfortable to wear because I didn’t need to tighten it super tight around my neck to get the knot tight, as with other knots. Thank you for the well-explained tutorial!
First of all this is an incredible looking knot, secondly thank you for posting all of your tie videos and for being so informative on how to tie each of the ties.
I may not yet be able to get the stripes of my American flag tie to meet in the middle, but I'm very happy with how fast and sucessfully I was able to learn from this video, which I watched in reverse while looking in the mirror at it :D
Fantastic video. Thank you Ben. I would like to add that in order to have the lines all together in the center of the knot you need to have the lines from right up to left down in your tie. I tried a lot and finally I realized of this fact. Thank you Ben
Finally I discovered that the trick is to start everything in the opposite way than Ben. So if your lines are going from right up to down left you need to put at the beginning of the video the long part of the tie in the opposite way than Ben. If you do this you will be able to have the lines all together in the center of the knot.
MyNiceTie I agree I just tried first time and it’s the easiest one to tie after the plain and simple four one half Windsor and full Windsor knot really nice knot I like Eldridge knot but I find it difficult to tie !
I was just messing around today and accidentally made this knot so I looked it up and voila it is a thing. Now I know hot it is supposed to be done so thank you :)
Thank you so much for this easy to follow video. I had to tie my first tie ever for a wedding and wanted something different. Everyone noticed it right away and loved it. Thanks again.
It's so cool to watch a video from 2008 and then come to this which was made just 10 days ago. You really do love ties lol! step T was excellent advice and where i have gone wrong so many times... uhhh
I tried this so many times and failed but for some reason the way you explained it, I was able to nail it on the 1st try. Thank you so much, I just subscribed too! 😀👍🏾
Where does the short end go when you're done? Do you tuck it behind? Does it go under the left collar "wing?" Inquiring minds.... Thanks for the cool instructions.
I prefer the Windsor knot and I think the Windsor also looks better. I've been tying a Windsor since my father taught my when I was about 12 years old and now, almost 60 years later, I can do it automatically with my eyes closed, comes out perfect every time with a nice notch in the tie right at the knot.
Personally, if I'm dressing up, I use a half Windsor, and if I'm dressing down, I use a four-in-hand. But I almost always wear a tie. The only exception is if it's winter and the sweater I'm wearing doesn't allow for a tie.
Epic tutorials. Why settle for being average? Even children shouldn't have to succumb to the cliche' sweater vest suits and clip on ties from Walmart. When our son needs to be dressed tight I always check out your tutorials for the finishing piece. Tonight is his 4th grade Christmas program and he will be rocking black/navy pin striped pants and vest with black shirt and a blue and black Doctor Who tie. (That thanks to you will be even more sharp with this trinity knot!) cheers!
I followed this guide for my brother's wedding. Several people complimented me on my cool tie knot.

Excellent teaching tool! I was able to complete a tight trinity knot on the first try. Many other attempts have proven to be failures. Thanks!

Happy to help.
That looks so integrate, I like it. In my current career, I don't wear ties--guess I'll have to go to a formal dinner.
Derg Enterprises You should wear a tie tomorrow just cuz you can. :)
Derg Enterprises I think you mean intricate not integrate, very different words my friend
Your ability to notice details is impeccable.
