  • The Best Solar Generator Right Now? EcoFlow Delta Pro 3: Tech Specs, Philosophy of Use & More
The EcoFlow Delta Pro 3 is very powerful, expandable and portable solar capable power station that can handle any grid down emergency. Preparedness often revolves around the grid going down as a blackout scenario can create a very austere environment. Solar generators or power stations are an excellent way to avoid disruption when the power goes out.

I went with the InergyTek Flex 1500. It has a battery heater to work in -22 degrees, and you can wire an EMP shield to the AC and DC circuits and the charge controller. With as many units as EcoFlow sent out to RUclipsrs to hock today, they should be giving away the units for half of what they want for them.

Alternative plan is to use the existing generator interlock switch and use the house circuit breaker panel as the control center to allow isolation of unnecessary zones. Dunno yet. I'm 100% off the grid. I bought Kyocera solar panels and golfcart batteries, long ago, before these were in production. I have a 2000 watt inverter and an 800 watt inverter. With 12 volt lighting 12 volt outlets and 120 volt outlets. 2 30 Amp charge controllers made by Morningstar and a breaker panel with various circuit breakers in 12 volt and 120 volt fuses.
I also have a 2000 watt champion generator that's a pure signwave as backup to main system.
Fridges are from an RV and are 2 way and 3 way. Propane 120 volt and 12 volt.
I'd like a small solar Generator, I'm looking at Bluetti, possibly. Maybe about 600 to 800 watts for evacuation purposes, or just fishing and camping for my 10ft., OD Grenn, Regatta tent, made by White Duck. It's very similar to the 10 man Arctic tent our military used.

The website shows a screenshot of the Quick-Start-Guide, Warranty-card and Safety-Guide and an FAQ. A digital version of paperwork so as to consult the documentation is presumably somewhere, and information on an FCC ID or EMC ratings, and general regulations _(including residual-current-device surge protection when being charged or doing the charging),_ would be could _(including for medical equipment interference if any)_ what with it having a computer _(or SoC or firmware capable of updates as per software too)_ built in, and then if a person uses it for medical equipment they need plugged-in always _(the sort of situation a device like that might help them in),_ they can avoid becoming unwell in a power-cut situation be it lightning or grid-down or whatever. So there might be different use cases for it keeping life going, be that human, or animal (vet or ecology) or plant and so on (or fungi, yeast) or lab. So for instance, if such a donated were bought for a poorly child in a radiologically relevant environment whereby they had a suppressed immune system in an isolation room, ensuring the device could be checked for medical cleanliness ratings _(perhaps actually not all that high but say only needing to be within food grade tolerances, depending on the needs of the patient)_ would be part of a protocol. It then means insurance documentation can display compliance if needed. If it could be taken within geographical regions, for its portability, such ratings would have different zone equivalents, like say USA CISPR22 analog to European EN 55022 EMC classification _(or Canadian, or oriental equivalents, and so forth)._
My comment has no hate in it and I do no harm. I am not appalled or afraid, boasting or envying or complaining... Just saying. Psalms23: Giving thanks and praise to the Lord and peace and love. Also, I'd say Matthew6.

Also would i have to hook up solar to both systems or just one to charge both systems. What would i need to bridge both systems together. I have a rv and having 2 systems would be ideal for being able to run my rv and to also rum my other things when I need 1 system to be disconnected and used as a mobile system and then be reconnected when traveling because I do it full time. If you need portability for camping etc these solar generators are awesome.
I’ve been living offgrid for 8 years. I’ve been designing and installing offgrid solar PV systems for 15 and you can’t beat a full system.
I see people that are “peppers” and lots of prepping channels however promoting these and saying that’s what they have for their backup power for when the SHTF. I would say thats not really the best solution. A permanently installed offgrid system with separate components (inverter, charge controller, separate batteries etc) is by far better in my opinion. Custom sized and built for the customer’s needs and lifestyle. If one component fails you can easily replace it. Yes it’s more expensive but I know a fellow that paid close to $9000 for a Bluetti with extra battery pack and had 600W of solar or something. We just installed a full system for him and it rocks. The solar generator system he had wasn’t “cutting the mustard”. Now he has 5400W of solar and 40kWh of storage. AGM batteries, much safer and way cheaper than lithium. With 60% DoD (depth of discharge) that gives them 24kWh of usable capacity. Yes a lot more money but you get what you pay for. This isn’t a backup system it’s the main power source for his house. Propane cookstove and on demand hot water. Wood heat.

my concern with EcoFlow has always been the app and wifi connectivity. why do I need my grid down emergency power supply to be able to receive firmware updates from China over wifi? why do I need to put it on my home network and connect it to my phone, in order to get use of all the features? I mean, one the most likely scenarios we are gonna need units like these for, IS a conflict with China, a cyber attack taking down the grid fully or partially, repeatedly short term or fully long term. And don't get me wrong, I know it's all made in China, but "dumb" things that are set up at factory once, hard wired and are an enclosed system make me feel a bit safer than a "smart" appliances that get updates from China and needs to connect to a bunch of my other devices, including getting on my home wifi anf requiring me to put an app on my phone. Seems a bit counter productive to trust the Chinese THIS much, no?

I'd love to be able to afford these and actually purchase a system but, that ain't gonna happen any time soon. It seems like the high price for such things fall within the definition of "gouging" because, there's no way these things should cost that much. I don't know... maybe I just don't know enough about the technology. Regardless, people in my situation or with similar financial constraints, aren't going to spend that kind of money. Oh it's not random. It's a demand which is unfortunate as I would prefer a more organic release schedule as well. To be fair, they did send thousands of dollars worth of products to a lot of people and I guess they felt that this strategy would be the best ROI for them. I've made my feelings about blitz marketing known but of course that didn't change anything. However, I do feel that these units are impressive and can really help people during a grid down scenario. Which is why I was willing to comply in order to share my findings and thought processes with those who would be interested. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I hope I was able to convey that there is more to it in the background than it may seem and we are all just trying our best to get useful information out while keeping our channels alive.

@@MagicPrepper i feel you. Send a note to them for us. Or... message each other and schedule around each other.
If their goal was to make us see the ad? We see it. And its because of their method that we dont want it now.
I dont remember the name. Because I was turned off immediately. Terrible strategy, however, thank you fir being chill about it @MagicPrepper
