For those with 4c... that 4c edge control is magic. If your hair is blow dried use yaki, if not use Marley hair. Do the feed in method for a super natural looking braid. ♡

I’m with you girl. I use a lot of gel too and I don’t care it’s needed to slick my ponytail the way I want it. I use the same method. I do the top layer then go in and part my hair to gel those parts working back up to the top. I’ve had co workers be like oh your hair it’s so cute/pretty, but I don’t like all that gel in my hair. So I say and I don’t like all that heat in my hair like when y’all press y’all hair every week or every other week 🥴. That usually shuts them up, lol. Love this! How long did it take for your hair to completely dry in the middle? I know when I do my wet slick backs it takes forever for my hair in the middle to dry.
I find that gel doesn’t slick my hair down how I would like no matter how much I slap it on. Too many fly aways. Luckily I found a cream that works and makes it slicky slick lol
i have in a glue in rn.. do u suggest i wash my hair to wash the glue out and try to slick it while its a bit damp? because my hair is super thick and i don’t wanna have to straighten it to slick it lol . i have like 3C hair

Yes! I use Marley and it looks so natural when I do two French braids or this one braid pony.
