The left hand bangs out a thrilling drum beat towards the finish. You feel like the world is going to end

This one took a while to make because of how cut it is. Please feel free to let me know if there are any errors I must correct. Thanks!

Godowsky is one of the pianists makes the "laugh effect" on scherzo's first notes with Great Arthur Friedheim

One cannot but laugh at the slowed down "rubatoicized introduction to the Dflat 2nd subject . when I first read HaroldSch book I had no ears had not had the best training so it was easy to think these men were gawds .Godowsky's Schubert discs are so phenomenl in piano coloring ,pedal ,voicing etc.we are kucky they highlight something incredible .Miraculous even but it ain't heard anywhere else in his records. Toobad. hofmann told Chasins never to forget that sound so Godowsky must have been indeed very special .I'd love to read Hofmann's letters . I only wish he had recorded more simple stuff the little sweets he left elsewhere don;t impress.
