Bro, you should check out a Jecklin disk recording setup using two omni SDC mics. It’s fantastic. Closest thing to an optimal stereo image I’ve been able to find. M/S trails as a distant second place.
@@SamGriffinGuitar Yeah it’s ace! I made a disk out of a couple pieces of eva foam mat and held everything in place with a couple magic clamps and positionable arms from SmallRig. Needed a couple camera mount to mic mount adapters for the mic mounts but it all cost like $50 not counting mics, obviously. If you want more info I could email a picture with details or something.

Man you should really make a video of how to input guitar tracks in guitar pro using your gear! There aren't any good tutorial for this, at least none with a guy sporting a guitar harness and a Godin midi guitar with a monolithic ergoplay still attached to it 🤣

Great that you spilled the beans on how most RUclipsrs record their covers and songs. It is usually not live. Many people don't show the cable being in the guitar bc it might not be or they maybe don't want to fake it. The video is usually just a dubbed performance like you said.
