Hello! Hope you catch this. I have a 2003 matrix and it had remote start but the fob broke. I’m down at the white control module but don’t see a remote starter anywhere

How come you put the green (relay wire) to your black and yellow (ignition 2)?

Hey there, hail mary here. I have a 2004 Camry with that same pro start on it. Couple questions. I bought this car this year, it's MINT but the remote start doesn't work. # 1 I didn't see you talk about the key chip immobilizer. Should that matter? As it sits my remote start won't even turn over unless a key is near the ignition. I was hoping I could just hide the valet key in the ignition plastics but my other problem is even with the key present it starts but shuts down after the gauges sweep. #2 does your tach gauge work when it remote starts? I assumed it had something to do with the tach needing to be calibrated however when it starts like this the tach gauge doesn't move at all. It's like when it's auto started the tachometer sensor isn't sending a signal to the gauge.
ANY advice you might have? Nobody in my home town works on these things, they just want to install a brand new system and that's $800 dollars. I hate to spend that if I can get this working.

Hello, This car does not come equipped with an immobilizer so I did not need to worry about that. For your situation, they sell bypass modules that connect to the remote starter system. Basically you put a chipped key into a box and a wire wraps around the ignition barrel to bypass the immoblizer. Check to see if your car has one, the previous owner might have removed the key out of it. Also, your tach might need to be calibrated with the system. There is a virtual tach setting and a setting for the use of an actual hard wire tach reading which will need to be calibrated to the system.

Did you have to add any relays to get everything working?

I would have needed one for the secondary ignition to work, but the prostart unit had an input for a secondary ignition/starter/accessory.
