This is a very creative way to use a reference for shot to match clip. Very smart. I look forward to getting more innovative but easy to implement techniques. A+
Cool, creative trick. I've seen some videos demonstrating RunwayML and they looked really cool & impressive but it was only a few examples & I haven't tried it myself... but it's exciting how fast AI is making filmmaking more accessible by the day with these powerful tools.... Y'know, until it takes over and kills us all... but til then!!! AWESOME!
Great innovative video. As a newer DaVinci Resolve user, I have two suggestions that would have helped me follow this. First, for newer users, its easier to follow if you check to make sure that the layouts are the same. I had closed the thumbnails in the timeline months ago, and it took me 30 minutes to work out where that control was to turn it on. Second, I didn't initially realize that copy look can only be done with an object on the timeline, not an item from the media pool (AFAIK -- If you can, you should point that out). I mention this because in this case, the only reason I see for putting the reference image on the timeline is to use it to match looks.
Since my comment got some attention, here is the update. Stable Diffusion is a little challenging to set up, but once you download some good models and LORAS, it’s the 2nd best image generation out there, just After the upcoming thing from openAI. But due to the Loras, stable Diffusiom XL has more potential for uniqueness
Sadly I’m not familiar with Final Cut Pro at all, but this method works with the free version of Resolve if you want to create or own LUTs, but if you download my ones they’ll work in FCP
Hey man if you're using your mic hand held like that the pop filter isnt gonna work. Yeti mics have internal noise blockers aswell so you dont even need one
You're going to blow up soon and never get a chance to read my comment, I really like the fonts and texts you use on your videos any chance I can find out how to use them myself?
A show I watched and that I recommend to everyone is Boardwalk Empire, it's just flawless to me, and the immersion is real! Also, thank you so much for what you're doing Robin, you're definitely a huge asset for the community! You earned my subscription!
Bro, you have destroyed the video with this Color Correction. The first step is: Color Correction, and after that is Color Grading. You need to balance colours of the video first.
This channel is going to blow up soon.
Agreed, quality stuff 👌

Great video - just what i needed! New Subby
Thanks for subscribing! I’m glad you liked the video. Do you have a plan to use the LUTs for something particularly?
Hey Robin...this technique would also work via screenshotting a movie or tv show you really like similar to generating the AI image, right?
Yes
Yupp! This method will work with any image you have - a movie, tv show, painting...whatever you want
holy crap this video is a real life hack… THANK YOU! just subbed
Thank YOU!
Thanks for sharing, Im an amateur for now, just downloaded Da vinci 18.5. saw and subscribed to your channel and video.
Thanks Paramveer! Best of luck on your editing journey! My next video is about Resolve 18.5 so keep an eye out :)

So much information, thanks
You're welcome!
Really cool approach. I’ll try it. But Midjurney is so early 2023. Stability XL is just as good, opensource, free and local

On 4:02 why those buildings in the background has strange edges?

Colourlab AI looks like a better option, especially for professionals.
Cool! I’ve never heard of it. I’ll check it out

Hi man I’m from bc too
Nice!
U the AI Mr beast
Goodness I’m tearing up here…If only I had the views to match lol
want the raw footage link to practise
it's compatible with Final Cut Pro ? because I have downloaded the AI but I can't use in FCPX

Appreciate it! I’ve switched over to using a shotgun mic now because that mic was a pain in the hole and leave me with no flexibility in post
@@robnjk i use a sennheiser mke 300 and it kicks ass in outdoor and indoor settings
Not to be funny but we been doing this on iPad using our app.

What is that rap at the intro (1:30)?
Same, what that song?
Interesting Idea - although I think you can find plenty of good references without the need of AI / MJ. But yeah Interesting
Totally - in my last video I talk about the importance of references and how I use Pinterest for reference. This is just a fun alternative
@@robnjk Pinterest is superb underated...
Check out my last video where I mention it ;)
Why does everyone use discord as an interface? Genuinely confused.
