The model for this home is the “Johnny B Goode.” This home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and has roughly 1,400 square foot. Let me know what you think about the video! We have seen the mobile home business come such a long way. In the old days most people referred to mobile homes as a trailer house. However some of the manufactured homes we carry are far from “trailer houses.”

The kitchen,living room and dining room sold me on this house. Everyone wants a big fancy mansion type house but this one is for real people. At least with this house ya don’t have to live for the house. I like the windows and the way they mixed up the flooring. Great video Chance

This is beautiful. As someone who has lived in a double wide, I prefer the bedrooms being separated.
Here's a thought Chance....can you cover the actual way these homes are constructed? Walls, pipes, insulation etc. Thanks!!! Oh and how about the 'roof' insulation?
My favorite parts of this home are the location of the side door and a dining room that has separation from the kitchen. I like this one.

This is a good value - there are some park model 399 sq. ft. 1 bedroom 1bath homes for just a little less. Admittedly this model has some economy features like the fiberglass tub shower and wire racks rather than wood shelves, but those can be upgraded later on if it bugs you.
I agree. Nobody lives in their bathrooms.
A unique layout. Nice cabinet color. They have used the space well, also. I do like to see the fancy homes, but it nice to see that homes like this are still being built.

Great home!! I would keep the dining room as it is. I feel all homes should have a dining table. I like that the sink is under a window rather than in the island. I would use the nook by the back door for a freezer.
My thoughts, exactly. (I would also upgrade the master bath with that beautiful tile work shown in some of the other videos.)
The thing I like about the Tempo series is that a lot of what you see is what you get, there aren't a lot of options, which is how they help keep the cost down. I know some of them can be had in HUD or Modular.
I love the exterior colors. Looks really nice!
It's the perfect size! Love that the living room and kitchen are open, but not.
My favorite part is the flex room! I'd maybe have a TV in there and a couple of chairs. My husband could watch TV while I crocheted and watched out the windows for the wildlife that live in our woods back there!
I love that it's not huge but still has 3 bedrooms. Add a basement and a wrap-around deck and it would be really nice.
I'd add more windows, remove all carpet ( I don't remember seeing any) and thank the Lord I lived in such a nice house.

Yes there’s some carpet in the living room and the bedrooms. I too would remove it. You can get area rugs if the floor is too cold or warm.
Hey, Chance, the house being sealed like that is good because it'll help keep creepy crawlies out! We lived in a real old teailer house a few years ago, and no matter what we did we couldn't keep out spiders, mice and scorpions. It was a nightmare! I got bit by brown recluse spuders 4 times while we lived there!

When you are in touch with the manufacturers please 🙏 please ask all of them to put on their web sites the first picture show the outside view. That is what would sell us on a home! We don’t want one when people drive by look at it and say “that’s a mobile home.”
I was prepared to not like this home after seeing the floor plan. But the dining room is separated from the front door so I'm happy 🙂

Chance, Great home. I liked the size of it. I love the Middlebury, IN area. It's so pretty there. A lot of Amish / Mennonite live around there. It was sweet hearing Greydon crying. 😊

Love, love, love it!!!! My opinion is Tempo Series have some of the best layout style houses out there. Their Brown Eyed Girl, Rocket Man, & The Lovely Day are my most favorites of the their series, such beautiful houses at a decent price point. I have to add this house to my Tempo most top favorites....

@@YaYaPaBla I just go to directly the manufactured company's website itself. Clayton Homes carry the Temp Series, so I go straight to Clayton Homes website. But you can go to any manufactured company website, I also go straight to Champion Homes, Hamilton Homes, and Franklin Homes website as well. On the websites you will see a lot of beautiful houses that hardly never get toured in any of these videos, because they always seem to pick/go for the most high end luxury houses to tour, because they are eye catching beautiful. But in fact to some people some of the most modest looking house is actually also very beautiful as well.....
I did like this layout. I've seen it before. I would put the front door entering the dining room then a double window on that living room wall looking out on the porch. needs drawer over cabinet in the island and next to the stove. A nuke over the stove. Wood shelves and not wire of course. And my medicine cabinets in the bathroom. It is an ideal master bath. The shower has seats and place to put soap and stuff. Great house. Just the right size.
This is one of the most practical I've seen. I look for TV to bed space can you lay in bed and watch your shows/Movies/and Chance's Home world. can the kids play their video games in there room on a 32-45 in. flat screen. can one of the kids move out and their room be turned into Media room or an office(or both be turned into either or after all the birds leave). The master is something to be left desired. Missing a proper back door, but this is super practical for a family of 4 needing to slum through life but has the basics down pat.
Great price. I would like to see bigger rooms for 1400 sq ft. at least 12x12. I definitely would upgrade that kitchen sink. Wish the island had stools on the end.

Not near enough kitchen cabinets. At least there is room for an upright freezer. No linen closets is a downfall.
I can totally see sizing down to something like this in the future.. this big ole farm house I love is definitely way more work than needed!!
It is a nice house it is not a waste of space. Bathroom upgrade would be nice but the other upgrades are better. I would also like no carpet. Thank You for making such good content.

Great tour Chance! My Clayton home is a 2024 ebuilt as well. I thought I’d be getting the square porcelain sinks but OH NO! They changed them. 😖
Cute home, but it seems small to me, and I live in a double wide. I would love to upgrade someday as it is from 1979. We really need at least a 4 bedroom, probably a triple wide!

Definitely interested in the HVAC change, the nordyne units (intertherm, coleman, maybe a couple other names) they were using weren't exactly the best. Had to have mine replaced in '19 after I got my new singlewide in '18. it was a downflow with vents in the floor only, the fan was literally sucking the condensate off the coil and threatening to rot the floor.
Bought my single wide in 2007, it wasn’t a month after we moved in, they just showed up and changed something out with the central air system. I wondered but didn’t ask. And my floors are rotten, the walls around the doors and windows have rotted. Stays damp, I wish we could get outta this piece of crap.

I would consider the first bath as the primary bath. More people use it. The master bath is the secondary bath is only used by the masters!

Modern manufactured homes can be really efficient. Try to go for less windows or smaller windows and upgraded insulation if you have the option.
Built in Middlebury Indiana. Formerly coachman housing complex now forest river owns most of complex Clayton is not forest river product.

nice home, but I think the shelves in the closet could run the length of the long wall and give more hanging space.
I’ve been looking for something to replicate my childhood home if we decide to demolish instead of renovate. And this one actually is closet our floor plan with the dining room being a bedroom so we would be losing a bedroom
Very nice but I’d want that refrigerator/storage wall moved completely, over to the wall open that area up.
I tell you what I change and that would be where that refrigerator is if you take down that damn and put the refrigerator somewhere else along the other wall you would have a hell of a lot more room for a dining
When we toured a Tempo series home, we noticed that the sheet vinyl kitchen flooring was puckering up and the kitchen counter edges were rough. We were told that no upgrades or changes could be made (not even colors).
I would like a double-wide about half this square footage, 2 bed, 1 bath. Not a tiny house, but a small house.

like to see more single wide"s with the prices going up on food. rent an apartment is around 1000 dollars a month. Single wide is the most affordable. Not interested in bedroom layout. more for the kitchen and living room

Very nice, Chance ! IMHO, tho, that little front porch outside is a waste of space.....We currently have that kind of set up, and have not once in 15 years ever sat on that porch !! It's usually too hot, or too cold !! Again, just my opinion !!
I wouldn't have to get a tile shower, but I would prefer no seats in the fiberglass one.
So, you’re sitting in the living room facing the kitchen, where do you put the tv.
Where in the world world you put a microwave. Not much counter space! Can the hood be nixed for a built-in microwave?
