    Perhaps the guy who conceptualised the 'ideal Crossfit athlete' wasn't aware of just how incredibly challenging this standard is. To have reached that pinnacle of hybrid perfection is amazing. Thanks for the inspiration and information, Fergus

    Always been interested in this challenge. Trying to do this with a sub 6 minute 2k row and 500lb squat same day.

      as someone who has run a 4:40, and rowed a 1:27 500m row, that row time sounds so much harder than a sub 5 min mile. How are you doing?

      @@nadermoini92 slowly inching my 2k down, might take a long while. Trying to move 5 seconds down each month on each 2k. At under 6:20 now. A sub 6 minute 2k is one of the hardest feats, and for sure much harder to do on average than a sub 5 minute mile, especially if your body isn’t long, but luckily, I have that on my side. Have squatted 550lbs at the same body weight I am now, so it’s just about not letting the strength waver too much as I bring my 2k down

    How important/how much effort did you put into your diet for this? How many calories a day did you find you were having to eat to keep up with the level of training required?

    This is super interesting, but please please please use both metric and imperial units at the same time. My slow conversion brain cannot work out if 212.5 kg for a tough single is close to 500 lbs, or how close a 400 m in 1:10 is to 5 min/mile pace without missing useful info. Keep up the good content

    If I wanted to squat 500 pounds that would be over three times my bodyweight... I'm happy that I'm getting close to doing twice my body weight

      Same my 145lb's are lucky to move 315 on a Good day lol
